BACKGROUND፡ Patients experience first-hand quality services from nurses who are directly responsible for their welbeing. However, patient dissatisfaction with nursing services remains a problem in most developing countries. Therefore, this study aims to explore patient satisfaction with nursing care services in an Indonesian hospital.METHOD: A qualitative study with a descriptive phenomenology method was employed. Also, in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 informants, and thematic analysis was adopted to analyze the data.RESULTS: The results of this study are described in the following themes and sub-themes: (1) hospital existence in public eyes: a) service commitment b) accessibility; (2) patients’ background: a) religious aspect, b) cultural influence on perceiving health and sickness.CONCLUSION: Hospital management needs to enhance the quality of nursing services through sustainable education programs and continuous training. These are important to improve nurses’ cognition and skills, and further to ensure patient satisfaction and hospital quality.

<p><em>Patient satisfaction is one of indicator to assess the quality of health services. Measurement of patient satisfaction with nursing services is needed as an evaluation material for nursing management to ensure and improve the quality of nursing services. Several instruments of patient satisfaction with nursing services have been developed. The purpose of this Literature Review is to identify instruments of patient satisfaction with nursing services. This literature review examines the results of development and psychometric testing research of patient satisfaction instruments through article search in PubMed and Google scholar databases with keywords : patient satisfaction, nursing care, instrument, development, tools, psychometric, validity and reliability. We reviewed 20 articles. There are 7 instruments for assessing patient satisfaction with nursing services, namely the questionnaire SERVQUAL, HCAHPS, RPSS, GNCS, NSNS, PSNCQQ and PPHEN. Patient satisfaction instruments consist of several dimensions including individual assessment, communication, staff response, technical competence, interpersonal competence, health education, facilities, hospital environment, comfort, information on return, collaboration and coordination when patients are discharged from the hospital. Based on this literature review it can be concluded that there are several instruments and dimensions that can be used to assess patient satisfaction. But, it is necessary the development of patient satisfaction instruments by involving the perspective of the service provider and incorporating the dimensions of caring as the essence of nursing services.</em></p><p> </p><p>Kepuasan pasien merupakan salah satu indikator untuk menilai kualitas pelayanan kesehatan. Pengukuran  kepuasan pasien terhadap pelayanan keperawatan diperlukan sebagai bahan evaluasi bagi manajemen keperawatan untuk menjamin dan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan. Beberapa instrumen kepuasan pasien terhadap pelayanan keperawatan telah dikembangkan. Tujuan Literature Review ini untuk mengidentifikasi instrumen kepuasan pasien terhadap pelayanan keperawatan. Literature review ini menelaah hasil penelitian pengembangan dan uji psikometrik instrumen kepuasan pasien melalui pencarian artikel di database PubMed dan Google scholar dengan kata kunci : patient satisfaction, nursing care, instrument, development, tool, psychometric, validity dan reliability. Kami melakukan review terhadap 20 artikel. Ada 7 instrumen penilaian kepuasan pasien terhadap pelayanan keperawatan yaitu kuesioner SERVQUAL, HCAHPS, RPSS, GNCS, NSNS, PSNCQQ dan PPHEN. Instrumen kepuasan pasien terdiri dari beberapa dimensi termasuk penilaian individu, komunikasi, tanggapan staf, kompetensi teknis, kompetensi interpersonal, pendidikan kesehatan, fasilitas, lingkungan rumah sakit, kenyamanan, informasi kepulangan, kolaborasi dan koordinasi ketika pasien keluar dari rumah sakit. Berdasarkan literature review ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk menilai kepuasan pasien terhadap terdapat beberapa instrumen dan dimensi yang dapat digunakan. Namun perlu pengembangan instrumen kepuasan pasien dengan melibatkan perspektif dari pemberi pelayanan dan memasukkan dimensi caring sebagai esensi dari pelayanan keperawatan.</p>

Patient satisfaction has become an integral part of the process of measuring the quality of the provided care. Patients’ satisfaction about healthcare services increases in institutions that provide healthy workplace environment for nurses.This quantitative study aims to measure the impact of nurse practice environment on patients’ satisfaction with the provided nursing care services. A cross-sectional design was conducted to survey 75 male and female nurses and 107 inpatients who were hospitalized at least one day and aged 17 years and older. Sample was selected from medical and surgical wards of two main teaching hospitals in AL-Najaf province, Iraq.The results show that 80% of the nurses work in poor practice environment. About 52% of the patients were partially satisfied with nursing care; whereas, about 47% of the patients were unsatisfied. A significant correlation was found between nurse practice environment and patients’ satisfaction p < .05; regression analysis shows that patients’ satisfaction can be predicted based on nurse-patient ratio. Conclusion: Enhancing the practice environment of nurses helps improving the quality of healthcare and achieving better level of patients’ satisfaction with nursing care services.  Keywords: Nurses workplace; patient satisfaction; practice environment; nursing care;

Introduction: Implementing a nursing round has a positive impact on patient satisfaction. This method increase patient-nurse interaction and improve the quality of nursing care and patient satisfaction. The aimed of this study to conduct a literature review discusses the effect of nursing rounds on patient satisfaction in nursing services to enhance application knowledge (evidence-based) and optimal implementation.Method: This study used a literature review design, review articles or journals searched in three electronic databases (Scopus, ScienceDirect, and ProQuest). The Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal tools and Webb (2019) were used to assess the quality and Prism checklist as a review guide. Journal articles prospecting using the PICOS framework with inclusion criteria, the population is hospitalized patient who receive nursing services at the hospital and nurses who apply the nursing round, nursing intervention rounds, the outcome is patient satisfaction with nursing services, in English with a publication year between 2011-2020. The results of the search obtained 10 studies that match the inclusion criteria to be reviewed. Data tabulation and narrative analysis were performed on the articles or journals found.Results:  The results of this study show that the nursing round has advantages that affect patient satisfaction, some of the advantages provided are the resolved patients problems, the patient's needs can be fulfilled, raise up a professional nursing community, the establishment of cooperation between health workers, and nurses able to carry out apropriate and precise nursing care model.Conclusion: The implementation of the nursing round influences in  improving the quality of nursing care through the application of theoretical concepts to evidence-based nursing practice.

Abstract: A service although can be counted satisfy to patient but the aplication do not according to the ethical code and atandart, it is not a quality service. It is, therefore very important the role of  nursing care is very important the affect the patient's satisfaction. The purpose of research know is to the relationship of quality nursing care to the level of satisfaction of hospitalized patients at the department of Irina A Prof Dr R D Kandou Manado. The study design is using observational analytic cross-sectional approach. The Population of the patients who cared at department of Irina A Prof Dr R D Kandou Manado with the average of 180 patients a month. Sixtyvive samples were used in this research . The data is processed by using univariate and bivariate chi square calculations. The results show the relationship of quality nursing care to inpatient satisfaction majority of good quality (58.5%) and poor (41.5%) and to the satisfaction of the majority of the patients were less satisfied (50.8%) and the satisfied (49.2%). As a Conclusion, there is a significant correlation between the quality of nursing care with the patient satisfaction and quality of serviceis assumed as good. As a suggestion the quality of nursing care services of hospital management should be further enhance which can support the profesionalism of the nurses, so the patient satisfaction archieved can be maximized. Keywords: nursing service, patient satisfaction.     Abstrak: Suatu pelayanan sekalipun di nilai dapat memuaskan pasien tetapi penyelenggaraannya tidak sesuai dengan kode etik dan standar bukanlah pelayanan yang bermutu. Oleh karena itu perawat sangat berperan penting dalan pelayanan keperawatan karena berpengaruh dengan kepuasan pasien. Tujuan penelitin mengetahui hubungan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan dengan tingkat kepuasan pasien rawat inap di Irina A RSUP Prof Dr R D Kandou Manado. Desain penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi seluruh pasien yang berada di ruang rawat inap Irina A RSUP Prof Dr R D Kandou Manado dengan rata-rata pasien per bulan sebanyak 180. Sampel penelitian 65 pasien. Data diolah secara univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan perhitungan chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan dengan tingkat kepuasan pasien rawat inap mayoritas kuaitas pelayanan keperawatan yang baik (58,5%) dan yang kurang baik (41,5%) dan untuk kepuasan mayoritas pasien kurang puas (50,8%) dan yang puas (49,2%). Kesimpulan terdapat hubungan  yang bermakna antara kualitas pelayanan keperawatan dengan tingkat kepuasan pasien dan kualitas pelayanannya sudah baik. Saran pihak manajemen rumah sakit hendaknya lebih meningkatkan lagi kualitas pelayanan keperawatan yang dapat menunjang profesionalitas seorang perawat sehingga tingkat kepuasan  pasien bisa maksimal. Kata Kunci: pelayanan keperawatan,  kepuasan pasien.

ABSTRACT Objective: To reveal the Comfort needs as perceived by hospitalized elders, using Kolcaba’s theory. Methods: Descriptive and qualitative study, with 11 elders hospitalized in a university hospital, aiming to identify their needs for Comfort. Results: Discourses were categorized in four thematic units: Physical, Environmental, Sociocultural, and Psychospiritual. In the Physical context, several subcategories were found, namely, Symptom Relief; Daily Life Activities; Hygiene and personal care; Diet; Sleep and rest. In the Environmental context, the Comfort was considered to be superior than in the elders’ home; in the Sociocultural one, family bonds were found to become more distant, triggering feelings of missing one’s family and isolation, in the Psychospiritual context, spirituality and religiosity stood out. Final considerations: The Comfort needs of the hospitalized elders enable one to reflect on nursing care, offering information to improve the quality of assistance and to attend to the real needs of the elderly.

Nursing services have a big role to play in improving and determining the quality of health care. caring is an important component in nursing and is at the core of nursing practice because it contains humanistic values, respects human freedom of choice, emphasizes on improving ability and self-reliance, increasing knowledge and respecting every human being. Nurses who have value and caring spirit will have work behaviors that are in accordance with the principles of ethics due to the care of nurses who view clients as humanistic beings so motivated to provide high quality nursing services. This study is a quantitative study with a design description of correlation with a cross sectional approach to view the relationship of individual characteristics and caring behavior of nurses as independent variables and patient satisfaction as variable dependent. The goal is to know the relationship of individual characteristics and behavior of caring nurses with the satisfaction of inpatients of Abdul Manap Jambi Hospital. Samples of patients treated in the first and VIP inpatient rooms, how to take samples by accidental sampling. Data processing with chi-square analysis. Based on the results of the study the characteristics of individuals are mostly: male gender respondents (56.7%), low education (83.3%), age over 46 years (56.7%), and work (61.7%). Caring behavior of nurses is mostly well behaved (73.3%) and 70% of patients are satisfied with the services provided in the inpatient room of RsUD Abdul Manap Kota Jambi. The results of bivariate analysis there is no relationship of individual characteristics with the satisfaction of inpatients and there is a relationship of caring behavior of nurses with the satisfaction of inpatients in Abdul Manap Hospital Jambi City (p value 0.018). The results of the study are expected to improve the quality of nursing services, especially in providing nursing care by taking into account caring aspects to improve the satisfaction of inpatients. For nurses in the inpatient room consistently and further improve caring application in providing nursing care to patients especially in the fulfillment of basic needs and health education in the inpatient room.

The lack of patient satisfaction is due to the increasing demands of the patient's needs, but this is not accompanied by improvements in nurses' actions. If the customer feels dissatisfied with a service provided, then that service can be ascertained to be ineffective and inefficient. This is especially important for public services. Providing services to the community as done by RSUD Dr. R. Koesma Tuban, needs to get attention, especially in the quality of services to suit the needs and expectations of the community. This study focuses on the quality of nursing services and the level of patient satisfaction in the Asoka Hospital Dr. R. Koesma Tuban. This study aims to determine the relationship between the quality of nursing services with the level of patient satisfaction in the Asoka Hospital Dr. R. Koesma Tuban. This study uses analytic survey research with cross sectional approach, while the data analysis used is the Spearman Rank correlation test. The population used in this study were patients in the Asoka room of RSUD dr. R. Koesma Tuban who fit the inclusion criteria as many as 155, with a large sample of 112 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. The results showed that most patients were quite satisfied with the quite good nursing services. Spearmen Correlation Test Results (rs) obtained, the variable quality of nursing services (p <0.05) has a relationship to the level of patient satisfaction with moderate correlation (r = 0.476) and the direction of the positive correlation which means the better the quality of nursing services, the higher the level of satisfaction patient.Almost half of the nurses at Asoka Room  RSUD dr. R. Koesma Tuba have a good quality nursing service. Almost half of the patient at Asoka Room RSUD dr. R. Koesma Tuban feel satisfy with nurse’s service; there is a correlation between the quality of nurse service and the level of patient satisfaction  at Asoka Room RSUD dr. R. Koesma Tuban.

This systematic literature review describes the experiences of the nurse preceptor in the preceptorship program in health care services. Data was collected from three databases: EBSCO, ScienceDirect, and Scopus. Qualitative, peer-reviewed, original studies published in English from 2013 until 2017 and exploring preceptor experiences of the preceptorship program were involved. The manuscripts were selected by screening titles, abstracts and full papers and the quality of the studies was measured. Data were analysed using content analysis.Ten studies were chosen for the review. Nurse preceptor experiences were divided into four main categories: experiences related to the preparation; experiences related to the preceptee; experiences preceptor role during the program; and experiences related to work environment. The findings establish that the nurse preceptor has a great impact to determine the quality of nursing services to the new graduate nurses, but many challenges face during the program.

Abstract Aim To evaluate patients' satisfaction with the quality of nursing care and examine factors which affect their decision. Design A retrospective, cross-sectional, descriptive survey study. Methods Data were collected using a structured questionnaire in Georgian language was administered to the patients. The response rate was 93% and the final sample was composed of 173 patients who enrolled consequently after taking written informed consent. One hospital and one outpatient department in the capital city of Georgia were selected for the study setting. Data were collected during one month. Data on demography was collected. Descriptive and inferential statistics were applied accordingly using STATA version 17. Eligible criteria: Adults, capable of independent communication and who talk Georgian language, did not have any severe process or complications, were in the recovery stage, with no referral and discharging to home. Results Majority of respondents were aged between 56-65 years (50%), males (52.5%), residents of the capital city (70%), having higher education (80%) and employed (75%). Overall, 89% of patients described provided nursing care as an excellent. The most important factors, which affect patients' satisfaction are the waiting time before admission, safety of services, comfortable environment along with the proper level of care and attentiveness. These results can be generalized and may be useful in comparative studies of patient satisfaction. Key messages Permanent evaluation of nursing care is important to evaluate patients satisfaction. Factors as waiting time, safety of services, comfortable and friendly environment, and attentiveness are key for high level of satisfaction.
