In the current dynamic global market place, especially among small and medium scale manufacturing industries the competition is show rigorous for a profitable survival. To be competent the industries have to necessarily work in an efficient way by updating and implementing new techniques. These day’s manufacturers may have to introduce and prove the success of the products not only faster but also to deliver it to the end users at the right time. The aim of this study has been to present a lean approach in the manufacturing system of injection moulding facility by reducing the change over time. In this research a lean tool of Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) has proved to be an effective tool for eliminating waste of time. In SMED the time taken for mould or die exchange should be less than 10 minutes. This improves the productivity by reducing the down time of a machine. The main objective has been to reduce the change over time from the current setup time of 39.94 minutes to less than 10 minutes. After implementing the SMED, the total change over time was reduced by about 67.72% which indirectly reduced production losses and increased the productivity.

Economic Development of a country depends upon the individual development; Creation of more Employment opportunities is the right way to strengthen our Economy. By way of strengthening Small scale units, ultimately more people will get Employment. More over Small scale Industries required less amount of Capital. These are the main reasons to start the scheme MUDRA. The scheme MUDRA was launched in the year 2015 by Government of India. In India most of the people are depending upon small scale businesses as their source of livelihood. Most of the individuals depend on un-organised sectors for loans and other credit facilities which have high rate of interest along with unbearable terms and conditions. Ultimately it will lead these poor people to fall in debts. This paper is an attempt to educate the readers about MUDRA Yojana.

Every political system must secure compliance with its commands on the part of the ruled; the methods applied to achieve this vary from society to society and within societies over time. One way of gaining compliance is for political elites to establish the legitimacy of the political system, of their position within it, and of the commands that are issued. Political power can be said to be legitimate when, in the words of Sternberger, it is exercised both with a consciousness on the part of the elite that it has a right to govern and with some recognition by the ruled of that right. Both this consciousness of the right to govern and its acknowledgement by the ruled is derived from some source of authorization which may change over time. This paper will focus on the conscious attempts of Soviet political elites from the early sixties onwards to change their strategy of gaining compliance by reducing reliance on coercion and strengthening political legitimacy. It will draw attention to their efforts to develop a new source of authorization and to employ a new legitimation procedure. In developing the theoretical argument the Weberian typology of legitimate rule will be employed, and this approach to the topic will be contrasted with that adopted by T. H. Rigby in two recent publications.

Purpose of the study: The present paper attempts to trace the development of the weaving industry in Sualkuchi in the Kamrup district of Assam and tries to understand the organizational structure of the Sualkuchi weaving Industry. The paper also tries to identify the avenues of silk products and their marketing. Methodology: In the present research work, an exploratory research design has been adopted. For the primary data, the respondents were selected using purposive sampling and were administered with an interview schedule. Secondary data are collected from Government reports, books, journals and so on. Main Findings: The products produced are mainly used for commercial purposes only. As the handloom industry of Sualkuchi is not thoroughly organized and marketing agencies are diverse, the majority of the weavers rely on middlemen to sell their finished products. A sense of professionalism among the weavers and artisans, creation of facilities for easy and quick marketing of hand-woven products is necessary. The unusual sudden price rise in yarn brings untold misery to the industry in the area as production is against advance orders at a predetermined price. There is a need to innovate designs to capture the global market. Applications: This research work can be used by students, academicians, policymakers and also government agencies for the upliftment and development of small scale industries. Novelty/Originality: The study provides new insight into the problem which might help in formulating policies and programs for the development of this industry, which is technically not always possible. Sociological insights must be made to the existing program for development.

An awareness of the under-representation of women in top positions in the corporate world has prompted many corporations to review their policies and practices. If firms are to remain productive and competitive in an increasingly demanding global market place, they must recruit, retain, develop, and promote their most talented people, regardless of their sex. This is increasingly seen not only as the right or ethical thing to do, but also the smart thing to do. And in keeping with this realization, a small number of leading edge organizations are attempting to become more women-friendly. Having women in key positions is argued to be associated with long term company success and competitive advantage adding value through women's distinctive set of skills and creating cultures of inclusion through a diverse workforce. This chapter tries to evaluate the gender equality policies in selected Indian hotels and finds a mixed picture. The analysis suggests that majority of the hotels are not yet adopting pro- active policies to encourage the representation or empowerment of women in hotels. Female employees tend to be concentrated at entry or operational level and their presence is lower at senior positions. Based on the results study suggests the Indian Hotel industry to rework on HR policies to provide equal and equitable opportunities for female employees.

It seems crucial to research the transformative aspects of progressive grassroots movements in the face of the troubling turn to the right in elections in the United States and parts of Europe. This theme section considers “commoning” as one way to understand the emergence of social movements in Europe and the United States. The articles analyze different protests from housing movements, to anti-antiblack insurgency, redefinitions of the tax code, and the squares movement. The articles consider how movements around the urban commons change over time, differ from more traditional social movements, and address or emerge from the specifics of contemporary regimes. The aim is to develop a theoretical perspective on commoning, which will provide a framework for comparison across societies at this juncture.

Workforce is the valuable asset for any organization in achieving organizational goals. In today’s era of globalization and technological innovation no organization can survive without effective HRM practices that recruit, select, train and retain the workforce of the organization. One of the important HR functions that decide the future of the organization is recruitment. In current scenario there is need to bring the change in old and traditional way of recruiting in small scale industries. Change is the part of any organization as it cannot disappear or dissipate. Managers and employees will be judged upon their abilities to manage the change effectively. The change or new ideology that can be introduced in recruitment is hiring the right person for the right job.Other factors that raises the organizational performance are remuneration. In this study researcher has used a structured questionnaire to collect the data. 211 respondents have responded to the questionnaire and SPSS (version22) is used for analysis work.

Test of Physical and chemical Properties  and Identification of Phenyl Ethyl Alcohol of Essential Oil Roses from Solvent ExtractionThe technology of extraction of roses oil currently is developed in small scale industries through distillation. However, this technology has many disadvantages. To overcome these obstacles, it is necessary to do research by using solvent extraction vapor (solvent extraction). This study was conducted to determine the type of solvent and the right ratio of solvent to obtain the highest "concrete" and "absolute" yields on the extraction of roses. The solvents chosen in this study were n-hexane, petroleum ether and ethanol with a ratio of 1: 3, 1: 4 and 1: 5 w / v. The 1: 5 w / v n-hexane solvent was the right solvent for extracting roses with the highest "concrete" and "absolute" yield levels for the perfume making of 0.85% and 0.07%. The main chemical component of rose essential oil detected by KGSM is phenyl ethyl alcohol with the highest phenyl ethyl alcohol content found in "absolute" of 1: 4 w / v n-hexane extraction of 6.53%.Keywords: Rose Flower, Essential Oil, Ekstraksi pelarutABSTRAK Teknologi ekstraksi minyak bunga mawar saat ini yang berkembang pada industri skala kecil yaitu penyulingan.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in little scale industry (SSI) It could be exactly what the part needs. Indeed, the legislature’s detailed move to change FDI here by moving the endorsement administration by maybe notwithstanding raising the business particular tops on remote value proprietorship could help India's prospects in the race to secure worldwide capital for its economy. India has allowed Foreign Direct Investment up to 100 percentages in many manufacturing industries which were designated as Small Scale Industries. Increased FDI inflows to a country can create several positive economic effects. Among others, FDI can affect labor and capital markets, trade patterns and economic growth. Indian SSI units would be eligible to raise foreign equity in accordance with caps governing the sectors in which they operate, thereby improving their access to technology and capital and assisting in the growth and modernization of the sector. For the past years big companies getting FDI is not difficult issue because of financial security, reach in global market and business experience but in SME/SSI it still very ease compared with big companies. But the same time SSIs sick units and startups are very low level in getting guidance for capital management like venture capital and attract the investments from the foreign countries. This study focused on the qualitative manner in SSIs capital management and problems related to attract the investments from the foreign countries .mainly make in India scheme gives more opportunities to small scale industries to equip their selves to global market through FDI. This study also analyze the make in India scheme’s investment on SSIs in India.
