This chapter reviews the literature on using movies/films for teaching public administration. Such a review is necessary due to the changing demographics of both the student body and the instructors, which necessitates the use of new pedagogical methods and the ubiquitous accessibility of the teaching materials via mobile computers on the internet. To this end, the chapter first reviews the literature then provides a few detailed specific examples of using movies/movie clips for instructional purposes in teaching public administration. Then, a general list of movies that can be used in public administration teaching is provided with a reference to the concepts that can be showcased by these films. Third, limitations of the existing literature on teaching public administration with movies are presented. And finally, areas for further research are discussed.

The article examines the development trends of modern networks of political communication, the growing influence of social networks on the Internet on the civic engagement of citizens. At thesame time, the role of various blogs in expanding citizen participation in public administration is scientifically analyzed.The analysis ofsocial networks, blogs and various media resources used on the Internet as a platform and tool for civic initiatives and activity in society is carried out. The article also discusses modern methods and techniques for using political communications to increase civic engagement.

In this article we focus on identifying the specificity of digital transformation within the public sector. The aim of the article is to present the main mechanisms resulting from the introduction of digital innovations that have changed the functioning of the public sector. Starting from a discussion on the technological requirements of digital transformation, we briefly characterise the use of computers and the Internet in public administration, resulting in the development of e-services and administration. The main part of the article is devoted to discussing the specificity of the implementation of the new digital technologies in public administration, focusing mainly on artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies. Our thesis is that the impact of innovative digital technologies on the operation standards and structure of public administration should be analysed through the prism of interrelated mechanisms of datafication and platformisation, characteristic for the digital economy. The adopted methodology, which is based on an analysis of the subject literature and an analysis of new technology implementations in public administration in EU countries, indicates the pilot, random and non-transformational nature of these implementations, partly due to the lack of well-established methodologies to study and assess the maturity of digital transformation within the public sector.

E-commerce and internet businesses are driving the rapid growth of the domestic IT-ITeS industry, attracting unprecedented global interest and funding. Increasing penetration of the internet, adoption of smartphones and minimal effort low-cost mobile devices, changing demographics, mobile-empowered youth, and the emergence of tier 2 and tier 3 cities as major shopping hubs have been driving the growth of the industry, with new retail forces shifting its dynamics. Furthermore, the continued growth of large pure-play organisations that are powerhouses has moved retailers' focus to the web channel. These companies are not only becoming gateways to product research, but have also introduced consumers to new ways of viewing the retail process.

Along with the advancement of science and technology, all teachers especially primary school teachers areexpected to have the ability in the field of information and communication technology (ICT). So that teacherscan teach using ICT-based learning media. By using multimedia learning model, teachers will be able to doteaching more interactive, fun, and motivate learners to be more active. The goal of this program is toimprove the ability and competence of teachers in Elementary School (SD) Imbas in Kintamani Village areasin creating multimedia-based ICT learning media. In this community service activities, it is given counselingand training about the introduction of the Internet and the development of multimedia-based ICT learningmedia using Microsoft PowerPoint, create teaching materials in PDF format, create teaching materials inimage display (JPEG) and apply teaching materials in activities learning in the class. The purpose of this activity is the participants understand of the importance in using ICT for supporting learning and teachingactivities multimedia-based learning media. Participants also understand of how to create learning materialsin PowerPoints format, create files in the form of .pdf, and generate. JPG files. Teachers will also be trainedon how to enrich multimedia-based learning materials using internet access.

The World Wide Web is used by millions of people everyday for various purposes including email, reading news, downloading music, online shopping or simply accessing information about anything. Using a standard web browser, the user can access information stored on Web servers situated anywhere on the globe. This gives the illusion that all this information is situated locally on the user’s computer. In reality, the Web represents a huge distributed system that appears as a single resource to the user available at the click of a button. This paper gives an overview of distributed systems in current IT sector. Distributed systems are everywhere. The internet enable users throughout the world to access its services wherever they may be located [1]. Each organization manages an intranet, which provides local services for local users and generally provides services to other users in the internet. Small distributed systems can be constructed from mobile computers and other small computational devices that are attached to a wireless network.

There is no doubt that one of the most obvious and far-reaching derivations of the Internet and global interconnection through the network is the enormous volume of information to which we have access. It is in this context that the so-called "Big Data" appears, exposing us to great changes in the different areas of our lives, proposing scenarios that point to open governments, transparency and greater closeness to citizens. However, there are many challenges that this new reality poses on Public Administration and there appears not to be unique strategies or models for its implementation. The aim of this work is to review some of the most important concepts that are involved in this era of Big Data in the public sector.

Institutions of higher learning in the United States are facing challenges associated with changing demographics. Latino students are making up an increasing portion of the incoming student body than previously.  The unique cultural characteristics of Latino students will require adaptations to the teaching techniques typically used in American business schools.  The unique environment in business schools provides opportunities and challenges for Latino students and their instructors.  We use Hofstede’s cultural classifications in order to map the characteristics of Latino students and suggest six business teaching suggestions designed to increase the learning outcomes for the Latino students.

Virtual Reading Room (RBV) and Digital Learning Materials (BA Digital) are forms of learning service provided by Universitas Terbuka (UT). RBV and BA digital are digitizations of the Main Material Book (BMP) developed to help students read modules through the internet network. The existence of RBV and BA digital is expected to assist the students learning process, independently, even for students living in  remote area. This study describes the benefits, as well as the limitations of RBV and BA digital according to students perspective from 17 regional office (UPBJJ-UT) in Indonesia and overseas. This study is written using quantitative descriptive approach. The findings shows that  99% of respondents are aware of the existence of RBV and BA digital. Half of the respondents are aware of these two digital teaching materials from UT's website. The 53% respondents studied RBV and BA digital for less than 30 minutes, and more than sixty percent of the respondents accessed and used it during the tutorials.   Ruang Baca Virtual (RBV) dan BA digital merupakan salah satu bentuk layanan belajar yang disediakan oleh Universitas Terbuka (UT). RBV dan BA digital merupakan digitalisasi dari Buku Materi Pokok (BMP) yang dikembangkan untuk membantu mahasiswa membaca modul melalui jaringan internet. Dengan adanya RBV dan BA digital diharapkan dapat membantu proses pembelajaran secara mandiri dan jarak jauh bagi mahasiswa UT. Artikel ini akan memaparkan tentang manfaat RBV dan BA digital dalam perspektif mahasiswa pada 17 UPBJJ-UT (Indonesia dan Luar Negri), sehingga dapat diketahui kelebihan dan kelemahannya. Artikel ini ditulis berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan data yang yang diperoleh diketahui bahwa 99% responden telah mengetahui adanya RBV dan BA digital. Setengah dari jumlah responden mengetahui kedua bahan ajar digital tersebut dari laman website UT. Sebanyak 53% responden mempelajari RBV dan BA digital selama kurang dari 30 menit, dan lebih dari 60 persen responden mengaksesnya saat tutorial.
