Majority of the students regarded algebra as one of the difficult areas in mathematics. They even find difficulties in algebraic expressions. Thus, this investigation was conducted to identify common errors in algebraic expressions of the preservice teachers. A descriptive method of research was used to address the problems. The data were gathered using the developed test administered to the 79 preservice teachers. Statistical tools such as frequency, percent, and mean percentage error were utilized to address the present problems. Results show that performance in algebraic expressions of the preservice teachers is average. However, performance in classifying polynomials and translating mathematical phrases into symbols was very low and low, respectively. Furthermore, the study indicates that preservice teachers were unable to classify polynomials in parenthesis. Likewise, they are confused of the signs in adding and subtracting polynomials. Results disclosed that preservice teachers have difficulties in classifying polynomials according to the degree and polynomials in parenthesis. They also have difficulties in translating mathematical phrases into symbols. Thus, mathematics teachers should strengthen instruction on these topics. Mathematics teachers handling the subject are also encouraged to develop learning exercises that will develop the mastery level of the students.

This study aimed to analyze the planning, implementation, and feedback stages of clinical supervision of principals in learning at SD Negeri Coa Kaimana. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative analysis approach. The subject of the research were the principal, teachers, and school staff, about 16 people. This study indicated that the principal of SD Negeri Coa Kaimana had implemented a clinical supervision program in learning with three stages. Before implementing the clinical supervision program, the principal by involving the vice principal, the curriculum section, senior teachers and classroom teachers to plan what they wanted to be supervised according to the needs and needs of the teacher, such as compiling a schedule of supervision, goals, objectives, steps, and time. The principal supervised the implementation of clinical supervision such as coming to the classroom to see classroom learning activities, preparing learning equipment such as lesson plans, syllabus, Prota, Prosem, assessment, teaching aids, handbooks, and learning media. Based on research, it was known that the principal's clinical supervision research in learning was clinical supervision feedback such as calling the supervised teacher to be fostered and followed up. However, some were a little difficult to foster. The teachers also increasingly understood their duties as educators.Keywords: Clinical Supervision; Learning; PrincipalPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan umpan balik supervisi klinis kepala sekolah dalam pembelajaran di SD Negeri Coa Kaimana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis kualitatif. Subjek penelitian supervisi ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan sebanyak 16 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepala SD Negeri Coa Kaimana telah melaksanakan program supervisi klinis dalam pembelajaran dengan tiga tahapan. Sebelum melaksanakan program supervisi klinis, kepala sekolah dengan melibatkan wakil kepala sekolah, bagian kurikulum, guru senior, dan guru kelas untuk merencanakan parameter yang hendak disupervisi berdasarkan kebutuhan guru seperti menyusun jadwal dan tujuan supervisi. Kepala sekolah melakukan supervisi pelaksanaan supervisi klinis, seperti visitasi ruang kelas untuk melihat kegiatan pembelajaran, aktualisasi RPP, silabus, Prota, Prosem, penilaian, alat alat peraga, buku pegangan, dan media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa supervis klinis kepala sekolah dalam pembelajaran adalah umpan balik supervisi klinis seperti memanggil guru yang disupervisi untuk dibina dan ditindaklanjuti. Kendati demikian, ada sebagian guru yang sedikit sulit untuk dibina. Mereka juga perlahan memahami tugas sebagai pendidik.Kata Kunci: Supervisi Klinis; Pembelajaran; Kepala Sekolah

AbstrakMasalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu pentingnya strategi produk dalam menjalankan sebuah usaha agar mampu bertahan dan bersaing  dengan perusahaan lain yang sejenis dalam kondisi persaingan yang ketat dan perkembangan zaman yang sangat cepat. Strategi produk sangat diperlukan dalam mememenuhi tuntutan konsumen seperti meningkatkan kualitas, menciptakan merek, pelayanan serta jaminan terhadap produk yang ditawarkan agar usaha mampu berkembang. Limpapeh”s Kebaya adalah usaha yang sedang berkembang dan telah mampu memasarkan produk bordirnya hingga menembus pasar ekspor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi produk bordir di Limpapeh”s Kebaya, Kapalo Koto, Koto Tangah Simalanggang, Kota Payakumbuh. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriftif kualitatif, jenis data berupa data primer dan  sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisa model interaktif yang berkaitan dengan pokok permasalahan yaitu dengan model reduksi data, penyajian data dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu strategi produk yang dilakukan di Limpapeh”s Kebaya adalah dimulai dari menciptakan produk bordir yang berkualitas, desain motif bordir yang up to date dan kreatif, menyediakan ukuran yang special, memberi merek pada produk bordir, memberi kemasan yang menarik (paperbag) dan serbaguna, pelayanan yang cepat, tepat dan ramah serta pemberian jaminan terhadap produk border.Kata Kunci: strategi produk, pelayanan, bordir. AbstractThe problem in this study is the importance of product strategy in running a business in order to be able to survive and compete with other similar companies in conditions of intense competition and very rapid development of the times. Product strategy is very necessary in fulfilling consumer demands such as improving quality, creating brands, services and guarantees for products offered so that businesses are able to grow. Limpapeh's Kebaya is a growing business and has been able to market its embroidery products to penetrate the export market. This study aims to describe the strategy of embroidery products in Limpapeh's Kebaya, Kapalo Koto, Koto Tangah Simalanggang, Payakumbuh City. The research method uses qualitative descriptive method, the type of data in the form of primary and secondary data. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out with interactive model analysis techniques that are related to the subject matter, namely with a model of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the research, namely the product strategy carried out at Limpapeh's Kebaya, are started from creating quality embroidery products, up-to-date and creative embroidery motifs, providing special sizes, giving brands to embroidery products, giving attractive packaging (paperbag) and versatile, fast, precise and friendly service and guarantee of embroidery products. RESUMENEsta investigación examina la espiritualidad y su consideración en el ambiente laboral, específicamente en los trabajadores de la Dirección de Educación Estadal del Municipio Palavecino, Estado Lara, Venezuela. El estudio de tipo descriptivo y cualitativo permitió analizar materiales teóricos relacionados con la espiritualidad en el trabajo, tomando el concepto de espiritualidad de Mitroff y Denton (1999) como marco teórico para esta investigación, además de los aportes de Pérez (2007) y Robles (2011) que exploran el tema y permitieron la elaboración de un constructo teórico para esta investigación. Los resultados evidencian que existe un alto interés por el tema de la espiritualidad tanto en la vida personal como en el trabajo y puede tratarse abiertamente en el ámbito laboral, a pesar de las limitaciones sobre el tema, su principal beneficio es que favorece el equilibrio en todos los aspectos de la vida.Palabras clave: espiritualidad, ambiente laboral, creencias y valores espirituales.An study of case on the analysis of spirituality at the workABSTRACT This research examines spirituality and its consideration in the workplace, specifically on workers of the Directorate of Education of the Municipality Palavecino State Authority, State Lara, Venezuela. This study aims to explain how the distribution of productive zakat in the Rumah Zakat North Sumatra and how the effectiveness of productive zakat distribution in improving the welfare of mustahik in the Rumah Zakat North Sumatra. This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of descriptive method, which is a problem that guides researchers to explore and photograph situations that will be thoroughly investigated, broadly and deeply. Data collection techniques with field research, while the tools used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study inform that in distributing productive zakat funds, Rumah Zakat is in accordance with Law No. 23 of 2011 concerning Management of Zakat. The distribution of productive zakat carried out by the Rumah Zakat North Sumatra through the Senyum Mandiri Program to mustahik in Medan Helvetia Subdistrict has been effective, because it can improve the welfare of mustahik, this is evidenced by the income of eight of thirteen mustahik people in total, five people whose income is fixed and four out of eight people whose income has increased has reached the level of muzaki.

ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to give understanding and clear explanation about teaching students’ listening skill by English video. Commonly, teaching listening through tape recorder, but in this research teacher shows different way, video is collaboration between pictures and sound components, and it contains a recording of a movie or television program. Students can be able to know the activity or a topic being discussion through visual aid and knowing the pictures expression clearly, this way can help students to get clear information both pronunciations and expression. Grade VIII of SMPN 15 Tangerang with total number is 20 students and 10 English teachersas the subject of the research.  Qualitative descriptive method is applied in this research to explain teaching process through video clearly, however, literature and questionnaere with close answer form is given to get the data. The result of this research are: firstly, teaching listening skill through video can be used by the teacher to make a listening class is more enjoyable and understandable, because audio visual aid can cover students various learning style, finally at the end of teaching and listening process the objectives of study can be gained. Secondly; teaching listening through video is very useful way to encourage and foster students’ listening skill and their interest.      Keywords: Using Video, Listening skill, teaching listening

AbstrakBanyak siswa yang kesulitan dalam memahami konsep matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pada pokok bahasan Lingkaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  adalah metode deskriptif dengan penelitian kasus. Materi tentang Lingkaran merupakan materi yang terdapat di SMP kelas VIII pada semester genap dan materi ini merupakan salah satu materi yang berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari hari. Kelas VIII F SMPN 3 Karawang Barat dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes tertulis kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Soal berbentuk uraian yang sebelum digunakan sudah di uji validasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan rata-rata nilai kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa adalah 10,06 termasuk dalam kriteria sedang.  Hasil analisis konsep per indikator, diketahui siswa sangat kurang pada indikator menerapkan hubungan antar konsep dan prosedur, kemudian dalam menerapkan konsep secara algoritma. Masih terdapat banyak siswa yang memiliki pemahaman konsep yang kurang.  Understanding of Mathematical Concepts Class VIII Students in Circle MaterialsAbstractMany students have difficulty understanding mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability to understand students' concepts in solving questions on the subject of the Circle. The method used in this research is descriptive method with case research. The material about Circles is the material found in class VIII SMP in the even semester and this material is one of the materials related to daily life. Class VIII F of SMP 3 Karawang Barat was chosen as the research subject. Data collection is done by giving written tests the ability to understand concepts. Questions in the form of descriptions that have been validated before being used. The results of this study show the average value of the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts is 10.06 which is included in the criteria of being. The results of concept analysis per indicator, it is known that students are very lacking in indicators applying relationships between concepts and procedures, then in applying the concept algorithmically. There are still many students who lack an understanding of concepts.

The article deals with the analysis of the process of forming terminological units by means of lexis de-symbolization. The functioning of this way and its meaning for forming legal terminology is examined here. The lexical base of analysis is formed with the complex of lexis of the German legal terminological system. The objective of the current research is a multifaceted study and description of the semantic foundations of lexical units of law. The requirement to implement this objective has determined the need to solve the following research task: to investigate the process of de-symbolization of words, i. e. the transformation of words into terminological units primarily through the restoration of their semantic foundations (as exemplified by a number of German lexemes). The object of the research is the lexicon of the domain of the legal terminology of the said language. The subject of the research is the formation of legal terms as a result of the process of de-symbolization of the respective words (notions). The material involved in the study was considered from the standpoint of a systematic approach. In order to obtain objective data when determining the semantic foundations of terminological units of law, the descriptive method and the comparative one were used, as well as the method of semantic bundles (series). Examining the process of de-symbolization of lexical units makes it possible to draw the conclusion that the functioning of words in the context of certain semantic parameters determines the change in the content of those words' symbolic foundations. The words are used in a narrower sense, since they have become terms.

The aim of this research is to find out the extent to which the mathematics teachers of the intermediate stage benefit from the teaching and learning sites of mathematics, and to find the most used sites by mathematics teachers, and then study and evaluate these sites in the light of technical and educational standards for educational sites. The researchers used two tools to collect the study information, a questionnaire to identify the extent to which they benefited from the learning and learning sites of mathematics, and an evaluation form to determine the extent to which these sites are subject to technical and educational controls. The researcher applied the research using descriptive method, with the sample of the research divided into two parts: a human sample of (14) teachers of mathematics for the middle stage in Riyadh city, the second was an electronic sample of (5) mathematical sites, the research concluded the importance of these sites for the parameters , And the evaluation form showed the availability of technical and educational standards in these sites. The research recommended the establishment of a database of these educational sites on the Internet, so that teachers can benefit from them, and the need for teachers, especially mathematics teachers, to understand the importance of these sites as an activity that serves the educational content.

This article considers the subject of interdisciplinary interaction among specialists working in exact and social sciences as a practice of exchanging ideas about social reality; mutual adaptation of these ideas; empirical verification of the universal formal logic rules applied to specific tasks of sociological research. Such formulation of the subject goes beyond the problem of adapting educational programs to “literacy classes” for potential partners. It is maintained that in inter-professional communication it is important to formulate conceptual systems of common use not “in general”, not for all possible cases, but with regard to the problem addressed by consolidated effort. For such conceptual systems we use the term “common language area” according to the ideas of epistemologists (Ilya Kasavin). Elements of these conceptual systems include paradigms, concepts, tools and procedures mobilized for collaborative work. Readers are offered a description of the experience of cooperation between mathematicians and sociologists in 1990 – 2010s in the qualitative analysis of sociological data — which is an area of concern for both sociology and exact methods. To find a cooperative solution, we needed to develop a system of basic propositions regarding the object and purpose of the research; to put together a structure of sociological data suitable for using the proposed formal tool; to carry out empirical verification of the formalized language of logic-mathematical reasoning. This work has made it possible to explicate the opportunities and limitations when it comes to interpreting results. The article draws conclusions about the specifics of communication in a team of specialists, including sociologists and mathematicians, and about the development of a common language area in the field of cooperation that deals with qualitative analysis of sociological data. Our experience of cooperation in using formalized qualitative analysis of sociological data shows that, when it comes to the need to solve a common problem, partner role relations turned out to be the most effective (rather than role pairs such as “teacher-student” or “seller-buyer”).
