The culture of consumerism is almost a pathology for people all over the world. Consumerism culture according to Jean Baudrillard is the fulfillment of the human need for signs. Therefore, it is also necessary to identify a consumerist culture in a minimalist community that has thoughts or principles that are contrary to consumerism. The Lyfe With Less minimalist community or can be shortened to the LWL community is an Indonesian minimalist community. This community is a place for people to learn to be minimalist. Minimalism is closely related to reducing consumption in life, in order to get more happiness. Based on the many programs owned by the LWL community, there is one program that is the hallmark of this community. The programs are cross-linked. The research objective is to answer major and minor questions. The major question is how the interrelationships of consumer culture and processes in the LWL community are interrelated. While the minor question is how the involvement of consumerism culture when the process crosses over. This research method uses a virtual ethnographic qualitative method. The results show that the LWL minimalist community has anti-consumerism thoughts, including cross-linking programs to extend the functionality of goods.

Burger King is the one of the most successful fast food restaurant in the world. According to Wikipedia, there are 17,796 locations of Burger King all over the world in 2018. Burger King also has its Instagram account. Now this account has been followed by 1,6 million people and has posted 938 posts. That statistic shows that Burger King is active in social media especially in Instagram platform. The writer see the indication of the using of Persuasive Strategies because in promoting their product. In this research the writer wants to know the persuasive strategies that applied in Burger King’s Instagram post caption and the most used strategy. This research applied Qualitative Method as research method. This research has two findings, first, there are 13 strategies that appear in Burger King’s Instagram post caption they are, Anecdote, Assonance, Cliché, Connotation, Evidence, Everyday/Colloquial Language, Hyperbole, Imagery, Inclusive Language, Pun, Repetition, Rhetorical Question, and Simile. Second, the most used strategy is Everyday/Colloquial Language.

Competition in the restaurant and cafe industry at this time is very tight and competitive. This is marked by the growing number of new competitors in the world of Resto and Cafe. The restaurant and cafe industry as one of the food and beverage supply sectors that can support national and regional economic development. In Depok, there are 170 restaurants and cafes operating. The purpose of this study was to find out how the results of the implementation of Marketing Strategy During the Covid19 Pandemic at Like No Other Cafe Depok. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Using interviews, questionnaires and observations to related parties as data collection techniques. Thus, the data analysis techniques used were VRIO and PESTLE analysis to analyze the business environment, profitability analysis to evaluate the results of the implementation of the marketing mix program used and descriptive analysis to analyze planning, implementation and marketing strategy activities. The results showed that the strategy implemented by Like No Other Cafe during the Covid19 pandemic was considered effective so that Like No Other Cafe was still able to survive and generate income even though the income was only 50% of normal conditions.

This research aims at investigating the main character's disobedience toward Sati tradition in Around the World in 80 Days: a Sociological Approach. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method so the researcher analyzes the data in this research through description. There are two main results of this research. First, the main character’s disobedience toward Sati tradition are (1) the main character’s disobedience in India Forest (being displeased with government authority, hope of reform); (2) the main character’s disobedience in Calcutta (law enforcement); (3) the main character’s disobedience in United States of America (injustice occur). Second, the moral values can be taken from the novel are divided into positive and negative values.

This research was conducted to analyze and describe the application of Sufistic culture to moral elevation in the formation of moral elevation of students at the Putra Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School in Jombang, East Java. The location of the study was carried out by the Islamic boarding school male Tebuireng Jombang. The research method used is a qualitative method using descriptive analysis and triangulation techniques. The research respondents consisted of 30 people aged 16-24 years. The results showed that the application of Sufistic culture to the moral elevation of male students and the formation of moral elevation in the world of pesantren education needed a consistent process and support from all parties. namely the creed, sharia, and morals as a support for the occurrence of moral elevation.

This research is based on a theory in Historical Comparative Linguistics. This theory is also called a diachronic theory, which involves the analysis of the form and regularity of changes in common languages such as those accompanied by sound changes. The objects of the research are Teochew (TC), Hakka (HK), and Cantonese (CO) dialects used in Medan city. These three dialects are categorized into the Sino-Tibetan family. Sino-Tibetan (ST) as one of the largest language families in the world, with more first-language speakers than even Indo-Europeans, is having more than 1.1 billion speakers of Sinitic (the Chinese dialects) constitute the world's largest speech community. According to STEDT (Sino-Tibetan Etymological Dictionary and Thesaurus), Chinese is considered as a Sino-Tibetan language family. The research method used is the qualitative method. The data collection method and technique used to refer to the conversation method with the techniques of recording and writing. The data were analyzed using the qualitative method of glottochronology. The result of the research shows that TC, HK, and CO were related in terms of sound correspondences and were separated thousands of years ago. TC and HK were related and both corresponded identically one similar vowel, one similar consonant, and one different phoneme, and one similar syllable. TC and CO were related and both corresponded to one similar vowel, one similar vocalic cluster, one similar consonant, and one different phoneme, and one similar syllable. HK and CO were related and both corresponded identically, one similar vowel, one similar consonant, one different phoneme, one different vocalic cluster, and one similar syllable. From all the findings and discussion in this research, the writer has concluded that HK and CO are the closest dialects among the three compared dialects.

Hakkanese experienced several major migrations and ultimately distributed in every corner of the world. From the earlier period, the Hakkanese believed that someone should return to their origin until they settled down. Among much Chinese folklore, the most notable moment of the Hakanese was the transition between the old and the new, commonly called the Chinese New Year or Spring Festival custom. New Year custom roughly started from the beginning of the twelfth of the 23rd lunar month has been extended into the Lantern Festival. From the twelfth of the 23rd lunar month, it began to enter the Small Year festivals, and the Chinese were beginning to prepare series of activities which deals with throwing away the old while welcoming the new. Until New Year Eve, which was the culmination of the Year’s custom, the whole family gathered happily to meet the spring season. New Year activities would continue until the Lantern Festival. But for the Hakka people, the festive atmosphere and activities would continue until the 20th day of the first lunar month, which was called Tian Chuan Festival. After that, the New Year was ended completely. The research method applied was the qualitative method with observation and library research regarding Bangkanese Chinese festival. The observed population in this research is the Hakkanese community in Bangka. This article finds that the Chinese community in several regions in Indonesia still maintains and preserves the original form of the indigenous culture. It can be seen from the Lunar New Year tradition runs by the Hakkanese in Bangka. At the same time, it also reflects the vitality of folk culture and the values of its existence.

Many speakers around the world have their own way in pronouncing English words as International language. The unique way in pronouncing English words is called accent. This research aims at analyzing the deviances on segmental vowel quality and quantity made by the Russian speaker in The Way Back movie by Peter Weir regarding to English short and long vowels in Russian accent. The research method was descriptive qualitative method. The research data was collected from converted audio of The Way Back Movie by Peter Weir. The data was then trimmed, selected and extracted by Praat software analysis. The results show that the Russian speaker makes deviances in pronouncing English vowel quality and vowel quantity. The total amount of deviances is 169 deviances which are divided into three classifications; those are segmental vowel quality, combinatorial quality and segmental vowel quantity deviances. The deviance that is mostly made by the Russian speaker is segmental vowel quality deviance, whereas the deviance that is rarely made by the Russian speaker is combinatorial vowel quality.

Fashion industry in Indonesia is increasing from year to year and so does the competition between fashion brands. The Indonesian Creative industry players by 2020 to grow by 8.4 million and dominated by young adults.  With the many fashion brands that emerge, a brand needs more value propositions to make their product stand out and marketable. This journal will present how graphic motif on textile can be used by fashion brands as their product’s value proposition and convert it into marketable products. In the era of information technology-based 4.0, all fields use information technology, as well as in the world of education. In learning, the use and use of information technology is very important in supporting the smooth teaching and learning process. So that the ability of teachers in information technology literacy is very important and needs to be developed. This study aims to describe the level of information technology literacy of mathematics teachers in private vocational schools in South Jakarta and identify the factors that influence it. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The research sample was 41 mathematics teachers at private vocational schools in South Jakarta, who were taken by purposive sampling technique. Information techniques through questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the level of information technology literacy for mathematics teachers in private vocational schools in South Jakarta was still low. One of the factors affecting literacy is the lack of training in the use of information.
