The learning process at the time COVID-19 must be implemented online. The use of media in learning is very important. The whatsapp application was chosen to be used in this online learning. This study aims to obtain information about the application of the WhatsApp application in online learning and to find out what are the advantages and disadvantages of using the WhatsApp application in online learning. The research subjects here are the teachers and students of SD Yapita Surabaya and the object under study is the use of the WhatsApp application in online learning. This study used a qualitative research design. The instruments used in this study were observation, surveys and interviews. The results obtained are that the application WhatsApp can be applied in the learning process online and there are also deficiencies in its application, namely the existence of obstacles regarding face-to-face implementation through the existing features of the WhatsApp application and the absence of features to limit student work time and for the advantages the WhatsApp application is able to accommodate the implementation of the learning process well.

The Impact

This study aims to know the impact of online learning experienced by teachers and students during the elevate Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses qualitative research, which collects data information using interview techniques, namely to find data about relevant matters. The research subjects were students of SD N Sugihan 03, Bendosari. The results showed that the learning process during the pandemic changed by using a long distance network. This impacts teachers because of a lack of ability to provide learning materials and an annoyance of the learning process that causes the unexpected purpose of learning to go unfulfilled. So that it makes the material incomplete and the use of learning media in online learning is not optimal. Student assessment is also constrained by mere cognitive assessments.

The Covid-19 pandemic has led to policies that make teachers and students have to adapt the face-to-face learning model to online learning. The teacher of SD N 2 Cakranegara admits that there are limitations to the variety of audio-visual learning media used. The teachers also don't know and have never tried to develop game games with learning content, even though Android-based games are very possible to be developed and accessed portable on smartphones, the majority of which are already owned by teachers and students. The provision of workshops and assistance in making Android-based educational games for SD N 2 Cakranegara teachers aims to improve skills in creating and developing learning media in the form of educational games and maximizing the use of smartphones. The targeted output in this service activity is the existence of educational games that are ready to be used for the online learning process through appsgeyser.com and quickappninja.com.

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected all sectors of human activity, including the education sector. The pandemic forced learning activities to be carried out online (online). Of course this is a new habit especially at the elementary school level where the learning process is carried out face-to-face in full. In overcoming these problems, various distance learning media in the form of applications were introduced to students and parents. However, there is an application that is familiarly used by students and parents of students that can be used for the online learning process, namely the Whatsapp application. The purpose of this study is to look at the online learning process in elementary schools during the Covid-19 pandemic era. This study uses a qualitative approach with survey research methods. The research subjects were teachers of SDN 1 Kalipasung in Cirebon Regency as well as research informants. The data collection technique was carried out by conducting in-depth interviews related to the process of implementing online learning for elementary school teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. The activity of analyzing and presenting research data is carried out descriptively. The results of this study are Online Learning in Elementary Schools During the Covid 19 Pandemic Era, especially at SDN Kalipasung 1 when viewed from the learning process, it is only used as a means of sending assignments, but the learning process does not involve WhatsApp media completely. In the aspect of supervision, the teacher is also not fully able to monitor the student learning process, as a result, the teacher must cooperate with parents in conducting supervision. The responses of parents and students related to the online learning process stated that they wanted to return to carrying out normal learning (face to face) as usual because they felt they were not used to online learning. Abstrak Pendemi Covid-19 telah mempengaruhi segala sektor aktifitas kegiatan manusia, termasuk sektor pendidikan. Pandemi tersebut memaksa kegiatan pembelajaran dilakukan secara dalam jaringan (daring). Tentu ini menjadi kebiasan baru apalagi di jenjang sekolah dasar yang mana proses pembelajaran dilakukan secara tatap muka secara penuh. Dalam mengatasi permasalah tersebut, berbagai media pembelajaran jarak jauh dalam bentuk aplikasi mulai diperkenalkan kepada siswa maupun orangtua siswa. Namun ada aplikasi yang familiar digunakan oleh siswa maupun orang tua siswa yang dapat digunakan untuk proses pembelajaran daring yakni aplikasi Whatsapp. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk melihat proses pembelajaran daring di sekolah dasar pada era panedemi Covid – 19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian survei. Subjek penelitian ialah guru-guru SDN 1 Kalipasung yang ada di Kabupaten Cirebon sekaligus menjadi informan penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam (In-depth Interview) terkait proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring guru Sekolah Dasar selama pandemik Covid-19. Kegiatan analisis dan penyajian data hasil penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini yakni Pembelajaran Daring di Sekolah Dasar  Pada Era Pandemi Covid 19 khususnya di SDN Kalipasung 1 jika ditinjau dari proses pembelajarannya hanya dijadikan sebagai sarana pengiriman tugas, tetapi proses pembelajaran tidak melibatkan media whatsapp sepenuhnya. Dalam aspek pengawasan juga tidak sepenuhnya guru dapat memantau proses belajar siswa, alhasil guru harus bekerjasama dengan orang tua dalam melakukan pengawasan. Adapun respon orangtua siswa dan siswa terkait dengan proses pembelajaran daring menyatakan ingin kembali melaksanakan pembelajaran secara normal (tatap muka) seperti biasa karena merasa belum terbiasa dengan pembelajaran daring.

This study aims to determine how the headmaster's leadership strategy is in improving the quality of online learning during the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) pandemic at MTs Negeri 2 Langkat Regency. naturalistic which means observing a problem subject that arises naturally. The collected data are in the form of narration, text, written, spoken or in the form of pictures. Qualitative research is conducted to understand the activities, behavior and ways of life of other people, social or other natural symptoms. The strategy of the madrasah principal is the key to success in achieving the stated goals of the madrasah. The head of the madrasah as the highest leader in the education unit actually has visionary thoughts in developing the madrasah he leads, such as having a precise strategy in advancing his madrasah. Without a strategy, the madrasah program will not work. Strategy is the first and most important step when a leader intends to advance the madrasa. During the Covid-19 pandemic the learning process could not be stopped even though educational institutions were temporarily closed, face-to-face learning was not allowed, so online learning was implemented where activities were carried out from home. The strategy of the madrasa principal is to implement several applications such as 1) Zooom Meeting, 2) Google Classroom, 3) Google Meet, 4) WhatsApp Group, and 5) Email in supporting the online learning process at MTs Negeri 2 Langkat Regency. This strategy is a solution for students during the Covid-19 pandemic, students can learn from home online, so that they can interact via the media and can receive subject matter provided by the teacher.

The sophisticated information and technology (IT) development can be the answer for various problems post the covid-19 pandemic, particularly the teaching and learning challenges. The role of IT that is booming nowadays is online learning. Online learning is obviously different from regular learning. In this mode of learning, the students are required to have the ability to receive and process information. It serves as media that connect teachers and students who are being remote from one another at any time and anyplace. There are various media utilized to perform online learning such as WhatsApp, Google Meet, Zoom, Google Classroom, and other e-learning platforms. Among all these media, though, WhatsApp apparently appointed as the simplest and easiest media to access in all levels of education. Online learning at current is the effective medium to carry on the teaching and learning process in all levels of education. For the effectiveness of online teaching and learning process during the covid-19 pandemic, there have been a number of learning models suggested by the expert such as remote learning, face to face learning, e-learning, project-based learning, and Blended Learning.

Pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perlunya adaptasi dalam hal mengelola proses pembelajaran tatap muka ke pembelajaran online yang dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa guna tetap dapat mengikuti perkembangan zaman dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas. Adapun kegiatan ini akan dilakukan melalui zoom meeting dengan menggunakan metode sosialisasi. Sasaran dalam kegiatan ini adalah guru-guru di lingkungan SMKN 1 Karawang. Luaran pengabdian akan dipublikasikan di jurnal buana pengabdian UBP Karawang. Kata Kunci : pengelolaan pembelajaran online, pandemic. Abstract This dedication is motivated by the need for adaptation in terms of managing the face-to-face learning process to online learning carried out by teachers and students in order to keep abreast of the times and improve the quality of learning in the classroom. This activity will be carried out through a zoom meeting using the socialization method. The targets in this activity are teachers in the SMKN 1 Karawang environment. In March 2020, the South African President Mr Cyril Ramaphosa announced a national lockdown due to the rising cases of the Covid‑19 pandemic. As a result, some of the higher education institutions closed under lockdown level 5 and strategies had to be developed to adapt to the “new norm”. Consequently, students and the living and learning spaces in South Africa were affected, necessitating therefore that transformation in all spheres takes place. This study, through a qualitative research design, investigated the effect of Covid‑19 on students and the living and learning spaces at a selected university in South Africa. Fifteen students and ten Residence Advisors (RAs) were telephonically interviewed. The results revealed that the living and learning spaces had been significantly transformed by the Covid‑19 pandemic. The operations of these spaces had been compelled to change in order to comply with the Covid‑19 regulations, such that student learning was shifted from face-to-face to online learning. This meant more time spent indoors, stricter measures now in place and the RA roles having been broadened to ensure that they also monitor compliance. The study also noted that even after the pandemic, things will still take time to get back to normal. This article concludes that Covid‑19 has had a huge effect on the living and learning spaces as well as students at the selected university and that both students and staff should play their roles effectively to ensure that everyone remains safe.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesiapan guru dan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran daring di SD Inpres Lae-Lae 2, serta mengetahui proses pembelajaran daring di SD Inpres Lae-Lae 2. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan peserta didik kelas IV. Pengumpulan data diambil melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Penulis berperan sebagai pewawancara langsung untuk menggali data melalui guru dan peserta didik kelas IV. Hasil penelitian kesiapan guru dalam pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi covid-19 di SD Inpres Lae-Lae 2 ini menunjukkan terlaksana dengan baik. Walaupun pembelajaran ini dilakukan dengan daring, guru tetap membuat RPP, mempersiapkan bahan ajar dan media pembelajaran sebelum memulai proses pembelajaran. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring kesiapan peserta didik juga sudah terlaksana dengan baik, karena mereka sudah mempersiapkan apa saja yang dibutuhkan dalam pembelajaran daring, seperti buku, pulpen, dan handphone. Dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran daring ini aplikasi yang digunakan adalah whatsapp dan zoom, adapun kendala yang ditemukan guru dan peserta didik yaitu kurang stabilnya jaringan internet sehingga mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar. This study aims to determine the readiness of teachers and students in online learning at SD Inpres Lae-Lae 2, and to determine the online learning process at SD Inpres Lae-Lae 2. This study is qualitative research with a case study method. The subjects in this study were teachers and fourth grade students. Data collection was taken through observation, interviews, and documentation. The author acts as a direct interviewer to collect data through teachers and fourth grade students. The results showed that the readiness of teachers in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Inpres Lae-Lae 2 Elementary School was carried out well. Although learning is done online, the teacher continues to plan learning by making online lesson plans, preparing teaching materials in the form of learning media and preparing teaching materials before the learning process takes place. In the implementation of this online learning process, the applications used are whatsapp and zoom, while the obstacles found by teachers and students are the unstable internet connection so that they experience difficulties in learning.

The purpose of this study is to describe how the Microsoft Teams application is used in online learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The data technique is done by collecting information, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were then described descriptively. From this method, the research results show that the use of Microsoft Teams in online learning activities is said to be quite effective and efficient. With various features in one application that makes it easier for teachers and students to access, because teachers can deliver materials using various facilities or features provided by the Team, not only in text but also in text. video form. In addition, teachers can also assess the activeness of their students with the chat feature, and can efficiently assign assignments as evaluation materials to see the level of student understanding. In addition, Teams can also be used for video reservations for face-to-face learning via online. The article analyzes circumstances under which most educational institutions in Ukraine have found themselves with the spread of Covid-19 where teachers and students had to quickly adjust to not quite conventional, sometimes stressful learning environment. The results of the analysis of the survey conducted among 150 1st and 2nd year students majoring in sciences at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv have been presented. Having considered the findings of the survey, the advantages and disadvantages of online learning, as well as recommendations both for the teachers and students with the view to make it more effective have been elucidated. There have been outlined the following advantages of online learning: it is less time consuming; it allows flexible time and place management; it improves students’ technical skills; it makes students more self-disciplined; it is less pricy than traditional education; it is more friendly for the students’ health. Although it has been proven that online learning has its disadvantages, among which: lack of vital social contacts and face-to-face communication with peers; preventing students from academic dishonesty; concentrating attention on the subject of studying and ignoring distractions; procrastination; teachers being sometimes unfamiliar with advanced internet technologies; lack of motivating methods and activities. In this respect authentic activities targeted at immersion occured to demonstrate many benefits within online learning environment as they motivate students through real life situations and solving problems. On the basis of literature review of recent research, key characteristics of authentic activities have been defined. The recommendations for both the students as active participants of the learning process and the teachers as organizers and moderators of this process have been outlined. The conclusion was made that teachers in the first place have a chance to change the priorities and make the studying process more exciting, motivating and productive.
