The analysis of one of the global problems of today — the crisis of spirituality — is provided. It is shown that the spirituality of a modern personality among other life values (family, career, money, health, friendship, love, leisure time) in the context of the Wheel of Life by Paul J. Mayer occupies an insignificant place. It is proved that the mentioned fact is a litmus test of the disharmony of modern human life. The destruction of value imperatives of the spiritual basis leads inevitably to a crisis, which applies to both the individual and society as a whole. Accordingly, the spiritual devastation's possible effects and the ways to prevent it based on the implementation of the New Humanism ideas are revealed.

The article considers the problem of uncertainty as an integral attribute of modern human life. The importance of forming tolerance to uncertainty as an important means of organizing the life path of an individual is revealed. It is determined that the very ability of a young person to find his place in society, to properly build interpersonal relationships within the uncertainty of life events affects the future of both professional and life success. A young person in situations of uncertainty chooses one of two main strategies of action: destructive and constructive, which depends on the motivation and significance of the event for the individual. Scientists have developed different methods for studying tolerance / intolerance to uncertainty. This article presents the results of an empirical study that reveals the features of the development of tolerance for uncertainty in student youth

The purpose of the study is to study processes and psychological features of formation of human meaning in adulthood, due to the current uncertainty of social, economic and political situation and forces a person to constantly determine his position and view of the world. Addressing this important issue is primarily about activity consciousness of the individual, which aims to identify the meanings of events that occurring, constant search for new meanings, on the basis of which it would be possible to determine their place and vital role in changing reality.Methods. Adulthood is the longest period of human life (from adolescence to old age), so it is better to study this age by dividing it into separate stages. For our study, we chose the periodization of O.O. Bodalyov. The influence of the age factor on the significance of human values and spheres of life for a person is considered according to the method “Morphological test of life values” (by V.F. Sopiv, L.V. Karpushina), which is the result of using and further improving the method of I.G. Senin. This made it possible to explore the peculiarities of meaning-making in adulthood.Results. Differences in the significance of life spheres between age groups are more pronounced than random differences within the group. Thus, the importance of the spheres of life largely determines age. The minimum level of significance of the spheres of life is in the period of early adulthood, and they are most significant in the period of middle adulthood. Reaching the maximum value at this age, the level of importance of the spheres of life decreases over the years.Conclusions. It was found that the meaning of personality, its clear awareness, its reliability, are determined by viability, professional, family and age self-determination in life, which depends on the individual, his life position, his socio-psychological and social maturity and activity. Based on the empirical study, it is concluded that age largely determines the importance of life values and areas of life for man.As a result of the research it was found that during the transition from one age group of adulthood to another the meaning formation changes, in particular: in the early period of adulthood in the first place are the prospects of learning, professional self-determination; in the middle period of adulthood – career prospects, family life; in late adulthood – the prospects of social status.Key words: personality development, adulthood, transition stage, viability, meaningfulness of life, life values.

This research trying to see the phenomenon of secularization that is dominating the world. Some people argue that secularization is  dangerous for the Christian faith while some say that it is just the opposite that secularization is necessary. What is developing now is that secularization becomes a movement in personal thought. Some experts distinguish between secularization and secularism. Secularism is a kind of ideology that remove everything supernatural defining ones life. Secularism refers to the fact that religion has lost influence on the societal, the institutional and the individual levels.  Preaching is a main part of church to educate the congregation about God, what His will and also supernatural being. Expository preaching is the method of teaching scripture. There are many other ways to preach a sermon that are beneficial to a congregation. However, that these other forms of preaching should never replace expository preaching in the life of the church. Solid expository preaching brings scripture to life. It connects the meaning of the passage to the life of the hearer, helping them to apply what they’ve heard to their specific life situations. This is the way to maintain people from leaving God and supernatural being in modern human life.

This article theoretically proves constructive phenomenon of self identity as signs of self-disclosure own potential and prospects of development of individual construction. In addition, it empirically showes signs of psychological determination of the dominant instinct in a constructive self-determination of women with different social statuses. It was noted that the issue of self-preservation is associated with the peculiarities of manifestation of self-preservation instinct of man, but it needs higher-order cause social nature of the behavior that is localized at the highest point of self-realization. It theorized that self-realization determines the trend of rational organization of human life and manifests itself in its sense of life satisfaction. It was found that the psychological basis of constructive self-preservation of the individual make individually-typological characteristics of a person that reflect physiological and psychosocial reserves of self-realization. The developed program of empirical research, as well as the methods used complex mathematical processing of results of research allows to specify the content of the psychological determination of the dominant instinct of constructive self-realization а women age range of 35-45 years and with different social status. Women who bring up the problem child dominates the instinct of self-preservation, which is reflected in their excessive self-centeredness, and is accompanied by low levels of self-actualization, as opposed to the study of women who are raising healthy children and that against the backdrop of a pronounced tendency to self-actualization, dominated by basic instinct "research type" and "independent type."

AbstractSocial media has become a modern arena for human life, with billions of daily users worldwide. The intense popularity of social media is often attributed to a psychological need for social rewards (likes), portraying the online world as a Skinner Box for the modern human. Yet despite such portrayals, empirical evidence for social media engagement as reward-based behavior remains scant. Here, we apply a computational approach to directly test whether reward learning mechanisms contribute to social media behavior. We analyze over one million posts from over 4000 individuals on multiple social media platforms, using computational models based on reinforcement learning theory. Our results consistently show that human behavior on social media conforms qualitatively and quantitatively to the principles of reward learning. Specifically, social media users spaced their posts to maximize the average rate of accrued social rewards, in a manner subject to both the effort cost of posting and the opportunity cost of inaction. Results further reveal meaningful individual difference profiles in social reward learning on social media. Finally, an online experiment (n = 176), mimicking key aspects of social media, verifies that social rewards causally influence behavior as posited by our computational account. Together, these findings support a reward learning account of social media engagement and offer new insights into this emergent mode of modern human behavior.

Religiosity covers all aspects of human life values. Consumer decision-making in Muslim product purchase needs to involve religiosity. Muslim fashion is increasingly popular and becomes a potential business for fashion entrepreneurs in Indonesia. This condition evokes a dilemma for the consumers as Muslim fashion users on whether they have to conform to the religious sharia or follow the trend. The purpose of this article is to identify the role of religiosity as a factor affecting Muslim consumers to revisit Muslim fashion stores. This research involved 243 Muslim consumers of several Muslim fashion stores. The results showed that religiosity of Muslim consumers had a direct effect on patronage intention and indirect effect on patronage intention of Muslim fashion stores through Customer Satisfaction. The research findings are directed to managerial implications for Muslim fashion entrepreneurs in relation to consumer religiosity and marketing of Indonesian Muslim fashion products.

It has long been claimed that Homo sapiens is the only species that has language, but only recently has it been recognized that humans also have an unusual pattern of growth and development. Social mammals have two stages of pre-adult development: infancy and juvenility. Humans have two additional prolonged and pronounced life history stages: childhood, an interval of four years extending between infancy and the juvenile period that follows, and adolescence, a stage of about eight years that stretches from juvenility to adulthood. We begin by reviewing the primary biological and linguistic changes occurring in each of the four pre-adult ontogenetic stages in human life history. Then we attempt to trace the evolution of childhood and juvenility in our hominin ancestors. We propose that several different forms of selection applied in infancy and childhood; and that, in adolescence, elaborated vocal behaviors played a role in courtship and intrasexual competition, enhancing fitness and ultimately integrating performative and pragmatic skills with linguistic knowledge in a broad faculty of language. A theoretical consequence of our proposal is that fossil evidence of the uniquely human stages may be used, with other findings, to date the emergence of language. If important aspects of language cannot appear until sexual maturity, as we propose, then a second consequence is that the development of language requires the whole of modern human ontogeny. Our life history model thus offers new ways of investigating, and thinking about, the evolution, development, and ultimately the nature of human language.
