The Covid-19 pandemic not only hit the health sector but also rocked a country's economy. Nevertheless, the government has continued to set a series of policies to shore up the economy, including making more fiscal spending, providing tax relief, cutting borrowing rates and bank reserve requirements to revive an economy ravaged by the outbreak and to support jobs. This article aims to discuss the government's monetary policy in the face of economic shocks during the Covid-19 pandemic. Especially specific in Bank Indonesia's decision to keep interest rates on hold, which was announced at the BI Board of Governors Meeting, held on August 18-19, 2020. After analysis and discussion, it was found that this decision was made to maintain external stability amid low inflation and consider the global economy which showed signs of improvement after experiencing severe pressures in the second quarter 2020.

In response to the challenges of the 21st century, emerging countries have played an increasingly leading role in the global economy, and public health has been a notable feature of the government agendas in these countries. According to the IMF, Brazil is one of the countries with the greatest potential to stand out in this context. The quantity of research and development into technologies for drugs and medications is important for supporting innovation in the health sector. Information science can therefore help considerably in the analysis of patents, indicating trends, revealing opportunities for investors, and assisting the decision-taking process by private sector managers and government agents. This study is based on the extraction of valuable information contained in the hidden Web through technology foresight of products deemed strategic by the Brazilian Ministry of Heath, which are the target of public policies and investments by the state for domestic production.

Introduction: The Nigerian health sector faces several challenges especially during economic recession. These encumbrances have led to low productivity, worsened out-of-pocket expenditure with its attendant "health shock” and poor service delivery. Methodology: A didactic empirical literature review of articles bordering on key terminologies in the title was perused to guide this article. Results Economic recession hampers productivity of both professional personnel and the government in rendering services to the populace on one hand while it may be difficult for the people to access care on the other hand. These bring to the fore, the problems of escalated prices of drugs, low patronage of accredited hospitals, rapid migration of professionals in search of “greener pastures”, and increase in morbidity and mortality in the populace. When these occur, to achieve health for all and Universal Health Coverage becomes a mirage. Discussion: Prospects and pragmatic solutions have been suggested such as funding and financing mechanisms especially Health Insurance Schemes, limiting of medical tourisms to only when it is expressly needed, adequate remuneration of health workers, healthy government policies with policy direction, and needs assessment among other solutions. Conclusion: Healthcare during recession will be better improved when economic indicators are thematically addressed to yield palpable impacts as these will go a long way to alleviate the dwindling health care delivery in a recessed economy. Keywords: Healthcare, Challenges, Recessed economy, Prospects, Solutions, Nigeria.

The citizens of Singapore have been in thrall to the governing People's Action Party (PAP) and its senior figure Lee Kuan Yew for almost 45 years. Served by a pliant media brought to heel by a combination of legislative and ownership controls, the PAP has been effective in limiting the space for debate while successfully conveying its own internal messaging aimed at securing the state and its own political longevity. It has done this by creating the image of a Singapore as a fortress Chinese-led stability and prosperity, ever under threat from more restive neighbours. But, in the face of the emerging threats to this control posed by new information technology and the exigencies of the global economy, the government has been forced to become increasingly ophisticated at managing perceptions and minimizing controversy. This paper will examine how the government has successfully met these challenges in a public relations triumph, effectively winning the battle for the hearts and minds of its internal audience, as well as shoring up the image of 'Fortress Singapore' and appeasing external allies in the 'war against terror', thus keeping Singapore critics in check and neutralizing any external political support for domestic political movements.

Corona virus has affected the global economy in a worst condition where the Indian Government is only concerned with protecting the lives of people being laid on the economic resources and the condition of this country. This falsify situation that has been raised due to the migration of crores of people from various state and the loss of employment of many people is also the bad time in the history of mankind. The lockdown system has told people to be self-reliant by maintaining the distancing strategy with others. The lockdown made migrant workers tend to be vulnerable to the loss of employment and wages during an economic crisis in their host country, more so than native born workers. Lockdown in labour campus and dormitories can also increase the risk of contagion among migrant workers. Observing that government policy responses to the corona virus crisis have largely excluded migrants and their families back home, the World Bank said there is a strong case for including migrants in the near term health strategies of all countries, given the externalities associated with the health status of an entire population in the face of a highly contagious pandemic. The government has announced that about eight crore migrant workers, irrespective of whether they have ration cards, will get free food grains for the next two months.

Worldwide, hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is still a major public health problem. Bangladesh having a large burden of HBV infection, should be a major contributor towards it’s elimination by 2030. The country has been making progress in reducing incidence of HBV infection during the past decades. The progresses are mainly due to large vaccination coverage among children and large coverage of timely birthdose vaccine for prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HBV. However, Bangladesh still faces challenges in achieving target of reduction in mortality from HBV. On the basis of targets of the WHO’s Global health sector strategy on viral hepatitis 2016–2021, we highlight priorities for action towards HBV elimination. To attain the target of reduced mortality we propose that, the service coverage targets of diagnosis and treatment should be prioritized along with vaccination. Firstly, improvements are needed in the diagnostic and treatment abilities of medical institutions and health workers. Secondly, the government needs to reduce the costs of health care. Thirdly, better coordination is needed across existing national program and resources to establish an integrated system for prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment of HBV infection. In this way, we can make progress towards achieving the target of eliminating HBV from Bangladesh by 2030 J Bangladesh Coll Phys Surg 2020; 38(3): 145-149

This article analyzes the public diplomacy of the government of Lázaro Cárdenas, focusing on the administration’s decision to publicize the nation’s poverty internationally, especially in the United States. This study suggests that this was an unprecedented strategy, putting “national prestige” at risk in order to explain the importance of implementing the reforms contained in the Six Year Plan, in the face of public opinion in the United States. Taking advantage of the increased empathy felt towards the poor during the New Deal, a specific image of hygienic and redeemable poverty was constructed. However, this strategy did not generate agreement among Mexicans.

This chapter examines the large net-of-interest deficits in the U.S. federal budget that have marked the administration of Ronald Reagan. It explains the fiscal and monetary actions observed during the Reagan administration as reflecting the optimal decisions of government policymakers. The discussion is based on an equation whose validity is granted by all competing theories of macroeconomics: the intertemporal government budget constraint. The chapter first considers the government budget balance and the optimal tax smoothing model of Robert Barro before analyzing monetary and fiscal policy during the Reagan years: a string of large annual net-of-interest government deficits accompanied by a monetary policy stance that has been tight, especially before February 1985, and even more so before August 1982. Indicators of tight monetary policy are high real interest rates on government debt and pretax yields that exceed the rate of economic growth.

The aim of this paper are: to create a data visualization that can assist the Government in evaluating the return on the development of health facilities in the region and province area in term of human resources for medical personnel, to help community knowing the amount of distribution of hospitals with medical personnel in the regional area and to map disease indicator in Indonesia. The issue of tackling health is still a major problem that is not resolved by the Government of Indonesia. There are three big things that become problems in the health sector in Indonesia: infrastructure has not been evenly distributed and less adequate, the lack of human resources professional health workforce, there is still a high number of deaths in the outbreak of infectious diseases. Data for the research are taken from BPS, in total 10,600 records after the Extract, Transform and Loading process. Time needed to convert several publications from PDF, to convert to CSV and then to MS Excel 3 weeks. The method used is Eight-step Data Visualization and Data Mining methodology. Tableau is chosen as a tool to create the data visualization because it can combine each dasboard inside a story interactive, easier for the user to analyze the data. The result is a story with 3 dashboards that can fulfill the requirement from BPS staff and has been tested with a satisfied result in the UAT (User Acceptance Test).
