The objective of the research was to examine and analyze the articles that address public tourism policies in specialized magazines at a global level, with the aim of knowing through comparative public policies, alternative solutions in a post-pandemic scenario. Regarding the methodology, articles were selected whose titles presented one or more keywords that referred to the disease "Covid-19" and "public tourism policies" in Spanish and English. To process the information, the content analysis technique was used. The results showed that the place and space occupied by tourism public policies in the main tourism magazines is scarce and not seen as a management tool for the sector. The conclusion emphasized the lack of clarity regarding the methodology used in the articles and the scarce proposal of public policies that were implemented in situations of health crises, epidemics, wars, etc. For the rest, the following questions served as a guide for the analysis: 1) What is the role of governments in the tourism sector? and, 2) What public policies did governments implement in similar situations such as the current health crisis?

This article introduces the role of innovation and exponential technologies to eliminate shortfalls in access to basic needs at a global level while achieving sustainability in four dimensions: economic, social, political and ecological. Next the article reviews the literature concerning the role of films and TV programs on influencing public opinion and producing changes in economic, social, and political outcomes. Several films and TV programs that have achieved this are presented, with documentation of their successes. Then a “media moonshot” is proposed to help develop support for public policies to accelerate progress toward sufficiency and sustainability through innovation. This would be achieved by helping finance a tenfold increase in production of films and TV programs in this field. Various fiction and non-fiction formats would be used. The goal proposed is to reach an audience of at least one billion people with measurable impacts on public opinion and government policies. Several examples of possible films and TV programs are presented.

This study aims to analyze the process of local participation in the development of Klayar Beach tourism in Pacitan Regency by looking at the compatibility between the dynamics of increasing tourists and the participation of local communities in development. From this, it is known to what extent the contribution and participation of local communities in tourism development participation efforts. The implication of this research is an explanation related to the results of the analysis of the gaps in the stages of participation by the local community as managers. The research method is descriptive analytic by using triangulation as a data analysis technique. The results show that local participation runs in all stages of the development of the Klayar Beach tourist area from the beginning, tourism issues, planning, implementation and governance, to monitoring and evaluation. The lack of local participation lies in participation in terms of anticipating tourist arrivals at certain times and moments, in which case the local community as managers experience limitations in terms of capacity. To overcome this, the researcher suggests that efforts be made to increase local capacity both in terms of quality and quantity so that local participation efforts can run optimally in the development and sustainability process, and be able to overcome unexpected problems through the role of participation. This effort also refers to the opinion of several experts who state that local participation is one of the main keys in developing the tourism sector

Federalism is a theory which has largely affected the European integration process and it remains important today. From the financial crisis and the requests for the creation either of Eurobonds or of a unified banking sector, to the current health crisis and the request for a common health policy approach and a common recovery mechanism for the elimination of the negative economic and social consequences of the pandemic, the theoretical and empirical discussion about the direction that European integration should follow are yet active. In this essay we will firstly outline some basic aspects of the theory of federalism as well as a brief comparison with other theories and secondly, we conduct an analysis on the contemporary importance of federalism. Accordingly, an evaluation of the theory with real examples-challenges offers lucrative ground in order to reach some tentative conclusions on the current and future role of federalism to the European integration process.

AbstractAlthough healthcare professionals have become the symbol of risk and sacrifice during the COVID-19 pandemic, spiritual care practitioners (SCP) have also put themselves at great risk while offering their service in hospitals, hospices and other healthcare facilities. This study was designed to explore the lived experiences of SCP during the current health crisis in Poland. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with twenty-four SCP. Nine major themes emerged from the interviews: personal reactions to the pandemic, SCP’s perception of the pandemic, the impact of COVID-19 on the provision of spiritual care, spiritual needs during the pandemic, work-related emotions, the impact of the COVID-19 on religion, the role of spiritual care during the outbreak, the healthcare professionals’ perceptions of SCP and barriers to the provision of spiritual care during the pandemic. The SCP indicated that although the COVID-19 crisis has affected the availability of pastoral, religious and spiritual care, it has amplified the importance of such care and has positively influenced the visibility of SCP in modern healthcare practice. Nonetheless, in such desperate times, SCP are still neglected and should be further recognised and integrated into the healthcare system.
