Kata kunci: Asupan nutrisi, aktivitas fisik, konsentrasi, masalah kantukAbstractNutrient and energy intake, nutrition status, and daily activity could give impact for sleepiness problem. Sleepiness related to the decreasing of cognitive ability that caused by iron deficiency. A person who feels sleepy will have a lack of physical activities that lead to overweight and therefore has a higher risk to suffer degenerative diseases such as cardiovascular and diabetes mellitus. This study aimed to analyze dominant factor that can give influence to sleepiness problem among students. The cross sectional research used 139 students of Faculty of Public Health University of Indonesia. The percentage of students who is almost sleepy was 28,80%. This research showed the association between sleep duration and somnolence problem is significant (p value = 0,048). Students with sleep duration < 8 hours a day could be 0,50 times more sleepy than students with sleep duration ³ 8 hours a day. The dominant factor is sleep duration after controlled by protein and fat intake, physical activity, and media exposure. Students that frequently feels sleepy indicated low iron intake so that suggested to increase the iron intake through consuming heme contained food.Key words: Nutrition intake, physical activity, concentration, sleepiness problem

Background: Malnutrition is one of the major public health concerns in developing countries. In Pakistan more than 38% of the children are under weight and stunted. Malnutrition in children has been found associated with nutritional knowledge of mothers. The current study has been conducted to assess the nutrition status of children from 6 months to 5 years of age. Objectives: To determine the association of child’s nutritional status to immunization and maternal nutritional knowledge. Study Design: Cross sectional descriptive study design was used. Setting: Mustafa Abad, District Kasur, Pakistan. Period: April to June 2018. Methods: Convenient sampling technique was used. For data collection a self-structured questionnaire was used. Nutritional status of children was measured in term of stunting, wasting and under-weight, according to the WHO’s criteria of malnutrition. Data were entered in SPSS version-20 and analyzed. Results: There was significant association (p-value <0.05) between child’s nutrition status with mothers’ nutritional knowledge. The majority of the mothers with adequate knowledge had children with normal nutrition status whereas the children whose mothers had poor nutritional knowledge were presented with stunting. The immunization coverage of this area was good as it was 99%. Conclusion: Malnutrition is prevalent in our children at alarming level. There is a need to improve the nutritional knowledge of mothers because it has a definite association with nutritional status of children under the age of five years.

Nutritional status is one of the factors that can affect learning achievement. School-age children who are malnourished will cause children to become weak, tired and sick, so children are often absent and have difficulty following and understanding the lesson. Nutritional conditions will also affect children's ability to understand lessons in school and influence learning achievement. This research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was all students from grade 1 to grade 4 in Banjarmasin SDN Mawar 8 in 2018 totaling 83 students. The sample size was 69 respondents with cluster sampling technique. Nutritional status data were obtained using the Body Mass Index (BMI) by age (BMI/U), ie children aged 5-18 years by performing high measurements and using microtoice and weight measurements using digital scales and recording data types and age data in full years and months. . Learning achievement data is obtained based on the value of the last report card. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate Che Square tests using computer programs with a confidence level of 95%. Statistically there is a significant relationship between nutritional status and learning prestige in Banjarmasin SDN Mawar 8 with p-value (0.014) < α (0.05). Based on the results of the study, it was suggested the need for cooperation from the school with parents of students in terms of providing a healthy and nutritious breakfast and lunch, while also conducting further research studies on the most basic causes using a case control approach and multivariate testing for knowing the dominant causal factors for student achievement.
