This study aims to describe the personality dynamics of the characters in the novel Harapan Di Atas Sajadah by Mawar Malka. The theory used is Jungian psychology, namely the theory of the importance of consciousness and the unconscious to form a complete person in relation to experiences and relationships with the Creator. The research method used a qualitative descriptive method. The research data is in the form of quotes through dialogue between characters and stories that describe the dynamics of personality in terms of the principles of interaction, function, and purpose of using psychic energy. The results of the research and discussion show that (1) the dynamics of personality in terms of the principles of interaction consist of the principles of opposition, compensation, and merger. This principle becomes the basis for the dynamics of personality that initially has a bad personality to become better, (2) personality dynamics in terms of the function of using psychic energy, namely the strength of enthusiasm, desire, and will, (3) personality dynamics in terms of the purpose of using psychic energy consisting of progressions and regressions. The personal progression of a character displays two types of personality, namely an extroverted attitude (open) and an introverted attitude (closed). Thus, the dynamics of the character's personality show significant changes. Changes related to social problems and their relationship with the Creator for the better.

This study aims to describe the struggles experienced by the two main characters in the novel in getting their freedom and also to elaborate the important of freedom for the main characters as human rights. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive method with the sociology of literature approach. The primary data were collected from descriptions and utterances of the main characters and narrators in the novel. The supporting data were obtained from the library, internet, journals, and articles. The results of this research indicate that there is struggle of the main characters in obtaining their freedom as a human in this novel. Huckleberry Finn as the main character fought for his freedom from a drunk and abusive father, while Jim, as the second main character fought for his freedom from slavery. The two figures then met and made an adventure together to get their own freedom.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan karakteristik kebahasaan teks pidato mahasiswa yang berperan menjadi guru BP, dan (2) mendeskripsikan implementasi karakteristik kebahasaan teks pidato mahasiswa yang berperan menjadi guru BP sebagai bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia di SMP. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang terdapat dalam pidato mahasiswa yang berperan menjadi guru BP. Sumber data penelitian berupa wacana pidato mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dan catat. Untuk menganalisis data penelitian ini digunakan teknik padan referensial dan padan fonetis artikulatoris, teknik perluasan dalam metode agih, dan teknik baca markah. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa karakteristik kebahasaan dalam teks pidato mahasiswa yang berperan menjadi guru BP  terdapat enam bidang, yakni (1) bidang ragam non-formal, (2) bidang sosiolinguistik yang meliputi campur kode dan alih kode, (3) bidang sintaksis terdiri dari pleonasme, konjungsi, dan kata mubadzir, (4) bidang fonologi meliputi kesalahan epentesis dan kesalahan pengucapan bunyi atau pelafalan bunyi, (5) bidang morfologi yang meliputi proses afiksasi prefiks me-, kata keterangan jumlah dan derajat, kata keterangan tempat, keterangan akibat (keterangan konsekuatif), kata depan pada dipakai jika diikuti kata keterangan waktu, dan penggunaan kata depan kepada, dan repetisi, dan (6) bidang pragmatik yaitu interjeksi. Kata kunci: Karakteristik kebahasaan, pidato, guru BP   Abstract This study aims (1) to describe the linguistic characteristics​​in the speeches of students who act as BP teachers and (2) to describethe implementation the linguistic characteristics ​​in the speeches of students who act as BP teachers. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. The research data are in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences contained in student speeches which play the role of becoming BP teachers. The source of research data is in the form of student speech discourse. The data collection technique uses the technique to see and note. To analyze this research data used referential equivalent techniques and articulatory phonetics, extension techniques in the method of religion, and marking reading techniques. The results of this study found that the linguistic form ​​in the speeches of students who act as BP teachers. This research method uses a qualitative ​​in the speech of students acting as BP teachers had six fields, namely (1) non-formal variety fields, (2) sociolinguistic fields which included code mixing and code switching, (3) syntactic fields consisting of pleonasms, conjunctions, and the word mubadzir, (4) the field of phonology includes episodes of errors and pronunciation of sounds or pronunciation of sounds, (5) the field of morphology which includes the affixation process of the prefix, adverbs of number and degrees, place adverbs, statements of consequences (consequential information), the preposition used if followed by the adverb of time, and the use of the preposition for, and repetition, and (6) the field of pragmatics, namely interjection. This study describes the structure and interrelationships between elements in the novel Kim Ji-yeong born in 1982 by Cho Nam-joo. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a structural approach. The data generated is in the form of text related to the building blocks of the novel Kim Ji-yeong born in 1982 by Cho Nam-joo published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama in 2019 in Jakarta. However, this novel is actually a translated novel from Korean which was published in 2016.

Abstrak: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk kesalahan berbahasa pada komentar di media sosial Twitter yang diunggah pada tahun 2021. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang terdapat dalam ruang percakapan milik @omarabdr_. Sumber data yang digunakan yaitu status dan komentar pada media sosial Twitter. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca dan catat. Analisis data menggunakan metode padan dengan teknik hubung-banding menyamakan (HBS) dan hubung-banding membedakan (HBB). Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kesalahan berbahasa pada komentar di media sosial Twitter berupa (1) bidang kesalahan fonologi yang meliputi kesalahan huruf kapital berjumlah 10, kesalahan penggunaan fonem berjumlah 7, dan kesalahan penggunaan ejaan berjumlah 10; (2) bidang kesalahan morfologi yang meliputi kesalahan kata ulang berjumlah 8 dan penggunaan afiks berjumlah 3; (3) bidang kesalahan sosiolinguistik yang berupa campur kode dan alih kode berjumlah 10. Abstract: This article aims to identification the form of language errors in comments on Twitter as social media uploaded in 2021. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. The research data is in the form of word, phrases, clauses, and sentences contained in @omarabdr_’s conversation space. Sources of data used are status and comments on Twitter. Data collection techniques used reading and note-taking techniques. Analysis of the data using the matching method with the comparison-matching technique and the comparison-differentiating technique.  The results of this research found that language errors in comments on Twitter, namely (1) phonological error fields which include 10 capital letter errors, 7 phoneme usage errors, and 10 spelling errors; (2) morphological errors which includes rephrasing errors totaling 8 and the use of affixes totaling 3; (3) sosiolinguistic errors in the form of code mixing and code switching are 10.

This research is entitled Analysis of Multicultural Values in the novel Assalamualaikum Beijing. This study aims to (1) know multicultural values (2) describe the multicultural values contained in the novel Assalamualaikum Beijing. The main data source in this study is the Assalamualaikum Beijing novel published in 2013 by Asma Nadia with a thick 360-page book. The novel was chosen because the content of the story presented was very interesting giving fresh meaning to the state of multicultural value difference in Beijing with in Indonesia. The focus of this study is related to Multicultural values found in the Assalamualaikum Beijing novel. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used in this study are using library techniques and content analysis (analysis content). The results of this study are aimed at the public that the multicultural values contained in the Assalamualaikum Beijing novel include values of tolerance, democratic values, religious values, and cultural values. The researcher conducts this research with the aim that the public realize the importance of multiculturalism values such as tolerance values, democratic values, religious values, and cultural values applied in life.

This research aims to describe the romantic elements that create the nuances of beauty found in the novel Kau, Aku, dan Sepucuk Angpau Merah. The problem of this research is how the romantic elements form create the nuances of beauty found in the novel Kau, Aku, dan Sepucuk Angpau Merah. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with literature study techniques. The results of the research prove that the romantic elements in the novel are in two aspects, namely the love aspect and the love expression aspect. The aspects contained in the novel are the romance that occurred between Borno and May. The aspects of expression contained in the novel in the form of rich social status of poor, joy and sorrow, true love, loyalty, and dreams are achieved.

This study aimed to describe the personality structure of the main character in Marwah Mamdouh’s novel Na'am Ahwaka using Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic approach. Marwah Mamdouh presented a fictional story that illustrated the personality structure form, namely the condition of the soul and the emotional outbursts experienced by the character. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method to express the personality structure forms of the main characters in the novel. The obtained research data as words, phrases, sentences, and discourse showed the personality structure of the main characters in the novel. The findings of the research were narratives that showed the structure of personality comprising, first, Id which was a part of the psychology; second, Ego which was the only area of the mind that had contact with the reality; third, Super Ego was the absorption of individuals from combined values and moral values that provide a boundary between the good and bad things. This study concluded that id dominated all the problems experienced by the main character in the novel.

This study aims to explain the feminism of the Suar character in the novel “Catatan Juang” by Fiersa Besari in terms of liberalist feminism and post-modern feminism. This research method is a qualitative descriptive method. The source of data in this research is the novel "Catatan Juang" by Fiersa Besari. The research data is in the form of the depiction of the main character in the novel. The results of this study indicate that,1) the liberal feminism of the Suar character who wants to be considered equal to men through strengthening in the public space, and 2) the post-modern feminism of the Suar character which shows the equality of men and women based on language and thought patterns.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendekripsikan tanggapan pembaca terhadap novel Le Petit Prince (2) mendeskripsikan horizon harapan pembaca terhadap novel Le Petit Prince, dan (3) mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab perbedaan tanggapan dan horizon harapan pembaca. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa teks yang memuat tanggapan pembaca novel Le Petit Princeyang terdiri dari 20 orang, sedangkan sumber datanya berupa artikel dan makalah yang dimuat di media massa cetak dan elektronik termasuk internet. Instrumen penelitian berupa seperangkat konsep tentang pembaca, tanggapan pembaca, dan horizon harapan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi dan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yang didapat sebagai berikut. (1) Seluruh pembaca menanggapi atau menilai positif unsur tema, alur, tokoh, latar, sudut pandang, gaya bahasa, teknik penceritaan, bahasa, dan isi novel Le Petit Prince. (2) Harapan sebagian besar pembaca sebelum membaca novel Le Petit Prince sesuai dengan kenyataan ke sembilan unsur di dalam novel Le Petit Prince, sehingga pembaca dapat dengan mudah menerima dan memberikan pujian pada novel Le Petit Prince. (3) Faktor penyebab perbedaan tanggapan dan horizon harapan pembaca selain perbedaan stressing unsur yang ditanggapi juga karena perbedaan pengetahuan tentang sastra, pengetahuan tentang kehidupan, dan pengalaman membaca karya sastra.Kata kunci: tanggapan pembaca, horizon harapan, Le Petit PrinceAbstractThis study aims to (1) describe reader’s responses to the novel Le Petit Prince (2) to describe the reader's expectations horizon of Le Petit Prince's novel, and (3) to describe the factors causing differences in responses and the horizon of readers' expectations. This research is a descriptive qualitative research type. The research data consist of a set of paragraphs that contains readers' responses to Le Petit Prince's novel, while the data sources are articles and papers published in print and electronic mass media including the internet. The research instruments are a set of reader concepts, reader responses, and expectations horizon. The technique of collecting data is observation and data are analyzed by using qualitative descriptive technique. The results obtained are as follow: (1) All readers respond and valuethe theme elements,plots, characters, background, point of view, language, titles, storytelling techniques, language, and extrinsic novel Le Petit Prince positively. (2) The expectations of most readers before reading Le Petit Prince's novels are in accordance with the nine facts in Le Petit Prince's novel, so readers can easily accept and give prise to Le Petit Prince's novel. (3) Factors causing differences in responses and horizon of readers' expectations other than the stressing differences of the elements being addressed also due to the differences in knowledge of literature, knowledge of life and literary reading experience. Sosiolinguistik memberikan pengetahuan tentang code switching (campur kode). Analisis teks novel untuk memahami penggunaan campur kode penutur dapat dilaksanakan untuk pengembangan ilmu sosiologi bahasa. Metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam menganalisis temuan dan mengklasifikasikan pencampuran kode dari Novel Andre Herata Sang Pemimpi. Analisis data berfokus pada kalimat dan paragraf yang menunjukkan penggunaan pencampuran kode di dalamnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada satu jenis pencampuran kode yang ditemukan dalam novel Sang Pemimpi yaitu pencampuran kode luar (bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris) yang kemunculannya ada dalam bentuk kata, frasa, dan penyisipan klausa. Penggunaan dan jenis-jenis pencampuran kode yang ada dalam novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata meyangkut pencampuran kode; pada pencampuran berbagai unit linguistik, seperti morfem, kata-kata, pengubah, frasa, klausa dan kalimat, terutama yang berasal dari dua sistem tata bahasa yang berpartisipasi dalam sebuah kalimat. Dapat disimpulkan narator menggunakan pencampuran kode dari Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, dan pencampuran kode luar dari Bahasa Inggris; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Bahasa Arab. Abstract. Sociolinguistics gave knowledge of the switching codes. Text analysis of novels for understanding the interdiction of interpreting codes can be performed for the development of language sociology. The qualitative descriptive method of analyzing the find and classifying the code mixing of the novel Andre herata Sang pemimpi. Data analysis focuses on sentences and paragraphs that indicate the use of a code mixing in them. Studies have shown that one type of mixing code found in the Sang pemimpi novel is that it includes a mixture of outside codes (Indonesian and English) that appears in the form of words, phrases, and insertion of klausa. The use and kinds of coded blending in the book of Sang pemimpi Andrea hirata passes the mixing of codes; In the mixing of various linguistic units, such as morpheme, words, modifiers, phrases, clauses and sentences, especially those that come from the two grammatical systems that participate in a sentence. It could be inferred that the narrator used a code mixing from Indonesian, Malay, and a proprietary blend of English; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Arabic.
