There is a growing interest to understand the role of tree nursery enterprises in Nigeria and the horn of Africa. Tree nursery  enterprises, which are vital economic activities in major cities of Nigeria and particularly in the city of Lagos are not adequately studied and well documented. Therefore, this study seeks to fill a gap in understanding the socioeconomic importance and profitability potential of tree nursery enterprises. Multistage sampling technique with a 3-stage design was adopted in this study using aquantitative data collection techniques through the use of structured questionnaire administered to 120 nursery entrepreneurs. Data were analyzed using descriptive, inferential, and budgetary analysis. The result revealed that tree nursery entrepreneurs are literate, mostly male in their youthful age. Furthermore, the total annual revenue earned by the respondents was ₦1,712,222.22 with a mean annual net income of ₦1,458,038.72 while the return per naira invested was ₦5.71. This shows that tree nursery enterprise is profitable in the study area. However, most entrepreneurs were faced with shortage of land for establishments of tree nursery in the study area. Therefore, appropriate actions in reducing cost of land lease/purchase are recommended to encourage new entrepreneurs and strengthen the sector’s development. Rubber Agroforestry System (RAS) is an innovative farming system contributing significantly to the livelihood of smallholders in Edo State. Data for this study were collected from 120 rubber smallholder farmers having a contiguous 2 hectares farmland with the aid of structured questionnaire using multistage sampling technique with a 3-stage design. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive, inferential, and budgetary analysis. The result revealed that majority of the RAS farmers were males, with an average mean age of 49 years and most of the RAS farmers had some level of education, they attained secondary and tertiary education with an average number of 8.3 years in education. Furthermore, the total annual revenue earned by the respondents was ₦992,500 ($ 2,756.94) with a mean annual net income of ₦527,003 ($ 1,463.90) while the return per naira invested was ₦1.69. This shows that for every ₦1 invested in the cropping combination in the RAS, there was a return of 69 kobo in the study area. Thus, RAS provides income and employment for smallholder community to be self-sufficient and economically independent. This study concludes that respondents valued RAS as an innovative sustainable agroforestry system capable of generating income and employment. Government therefore should leverage through adequate fiscal policy to enable easy credit facility by farmers

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of the role of the Chairperson and Cooperative Manager in the preparation and application of Financial Statements based on SAK ETAP in cooperatives in the city of Palembang. This research is a quantitative study using data obtained from questionnaires and measured using a Likert scale. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The sample used in this study was the Chairperson of the cooperative and the manager of the cooperative in the city of Palembang. The cooperatives studied were 203 cooperatives. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression test. The results showed that the role of cooperative leaders and managers had a significant positive effect on the preparation and application of SAK ETAP-based financial statements.Keywords : chairman, manager, SAK ETAP, cooperative

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still high. One of the indirect causes of maternal death is the behaviour of pregnant women. Information is needed about the role of nurses as educators on the healthy behaviour of pregnant women. The purpose of the study was to find a picture of the experience of pregnant women related to the role of nurses as educators on the healthy behaviour of pregnant women. This type of research is a qualitative phenomenological. As the population is pregnant women in the city of Semarang, samples were taken by convenience sampling technique of 6 people. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews. Analysis of qualitative data with the Colaizzi model. The results found 3 themes describing the role of nurses as educators on healthy behaviour of pregnant women, namely the role of nurses as educators, efforts made by pregnant women in pregnancy care, and expectation of mothers towards the role of nurses. The conclusion of this research is the role of nurses in healthy behaviour of pregnant women, healthy behaviour of mothers in the form of physical health care, nutritional needs of pregnant women, supporting food needs, routine examination of pregnant women (antenatal care), and establishing emotional relations with the fetus.

Background. A traffic accident is an incident on the road which accidentally involves a vehicle with or without other road users which results in human casualties and/or property loss. The most common injury that occurs during traffic accidents is head injury. Head injury due to traffic accidents is a major cause of disability and mortality in developing countries.Objective. To analyze the overview of victim who died with head injury in traffic accidents at the forensic department of DR. M. Djamil Padang 2018-2019.Methods. This type of research is retrospective descriptive. Sampling was carried out by total sampling technique in the forensic department of RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang from March 2020 - September 2020.Results. The results showed that 150 victims who died with head injury in traffic accidents. The conclusion of this study, most of the age is 15-29 years and the incidence was higher in males. The most common injury patterns are abrasions.The head region most affected is the frontalis region. The most time for accidents is at 12.01-18.00 WIB and the most accident days are on Sundays. Most of the accident locations were outside the city of Padang, most types of vehicles were motorbikes, the role of the most victims were motorists and the most types of accidents were being hit by other vehicles.Conclusion. Most of the age is 15-29 years and the incidence was higher in males. The head region most affected is the frontalis region. This chapter considers the organization of river transport in Roman Egypt (30 BC—AD 284). Egypt provided a significant proportion of grain to the city of Rome; thus the collection of tax grain and its transport to Alexandria was the first stage in the complex organization of the annona. The chapter considers the integration of land and river transport of tax grain, the nature, status, and organization of naukleroi, and the role of the state. It also discusses the transport of private goods by river and offers some quantification of the cost of river transport. It places these economic activities into the broader context of debate about the ancient economy.

SME is one of the backbones of the national economy that directly faces the competition of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The role of SMEs as economic activities is expected not only to be able to meet market needs in local communities but also reduce unemployment by providing employment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of creativity and product innovation on business performance. This research is field research for businesspeople in the city of Semarang. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling approach, a business actor (owner or manager) who is willing to be a respondent as many as 100 respondents. The results of this study indicate that creativity and product innovation simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the business performance of SMEs in the city of Semarang. The implications of this research can be used by SMEs to optimize creativity and improve product innovation capabilities so that it has an impact on improving performance.

The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of peer-led and teacher-led educational interventions on depression-related knowledge among in-school adolescents in Ogun State, Nigeria. The study utilized a quasi-experimental design comprising one control group and three experimental groups. The population of the study was 120 in-school adolescents selected using the multistage sampling technique. A validated semi-structured questionnaire was used for data collection. The findings revealed that the adolescents’ level of depression knowledge had a significant increase after the intervention. The teacher-led group had greater knowledge scores (mean difference = 14.87; effect size = 5.222; t = 19.943; p = 0.000). In conclusion, the teacher-led educational intervention was very effective in improving the level of adolescents’ depression knowledge in Ogun State. It is recommended that teachers are empowered in the country to be able to provide adolescents with the necessary support in which they play the role of mentors in schools.

This study makes a spatial analysis of mobile pastoralism and socioeconomic problems among rural Fulani communities in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria. Specifically, the study assesses the socioeconomic characteristics of mobile pastoralists; identify the length of stay of mobile pastoralists in their host communities and identify socioeconomic problems confronting Fulani herdsmen in their economic activities. A multistage sampling technique was employed to sample 740 Fulani herdsmen from twenty Fulani settlements and from four adjoining villages. Descriptive statistical techniques such as tables cross tabulations, percentages and graphs were employed to analyze the demographic characteristics of the pastoralists, length of stay in their host communities and other sources of income. Matrix scoring was used to rank the socioeconomic problems identified. The results revealed that the mean average age of sampled respondents was 44.8years, 83.8% married and average household size of 11people. Dwindling pasture, land degradation and drought were the most pressing socioeconomic problems identified. The study concludes by recommending adult education for the Fulani pastoralists as this will assist in enhancing and improving the socio-economic life of the mobile pastoralists.

This study aims to (1) analyze costs and farm income oyster mushroom in the village of Simpang Baru subdistrict Tampan Pekanbaru, (2) analyzing the viability of farming oyster mushroom in the village of Simpang New District of Pekanbaru, (3) Analyze Break Even Point (BEP ) white oyster mushroom business in the village new intersections Handsome District of the city of Pekanbaru. The sampling technique using census method. The results showed that during the production process (4 months) from 5000 baglog oyster mushrooms can produce immediate of 1200 kg, with a selling price at farmer level Rp. 30,000 / Kg. Total gross revenue for Rp.36.000.000, total production cost of Rp. 17,604,912. and net income of Rp. 18,395,088. BEP value sales of Rp. 5,668,708 and BEP unit amounted to 189.88 Kg. BCR value of 0.24 so that it can be concluded that the oyster mushroom farm in the village of Simpang Baru Subdistrict Tampan Pekanbaru City deserves to be continued
