Today, the world has become a digital platform where technology has become an important part of day-to-day life. The world is growing at a rapid pace where there is a new innovation every other day. As days are passing, every aspect of life has become online. Companies have also identified the scope and opportunity of digital marketing. This chapter discusses how cryptocurrency is a challenge for digital marketing. This study is an exploratory study that involves secondary data collection. The objective of the research is to identify the influence of cryptocurrency on digital marketing. The findings of the study suggest that digital marketing is a data-driven marketing technique, and cryptocurrency is a payment mode that hides data; thus, the popularity of cryptocurrency as a mode of payment is a challenge for digital marketing.

In recent years, destination management organisations have invested heavily in digital marketing, with online advertising accounting for over half of the total budget. This chapter aims to understand how tourism marketing has been adopted by Portugal's national tourism administration and the role of digital marketing in the country's tourism strategy. The country has been awarded as the best destination in the world (2017 to 2019) and Europe's leading destination (2017 to 2020) and has registered a significant evolution of the tourism sector. Turismo de Portugal is responsible for the country's tourism strategy and the international promotion of the destination, having been awarded as the best official tourism body in the world (2017 to 2019). This chapter combines secondary data (statistics and policy documents) and data from an interview with the Director of the Sales Support Direction of Turismo de Portugal. The results show a change in its communication strategy, being currently performed exclusively online, accompanying the consumer during all stages of the travel cycle.

Due to the severe impact of COVID-19 on public health, rollout of the vaccines must be large-scale. Current solutions are not intended to promote an active collaboration between communities and public health researchers. We aimed to develop a digital platform for communication between scientists and the general population, and to use it for an exploratory study on factors associated with vaccination readiness. The digital platform was developed in Latvia and was equipped with dynamic consent management. During a period of six weeks 467 participants were enrolled in the population-based cross-sectional exploratory study using this platform. We assessed demographics, COVID-19-related behavioral and personal factors, and reasons for vaccination. Logistic regression models adjusted for the level of education, anxiety, factors affecting the motivation to vaccinate, and risk of infection/severe disease were built to investigate their association with vaccination readiness. In the fully adjusted multiple logistic regression model, factors associated with vaccination readiness were anxiety (odds ratio, OR = 3.09 [95% confidence interval 1.88; 5.09]), feelings of social responsibility (OR = 1.61 [1.16; 2.22]), and trust in pharmaceutical companies (OR = 1.53 [1.03; 2.27]). The assessment of a large number of participants in a six-week period show the potential of a digital platform to create a data-driven dialogue on vaccination readiness.

Abstract   The presence of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought changes to the world with various challenges that were never imagined before. In Indonesia, COVID-19 has infected more than 3.8 million people since the first case was announced in March 2020, however, efforts to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus have hampered economic activity and its impact on the level of social welfare is increasingly felt by the community. As this research is very interesting, namely with the spirit of cooperation as a form of Pancasila and increased solidarity in society during the COVID-19 pandemic, philanthropy has a major role in complementing the presence of government programs. As done by the Kitabisa.com website, it has played a role in dealing with Covid-19 in Indonesia. This research is a research with qualitative method. Researchers also utilize secondary data sources or data obtained from graphic documents (tables, notes, minutes, meetings, etc.), photographs, films, video recordings, objects, and others. The results of this research From its inception until 2019, during that time we can record that we have collected donations of up to IDR 502,375,254,938 from a total of 18,402 social campaigns and presented 1,352,169 digital philanthropists. In a short period and is expected to increase every year. On 27 June 2019, the Kitabisa.com platform has raised Rp700 billion in funds, since it was founded in 201. In the role of dealing with COVID-19, we can collaborate with various institutions, one of which is Gusdurian cares, and has the #OrangBaik Movement, #IndonesiaLawanCovid-19.   Keywords: Covid-19 Pandemic, Mutual Cooperation, Philanthropy, Kitabisa.com     Abstrak   Hadirnya pandemi COVID-19 telah membawa perubahan terhadap dunia dengan berbagai tantangan yang tidak pernah terbayangkan sebelumnya. Di Indonesia, COVID-19 telah menjangkiti lebih dari 3,8 juta orang sejak kasus pertama diumumkan pada bulan Maret 2020, namun, upaya untuk menghambat penyebaran virus COVID-19 telah menghambat kegiatan perekonomian dan dampaknya terhadap tingkat kesejahteraan sosial semakin dirasakan masyarakat. Sebagaimana penelitian ini sangat menarik yakni dengan semangat gotong-royong sebagai wujud Pancasila dan solidaritas yang meningkat di masyarakat pada masa pandemi COVID-19, filantropi memiliki peran besar dalam melengkapi kehadiran program pemerintah. Sebagaimana yang dilakukan oleh Website Kitabisa.com turut berperan dalam menghadapi Covid-19 di Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan metode kualitatif. Peneliti juga memanfaatkan sumber data sekunder atau data yang didapatkan dari dokumen-dokumen grafis (tabel, catatan, notulen, rapat, dll),foto-foto, film, rekaman video, benda-benda, dan lain-lain. Hasil penelitian ini Dari awal berdirinya sampai 2019, dalam kurun waktu tersebut kitabisa tercatat telah mengumpulkan dana donasi hingga Rp 502.375.254.938 dari total kampanye social sebanyak 18.402 serta menghadirkan 1.352.169 filantropis digital. Dalam kurun waktu yang singkat dan dipekirakan akan semakin meningkat setiap tahunnya.  Pada 27 Juni 2019, Platform Kitabisa.com sudah mengumpulkan dana Rp700 miliar, sejak didirikan pada 201. The purpose of this study is describe feminism and the resilience of women in the world of work in Indonesia and Iceland. Feminism as a system of ideas, as a framework and study of social life and human experience that evolved from a women-centered perspective. In Indonesia and Iceland, this is a long history as a reflection of the responsibility regarding the reality of gender inequality. In this study researchers used a research method with the type of literature study. Data collection techniques that utilize secondary data obtained through the library and then described and analyzed to extract from the literature such as books, journals, report, documents and other materials that support this research. Based on the results and discussion that has been presented, it can be concluded that feminism is increasingly developing and being recognized by the world. Feminism and the resilience of women in these two countries have shown that women have great opportunities in the development of the world of work, politics and other fields. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan feminisme dan ketahanan perempuan dalam dunia kerja di Indonesia dan Islandia. Feminisme sebagai sistem gagasan,   sebagai kerangka kerja dan studi kehidupan sosial dan pengalaman manusia yang berevolusi dari perpsektif yang berpusat pada perempuan. Di Indonesia dan Islandia, hal ini adalah sejarah panjang sebagai cerminan dari tanggung jawab tentang realitas ketidaksetaraan gender. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian dengan jenis kajian kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik penelitian kepustakaan yang memanfaatkan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui perpustakaan kemudian di deskripsikan dan dianalisis untuk disarikan dari literatur seperti buku, jurnal, laporan, dokumen dan bahan lain yang mendukung penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan yang telah dipaparkan dapat disimpulkan bahwa feminisme semakin lama semakin berkembang dan diakui oleh dunia. Feminisme dan ketahanan perempuan di dua negara ini sudah menunjukkan bahwa kaum perempuan memiliki peluang besar dalam perkembangan dunia kerja, politik dan bidang lainnya.

This poster summarizes the findings of a qualitative, exploratory study on Afghan youth’s information seeking, sharing and use regarding religion. Data collection included interviews and participant observation. Findings included the key role of technology, the iKoran and social networking sites in particular, in facilitating information seeking and sharing on Islam.Cette affiche résume les résultats d’une étude qualitative exploratoire auprès des jeunes femmes afghanes sur leurs pratiques de recherche, de partage et d’utilisation de l’information concernant la religion. Les données recueillies proviennent d’entrevues et d’observation des participantes. Les résultats démontrent le rôle clé de la technologie, iKoran et les sites de réseautage social en particulier, et facilite la recherche et le partage d’information sur l’Islam.

Penetration of information technology (IT) in almost every sector of the Indian economy is occurring at a very rapid pace. This has brought about a great transformation from a paper world to a digital world. Employees face new technological changes in their workplace almost every day. Some employees welcome the changes brought about by technology while others resist it and become defensive. These differences in employees’ reactions are influenced by a host of moderating variables existing in the environment. For the purpose of the present study, the researchers have adopted three moderating variables, namely, age, gender and experience (from the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology [UTUAT] model of Venkatesh, Morris, Davis, and Davis (2003, MIS Quarterly, 27, 3, 425–478). Hence, the article attempts to study the influence of the aforementioned moderating variables on the employees’ acceptance of IT at their workplace. The study has been conducted in the post offices falling under the Nalbari-Barpeta division of the Assam postal circle. The study is based on both the primary and secondary data.

Purpose More than ever before, people from around the world are migrating away from their country of birth. Yet citizens of host countries do not always welcome these immigrants – instead, citizens sometimes express prejudice toward them. The purpose of this paper is to examine the factors that influence attitudes toward immigrants cross-nationally. Design/methodology/approach Secondary data from the International Social Survey Programme, which includes data from 30 countries across two time points, were analyzed. Findings Findings indicate that people with higher level of education tend to have more favorable attitudes toward immigrants, while those with more politically conservative leanings and those with a greater sense of national identity tend to hold more prejudicial attitudes toward immigrants. At the country/regional level, education is consistent in its relationship with more favorable attitudes. However, political conservatism is less consistent in predicting prejudice – the relationship is strong in western democracies, but is largely negligible in other parts of the world. Originality/value The present analyses carry implications for improving anti-immigrant prejudice throughout the world.

Adanya fenomena disrupsi digital menyebabkan praktik passing off tidak hanya ditemukan dalam pasar konvensional namun juga dalam perdagangan elektronik, yaitu pada bentuk digital platform marketplace. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk, pertama, mendapatkan pemahaman mengenai pelindungan hukum merek terkenal terhadap passing off atas merek terkenal pada digital platform marketplace di Indonesia. Kedua, mendapatkan pemahaman mengenai tindakan hukum yang dapat dilakukan pemilik merek terkenal terhadap pedagang dan penyedia digital platform marketplace terhadap passing off pada digital platform marketplace. Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif-analitis yang menggunakan pendekatan yuridis-normatif serta menganalisis data dengan metode normatif-kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu studi kepustakaan dengan mengakaji data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan Undang-Undang No. 20 Tahun 2016 tentang MIG dan Undang-Undang-Undang No. 19 Tahun 2016 tentang Perubahan Atas Undang-Undang No. 11 Tahun 2008 tentang ITE, pemilik merek terkenal memiliki pelindungan hukum atas praktik passing off yang dilakukan dalam digital platform marketplace dan dapat melakukan tindakan-tindakan seperti mengajukan gugatan ganti rugi dengan memohon ganti rugi baik materil maupun immateril serta dapat mengajukan gugatan kepada Pengadilan Niaga sebagai bentuk ultimatum remedium. Namun untuk mendapatkan pelindungan lebih komprehensif pemilik merek terkenal haruslah mendaftarkan mereknya terlebih dahulu dan juga sebelum mengajukan gugatan dapat melakukan pengaduan kepada masing-masing digital platform marketplace. The phenomenon of digital disruption causes the practice of passing off not only found in conventional markets but also in electronic commerce, which is a digital platform marketplace. This research aims to, first gain an understanding of the legal protection of well-known marks against passing off on the digital platform marketplace in Indonesia and second, gains an understanding of legal actions that can be done by well-known marks owners towards traders and digital platform marketplace providers towards passing off on the digital platform marketplace. This research is in the form of descriptive-analytical using a juridical-normative approach and analyzing data with normative-qualitative methods. The data collection technique used is library research by assessing secondary data. The results showed that based on Law No. 20 of 2016 on Marks and GI and Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law No. 11 of 2008 on EIT, it said that the owner of well-known marks has legal protection for the practice of passing off carried out in the digital platform marketplace and can take actions such as filing a claim for compensation by requesting compensation both material and immaterial and can file a lawsuit to the Commercial Court as a form of ultimatum remedium. In order to have full protection, the owner of the well-known mark must register the trademark first and also before filing a lawsuit can make a complaint to each digital platform marketplace.

Digital marketing intends to influence consumers’ desire, cognition, feelings, belief, attitude and image concerning products and brands which has the ultimate goal to influence consumers’ purchase behaviour.  Digital marketing has been widely used to promote tourism around the world, including Sanur Village Festival in Bali.  Sanur Village Festival is one of the famous events in Bali which has been held annually since year 2005 in order to recover image and reputation of Bali as a peaceful destination after terrorism attacks.  Research was designed to examine the role of digital marketing in visitors’ behavioural intention in visiting Sanur Village Festival 2015.  Research was undertaken in the area of Sanur Village Festival (SVF) on 26 - 30 August 2015.  The number of respondents was 207 visitors. Data was analysed by using SmartPLS program.The results show that among four indicators, only indicator of event advertisement significantly influences visitors’ intention in visiting SVF with Alpha Cronbach coefficient is 0.59 (≥ 0.6) and  correlation coefficient is 0.369 (≥ 0.3).  Meanwhile, three other indicators, namely source of event’s information, accompany to visit, and event’s arrangement is not significant to influence visitors’ intention to visit SVF.  Among types of advertisement, the results show that the highest percentage of advertisement’s type which affected the visitors’ intention to visit SVF is the use of digital advertisement, namely television (41.2%), internet (32.7%), and broadcast (13.4%).  However, non-digital advertisement has less influence, namely printed media (4.8%), banner (4.5%) and brochure (3.4%).  Understanding development of preferred weblogs and portals by internet users is very important to be able to get more success in gaining specific target market, as people are getting more internets oriented.  The results indicate that successful promotional strategy in the information and technological era should be focused on digital marketing with a clear focus on efficiency, sustainability and experiences enrichment.  However, it cannot be denied that other factors such as attitudes toward behaviour and perceived behaviour control are also defining factors in influencing consumers’ purchase behaviour which is also need to be focused on.
