The Questionnaire for evaluating the Pattern of Life with Pain in the elderly was filled before the intervention, group educating of palliative care was carried out using an educational package, and the questionnaire was completed again immediately and one and three months after. The data was analyzed using mean, standard deviations, Fisher’s F test, and Greenhouse-Geisser and Bonferroni post-hoc test by employing SPSS- 16. Mean changes before teaching palliative care significantly differed from those of immediately and one and three months after the educational program (p = 0.0), (p = 0.004). There were significant differences between the stages of immediately and one month after the educational program and that of three months after it (p = 0.001), (p = 0.002). Concerning the personal life patterns, there were statistically significant differences between the stage immediately after the educational program and those before the intervention and three months after it (p = 0.005), (p = 0.000). Regarding the social life pattern, only the stage of one month after the educational program significantly differed from that of three months (p = 0.005). Mean growth in life pattern of the old women suffering from chronic pain in the stages after the intervention indicated the importance of and the necessity for palliative care during old age. Moreover, the success of this education three months after the educational program as compared to immediately and one month after it indicates that allocation of sufficient time plays a very important role in transferring information and in teaching methods of palliative care to old people.

This study aims: (1) to examine life skills acquired by students attending different levels of swimming courses. (2) To investigate the relation between teaching/learning methods used by swimming teachers and the level of life skills acquired. The population of this study were students who attended one of the three levels of the swimming courses in the Faculty of Physical Education /University of Jordan (n= 236). The sample of the study consisted of 142 students. Both “Life skills through swimming context scale” and “Teaching/ Learning methods in swimming context scale” were used to collect the required data. The data was analyzed using descriptive and statistical analysis. Results showed that the sample acquired the life skills through swimming context on a high level scale. Students believed that communication and self-confidence/self-esteem were the most important skills acquired (86%), followed by teamwork (85%), decision-making/responsibility (84%) and problem-solving (80%). There was a significant relation between life skills acquired and the teaching/ learning methodologies used including brainstorming, demonstration and guided practice, small groups, games and situation analysis. Therefore swimming context using the efficient participatory teaching methods proved to have a positive effect on life skills and youth development.

In the article the researchers are exploring the integration of traditional and distance learning methods identified as a result of quarantine measures during the coronavirus in high school. The main complex contradictions are revealed. Methods and decisions of a complex problem are developed. The tendencies of the development of distance education are researched. Scientific assumptions about an educology methodology are formed. Main stages of modern educational technologies in universities are defined. The study of integration processes between traditional and distance learning is carried out. The relations between subjects and objects of the university department are learned. It was revealed that the structure of the educational process is complicated due to the use of mobile means of communication and distance forms of educational communications in it, which leads to a change in teaching methods and forms. The features of the learning processes of modern students have specific features now. The necessity of using mobile devices and new software is analyzed. Attention is drawn to the fact that not all teachers are well versed in modern means of online group communications. The basic means of group communications such as: Moodle, Zoom, Skype, Teams and others, providing remote communication of students and teachers are analyzed. The features and specificity of these means of communication are considered. Their possibilities are being studied. Results of reengineering studies at the department are presented. The results of testing student training based on modeling methods are presented too. A digital platform of knowledge models, which consists of two components is created and used. The first component is an interconnected set of models of academic disciplines developed by teachers, and the second component is the knowledge models of these disciplines that students create during their studies. Teaching methods based on integrated intelligence during pandemic in universities are made. Ways to improve learning technologies based on the use of integrated intelligence are proposed in high school.
