The approach to studying the structure of economy is determined by the nature of the national economy as a system. Identification of the economic system development mechanism will help identify the opportunities to influence its structure. It was found out that on the basis of the study of the mechanism of maintaining the integrity of the system in its development it becomes possible to achieve the most effective application of the systematic approach using conceptual studies of functioning of economic systems in the basic areas of economic theoretical studies. Based on the dynamic aspects of systems concept, it is proposed to focus the study of the problems of the economic structure development on the mechanism of structural shifts.

This introduction outlines how the idea of a national economy subject to governmental management was constructed in Britain out of the dissolution of the unmanaged economy of the pre-1914 era. It argues that a key turning point came in 1931 with the departure from the gold standard and the introduction of protection. But, it is argued, it was only from the 1940s that national economic management was combined with ‘managing the people’, through major efforts to shape public opinion on the economy. This chapter also summarizes the development of the major kinds of economic statistics which underpinned both facets of economic management.

The article substantiates the problem of forming baby economy as a factor of national economic development in the global environment. The main baby economy evolution directions as a component of the nanoeconomic system are formulated in the course of research. In addition, Ukraine’s baby economy subsystem, particularly the practice of growing up, socialization and relationship process, is analysed. It has been revealed how little people in this country can influence the course of economic development. The factor analysis is conducted on baby economy factors’ impact on GDP per capita which determines that our GDP manufacturing does not actively depend on the performance of baby economy. This dependence is 0.57. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce the levers of deploying baby economy processes in Ukraine’s economic environment. Furthermore, it has been estimated that the number of people with higher education is gradually increasing as well as the number of foreign students that results in attractiveness of Ukraine’s higher education. As a result of research, the conclusions are based on the necessity of updating baby economy and the beginning of the national economic system development, taking into account the formation of common approaches to education and upbringing. World experience shows that if the economic behaviour of a child is developed by the appropriate education, the level of national economy adaptation to the global environment becomes a decisive issue.

Introduction. The article examines the asymmetry of the development of the economic structure of Russian regions. It is caused by unevenness, multidirection, differences in qualitative and quantitative characteristics, and a temporary dichotomy of structural shifts in terms of the spatial structure of the country’s economy. Theoretical analysis. The author considers the concepts of symmetry and asymmetry of the economic structure of the region, as well as structural shifts in the regional economy. Various approaches of the asymmetry of the territorial economic structure measuring are studied, in particular, the method of deviation from standard parameters and the balance method. A comparative analysis of the asymmetry of the economic structure of Saratov and Samara regions is carried out. The author notes the development of the automobile industry in Samara and the electric power industry in the Saratov region that goes beyond symmetry. At the same time, these imbalances can have a positive impact, complementing each other in the process of cooperation of regional economic structures. Results. From the point of view of the theory of comparative advantages, it is concluded that asymmetric structural shifts within regions can lead to an increase in structural symmetry in interregional economic systems. At the same time, there is a synergetic interaction of the structure of the economy of different regions, which leads to an increase in productivity and efficiency of the national economy as a whole.

The Chinese people are entering the eighth decade of the 20th century full of confidence and with a firm belief that they are moving towards the goal of modernization. In 1979, as the first of the battles for the realization of this goal, China put into practice the policy of “ readjustment, reform, rectification and improvement ” of the national economy. “ Readjustment ” means essentially changing the national economic structure and eliminating serious imbalance of ratios in order to remove obstacles to the further development of the national economy. “ Reform ” means chiefly reform of the economic system.

Political democracy should be equivalent to the economic development of the quality of democracy, economic democracy if not upright, even the owner of the ruling power and money, which is parallel to force global corporatocracy. Consequently, the economic oligarchy preservation reinforces control of production and distribution from upstream to downstream and power monopoly of the market. The implication, increasingly sharp economic disparities, exclusive owner of the money and power become fertile, and the end could jeopardize the harmony of the national economy. The loss of national economic identity that makes people feel lost the “pilot of the state”. What happens then is the autopilot state. Viewing unclear direction of the economy, the national economy should clarify the true figure.

Situation and value of the African continent on the economic and social cardmap of the world dynamically changes and will continue to change throughout all the 21st century with strengthening of the Africa positions in the world. In Russia all the complex of threats and problems which arise owing to political and economic transformation of Africa is not adequately estimated. The scientific literature on economic security issues presents an expanded set of internal and external threats to the national economy that goes beyond the traditional areas of the shadow economy, corruption, economic crime and related segments, including the internal economic stability of the national economy and inter-country competition, the quality of state strategic management, studies of the specifics of ensuring economic security in the conditions of the sixth technological order, intercultural communication and their impact on the economic relations between countries, etc. Incomplete use of such approach to strategy for the countries of Africa creates additional threats and risks for Russia. An analysis of security problems in Africa revealed that studies of economic security in the context of African development trends in Russia are conducted in an unsatisfactory volume, not always taking into account the results of new developments in the field of ensuring economic security. Even the large shifts happening on the African continent, forecasts of this dynamics sometimes are poorly known to experts of a profile of economic security, and many experts of an economic profile including working in the African subject often do not accurately distinguish problems of “economic cooperation” and “the Russian – African relations”, on the one hand, and “economic security of Russia” – with another. In this regard the new scientific problem is proved: need for deeper analysis of trends of economic and social development in Africa as an important component of a system of ensuring national economic security of Russia in the current period and in the future into account the new developments in the sphere of economic security. The main directions of activating scientific research and concentration of practical efforts to increase national economic security, neutralize threats and reduce risk for Russia in the designated context are formulated.

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia is attacking not only public health but also the economy. The presence of Covid-19 has many important impacts on developed countries. There are at least four industries most impacted by this pandemic, including households, MSMEs, companies and the financial industry. However, the halal industry is believed to be more resilient to the Covid-19 pandemic. This durability is because of the principles attributed to the halal sector, namely the importance of fairness, balance and openness. The author’s goal is therefore to carry out more in-depth research on the role of the halal industry in supporting the national economy, which is under pressure because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of study is a literature review with a material analysis approach that explores the conditions of the halal industry in Indonesia in depth. The material received is as books, published information, and online news. The findings of this study reveal that there are three halal business sectors that are believed to be more vulnerable to the Covid-19 pandemic in order to facilitate national economic recovery. Halal finance, halal food and halal fashion industries are among them. Halal finance from both the banking sector and the Islamic stock market has proved to be more robust than the mainstream financial sector. Besides guaranteed halal food, its wellbeing is also guaranteed, and halal fashion is now on the rise as Muslim fashion is increasingly innovative and global. We believe the three of them to have experienced vigorous growth, and also to continue to draw customers. And also after the Covid-19 pandemic, these three sectors could survive. Thus the halal industry also contributes to Indonesian economy.
