In drilling deep holes with small-diameter tools in particular, chip shape is a major problem along with tool rigidity. In this study, we developed a spindle machine that has regularly repeating acceleration and deceleration regions in each drill rotation (called modulated rotation) as a new drilling spidle machine that can improve chip discharge ability. For an analysis of the cutting mechanism based on the basic principles of this device and its drilling characteristics, holes were drilled in CFRP, and Ti alloy (Ti-6A1-4V) materials using a straight shank drill. The relationship between the torque and thrust of cutting resistance force was obtained to show the relationship between cutting chips shape and cutting force. The characteristics of drilling with the developed spindle device were evaluated in comparison with regular drilling methods. It was found that the torque with this device was reduced by about 10% compared with general drilling. Outstanding chip breakup was seen with Titanium alloys in particular, as a result of which chip discharge could be improved.

The textiles capable of cutting resistance found applications in the industrial and military areas to construct flexible lightweight soft body armors. In the present work, a theoretical model to understand the mechanism of fabric cut resistance in a different direction for weft-knitted, triaxial, and multiple layers structures. An experimental study of cutting resistance force was done on weft-knitted fabric with Kevlar 29 triaxial fabrics in multiple layers structure to support derived mathematical model for the effect of multiple layers structure on their cutting force. The study examines specific cut resistance of the structure from four layers of Kevlar triaxial fabrics covered with knitted fabric on both sides. The angle of cutting force varied from 0°, 60°, and 90° with respect to the yarn inclination. Results show that the cutting force of the multilayer structure is linearly proportional to the number of Kevlar triaxial fabrics layers. The specific cut resistance value of the structure from four layers of Kevlar triaxial fabrics, covered with knitted fabric on both sides, reached 544, 435, and 326 (N/g/cm2) for cutting directions: angled 60°, vertical, and horizontal, respectively. In this work, the comparison between the triaxial fabric of high areal density and multiple layers of triaxial fabric with resultant same areal density indicates that a better specific cutting force was achieved in the first case. Furthermore, it investigated the relationship between triaxial surface density, the direction of cutting, and the number of triaxial fabric layers and discussed the optimum specific properties of the different structures.

In recent decades, attention has been focused on the design of protective soft fabrics against cutting. The anticipated textiles should shield the wearer's body from threats caused by pointed or sharp-edged objects, such as a knife, sharp blade, or spike. Therefore, as it is of great importance to design slash-resistant fabrics, it is also necessary to have an apparatus that gives the possibility to simulate the conditions of cutting processes of the protective fabric. The main objective of the present work is to develop a new apparatus to test the slash-proof materials used in soft protective armor or gloves. The apparatus can test the material with different cutting angles, different speeds, and various normal forces applied to the sample at the point of contact between the material and the cutting blade, with the capability to change all the parameters affecting the cutting force. This study aims to develop a cutting apparatus to study the cutting mechanism of textile materials with the capability to change all the parameters affecting the cutting force. The cutting angle and cutting speed have a significant effect on the maximum cutting force; however, the latter showed a high decrease of the maximum cutting force.

ABSTRACTRevolutionary struggle in order to compete for the independence of Indonesia has been a source of inspiration Indonesian artists, including Bambang Soelarto who wrote drama Domba-domba Re- volusi (DDR). DDR studied drama is quite interesting because it tries to criticize the freedom fight- ers. This study aims to: first to know the theme and the problem plays DDR; second to determine the relationship of the socio - historical struggle in 1948 with the sociological elements of drama DDR themes and issues. This study uses sociological theory of art. The basic principles of the sociology of art is the fact that the creation of works of art influenced by the historical social conditions where the work was created. Research using content analysis of Krippendorf, the methods used to examine the symbolic phenomena with the aim to explore and express the observed phenomenon which is the content, meaning, and an essential element of the literary work. Based results of this research is that Bambang Soelarto as the author tries to capture di?erence between fighters during the struggle for the political aspirations for 1948 are expressed in a work of drama. Historical events inspired the creation of drama DDR. Soelarto want to respond to the political aspirations of the di?erence between historical figures and wanted to provide an assessment and outlook through DDR.Keywords: themes, drama, sociology of art, social historical ABSTRAKRevolusi perjuangan dalam rangka memperebutkan kemerdekaan Indonesia telah men- jadi sumber inspirasi para seniman Indonesia, termasuk Bambang Soelarto yang menulis drama Domba-domba Revolusi (DDR). Peristiwa sejarah mengilhami penciptaan drama DDR. Soelarto ingin menanggapi aspirasi politik perbedaan antara tokoh-tokoh se- jarah dan ingin memberikan penilaian dan pandangan pandangannnya melalui DDR.Kata kunci: tema, drama, sosiologi seni, sosial historis

Abstract Planetary exploration rovers have required a high traveling performance to overcome obstacles such as loose soil and rocks. Push-pull locomotion rovers is a unique scheme, like an inchworm, and it has high traveling performance on loose soil. Push-pull locomotion uses the resistance force by keeping a locked-wheel related to the ground, whereas the conventional rotational traveling uses the shear force from loose soil. The locked-wheel is a key factor for traveling in the push-pull scheme. Understanding the sinking behavior and its resistance force is useful information for estimating the rover’s performance. Previous studies have reported the soil motion under the locked-wheel, the traction, and the traveling behavior of the rover. These studies were, however, limited to the investigation of the resistance force and amount of sinkage for the particular condition depending on the rover. Additionally, the locked-wheel sinks into the soil until it obtains the required force for supporting the other wheels’ motion. How the amount of sinkage and resistance forces are generated at different wheel sizes and mass of an individual wheel has remained unclear, and its estimation method hasn’t existed. This study, therefore, addresses the relationship between the sinkage and its resistance force, and we analyze and consider this relationship via the towing experiment and theoretical consideration. The results revealed that the sinkage reached a steady-state value and depended on the contact area and mass of each wheel, and the maximum resistance force also depends on this sinkage. Additionally, the estimation model did not capture the same trend as the experimental results when the wheel width changed, whereas, the model captured a relatively the same trend as the experimental result when the wheel mass and diameter changed.

As the siginificant factors influence passengers comfort, the vehicle celebration performance may easy to cause accidents, such as hard acceleration and deceleration performance. In order to find the relationship between passengers comfort and celebration performance, 35 passengers and three professional drivers were recruited in the field experiment. The passengers’ comfort feelings were analysed by subject questionnaires, the acceleration and deceleration data were received by CAN bus.The Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) model was elaborated to estimate and predict the passengers comfort level of driver unsafe acceleration behavior situations. Therefore, the subject views of the passengers could be compared to object acceleration data. An ANN is applied to interconnect output data (subjective rating) with input data (objective parameters). Finally, it is found the investigatioin have demonstrated that the objective values are efficiently correlated with the subjective sensation. Thus, the presented approach can be effectively applied to support the drive train development of bus.

The authors of this article investigate the possibility that the absence of pedagogical dialogues between educators and students can explain aspects of the incidence of crime, in particular acts of crime committed by young people. Based on this thesis and on basic principles of education, the relationship between language, communication and dialogue, as well as on the etiology and essential meaning, of the concept of „dialogue“, the authors demonstrate that education is fundamentally an act of dialogue. The acknowledgement of this ontological fact will not only promote acceptable relationships and behaviour among the youth, but will also assist educators and social workers in their venture against the wave of criminality which is threatening to overpower the world.
