During the course of seven years Sri Lankan and Swedish archaeologists in collaboration built up a core of what is today the Sri Lankan settlement archaeology. Through surveys, excavations and ethnoarchaeological studies an understanding was gradually obtained regarding settlements and subsistence strategies of the Sri Lankan dry zone, from the Mesolithic to the present, and a generation of young Sri Lankan archaeologists got a fair amount of necessary field training. The primary objective was to develop the human resources of Sri Lankan archaeology, but something can also be said about the research results of the project. This article gives a generalised background and, in very brief outline, an overview of the work done, its methodology, constraints and results.

This research analysizes the factors affecting the business expectations of human resources in entertainment and event management. The research results have showed that of the 5 factors affecting the human resource expectations of businesses in entertainment and event management, the factor “professional knowledge” has the biggest impact on the expectations of the businesses. Next to it are “attitude”, “skill” and “ability”. The factor “fundamental knowledge” has the least influence on the expectations of the businesses.

The purpose of this research is to measure the percentage of management readiness of PKBM in following accreditation. This research was a quantitative descriptive study using a questionnaire as the research instrument. The sample in this study was 8 respondents who were PKBM managers in Rejang Lebong Regency. The finding obtained from the results of the PKBM readiness in registering institutions in SISPENA showed a percentage of 84.28571% so that it was included in the category of very ready to register their institutions at SISPENA. For the readiness of 8 standard documents, the research results obtained show a percentage of 71.25673% so that it was included in the quite ready category. For performance readiness/ implementation of activities, the results of the study showed a percentage of 62.32039% so that it was included in the category of not ready. Based on research findings, it was known that the obstacles in preparing the accreditation process were cost and human resources. The conclusion from this study was that PKBM managers in Rejang Lebong Regency were very prepared to register their institutions in SISPENA because all PKBM already have an NPSN as the main requirements for admission to SISPENA. In addition, it was also known that PKBM managers are quite prepared in preparing 8 standard documents because on average PKBM managers already have 8 standard documents. The manager of PKBM was not ready to prepare the performance/implementation of activities because the data found was not in accordance with 8 standard documents.

Abstract The development of cattle feeding has benefited from research and data-based decision making. To remain successful in an increasingly competitive global marketplace, scientists supporting the feeding industry must continue in this tradition. For research results to be useful to industry, experimental models should be relevant to the questions being asked, and production data should be reflective of commercial conditions. While much discussion has compared the advantages of commercial large-pen research and small-pen models more typical of university facilities, both are useful for contributing to new knowledge. In order to minimize both Type I and Type II errors, researchers should consider how to best control the random variation between experimental units treated alike in their own systems. Large-pen models have advantages in replicating “commercial conditions,” detecting smaller differences, understanding distributions and categorical outcomes, but these models may be limited in the number of treatments and the ability to take multiple measurements or samples from individual animals. A primary objective of university research is the training of the next generation of scientists and industry professionals. Cattle feeders must use data generated with biological methods and make economic decisions. Therefore, research results should be presented clearly so economic implications can be modeled and likely variation around means and differences between treatments understood. Predicting cattle growth, especially carcass growth, more accurately will continue to be important, as will ways to understand and manage individual animals within commercial facilities. New technologies, including sensors, genetic testing, and data management systems have potential, but value propositions need to be demonstrated and feasible implementation strategies developed. However, as animal types, feed ingredients, and market-driven endpoints have changed over time, old dogmas should continually be re-evaluated in contemporary conditions.

A lot of large-scale companies in Taiwan have actively expanded the overseas businesses in past years. In addition to recruiting local people as the human resources, expatriates from the mother country could better conform to the enterprise principles and policies. This study aims to discuss the correlations between expatriates and Organizational Justice, Organizational Commitment, Job Engagement, and Organizational Effectiveness and expects to provide decision reference for relevant industries. Questionnaires were distributed among and collected from the management and the expatriates of enterprises which were ranked top-ten revenue in 2013 through e-mails. A total of 300 copies of questionnaires were distributed, and 143 valid copies were retrieved, with the retrieval rate of 48%. The research results concluded the significant correlations between 1. Organizational Justice and Organizational Commitment, 2. Organizational Justice and Job Engagement, 3. Organizational Commitment and Job Engagement, 4. Organizational Commitment and Organizational Effectiveness, and 5. Job Engagement and Organizational Effectiveness.

The purposes of this research are to find out a) the strategies in human resources development to improve the quality of Postgraduate lecturers at IAIN Curup, (b) supporting factors, and  (c) the obstacles of human rights development. Using qualitative research method, the data were collected through interviews and documentary study. The research results showed that the strategies used for developing human resources or improving the quality of postgraduate lecturers include: (1) organizing the research methodology training; (2) holding the scientific journal writing training; (3) holding book writing/teaching materials training; and (4) involving lecturers into National and International Seminars. Supporting factors for human resource development are (a) high commitmentof  IAIN Curup Postgraduate management, (b) organization and socialization activities for professors acceleration programs, and (c) conducting coaching clinic activities for reputable international publications, in the form of programs to publish research results in reputable international scientific journals. Meanwhile, the obstacles are inadequate infrastructure and limited funds because there are still few students and tuition fee is still in the third category in the Ministry of Religion's General Cost Standards (SBU). The funds have not been fully handed over to the Postgraduate, because it is still centralized at the Institute, if the Postgraduate organize an activity, it must be approved by the Institute before it run.

The round scad produced will have the best quality if the catching and handling method onboard and at the port is carried out quickly, precisely and carefully. The entire handling activity has been regulated in the Decree of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KEPMEN KP) number 52A/KEPMEN-KP/2013. This research aimed to determine the level of conformity between the handling carried out onboard with the standard handling regulated in the KEPMEN KP number 52A/KEPMEN-KP/2013. The analysis results will be used as the basis for developing alternative strategies for the standard implementation of Round scad on the mini purse seine boats in the Regency of Rembang. The data collecting was carried out by observation and interviews with respondents. Data were analyzed using gap analysis, which is looking for the difference between standard handling and the handling carried out during the research. The elements analyzed were boat facilities, onboard hygiene, human resources, tools and equipment for handling fish, as well as fishing technique and catching unit. The research results showed that the average score of the conformity of handling on the five elements are 69.52%, which means that the round scad handling on mini purse seine boat in the Regency of Rembang is not reaching the standards regulated in the KEPMEN KP number 52A/KEPMEN-KP/2013. This is caused by the low level of conformity in the element of human resources of 38.56%.
