Abstract: The aim of the study focuses on analysing the situation of women's football based in the Berguedà region. In a long historical perspective, the globalization of the economy is, no doubt, the future of the mankind. However, we should not overlook the contradiction that has dramatically intensified as a result of the 2008-2009 recession. This is the contradiction between globalization as an objective process with mostly positive effects and its model that is being implemented today (namely, the policy of globalization). Furthermore, we can propose a number of important arguments in favor of a statement that at the current state of affairs the globalization has exhausted itself. Nobody can exclude a short-term braking down of the globalization progress nor even a U-turn, albeit temporary, to a de-globalization. Under unfavorable circumstances such a reverse movement can cover the entire period up to 2020. The author states that transnational corporations are the main subject of the world economy which will the most actively oppose such a development.

Aesthetic/affective norms around femininity could be an obstacle to women’s performance of exercise. Gender differences are significant: women are considerably more inactive than men. In this article we worked with the notion of body image and body affect, with the aim of reflecting on how aesthetic/affective norms around femininity could be an obstacle to women’s performance of exercise in Chile. To understand how these aesthetic/affective norms hinder physical activity, we analyzed media images using a qualitative methodology. The results show that there are four types of female body: extremely thin, thin, fat, and obese. This study explores how affectivity relates to the way in which exercise should be experienced: women must enjoy the actions in order to achieve the ideal body; indeed, they must experience them as pleasant. They should also be performed on a body that feels graceful, fragile, and small. We draw conclusions on the way in which images promote a body affect for the self and for others that becomes a barrier to the performance of female exercise.

The process of triaging patients has come a long way. Stemming from the battlefield, it is the ability to sort casualties on the severity of their injuries that has improved the allocation of resources. In modern emergency centres, there is a constant struggle to balance limited resources against the ever-growing patient need. Since the late 1980s, when triage became the mainstream standard for sorting patients, many different systems have developed throughout the world. There was a rise in triage system design as emergency centres became more streamlined and resource-conscious. Countries around the world sought to develop triage systems that would be most effective in their given setting—giving rise to multiple variations of the triage process. This narrative review will explore the evolution of triage systems around the world by presenting: a historical perspective, how and where modern systems developed, what the main characteristics are of different systems, and a discussion of the current state of triage system evolution.

AbstractThere is lack of literature on international comparison of gender differences in the use of active travel modes. We used population-representative travel surveys for 19 major cities across 13 countries and 6 continents, representing a mix of cites from low-and-middle income (n = 8) and high-income countries (n = 11). In all the cities, females are more likely than males to walk and, in most cities, more likely to use public transport. This relationship reverses in cycling, with females often less likely users than males. In high cycling cities, both genders are equally likely to cycle. Active travel to access public transport contributes 30–50% of total active travel time. The gender differences in active travel metrics are age dependent. Among children (< 16 years), these metrics are often equal for girls and boys, while gender disparity increases with age. On average, active travel enables one in every four people in the population to achieve at least 30 min of physical activity in a day, though there is large variation across the cities. In general, females are more likely to achieve this level than males. The results highlight the importance of a gendered approach towards active transport policies. Such an approach necessitates reducing road traffic danger and male violence, as well as overcoming social norms that restrict women from cycling.

The presented article touches upon one of the most important problems of the modern world, which is low physical activity of people. These statistics make it possible to realistically assess the scale of the problem, which may develop into a disaster. Comparison of indices of physical activity of the population of different countries of the world clearly characterizes the picture of the current state of the research problem. The reasons for the low rating of attractiveness of physical activity of student youth have been substantiated, and as a solution to this problem, the need to implement an effective program to increase the positive dynamics of activity among students by the formation of mechanisms of stable structures in the motivational field of the individual is actualized. The authors indicate the positive aspects of the regular functioning of the activity of the human body, which can form the basis of the regime component of each potential sports subject of activity.

A review of 47 studies evaluating the occurrence of metabolic syndrome among employees of different professional groups around the world was made. The influence of various factors of the professional environment (physical activity in the workplace, exposure to occupational stress, exposure to harmful toxicants) on the frequency of the syndrome and its components, considering gender, age and work experience. Analysis of the literature has shown that the characteristics of work activity affect the formation of the syndrome along with well - known risk factors-lifestyle, gender and age. Thus, in most cases, the frequency of metabolic syndrome in people who have mostly "sedentary" work is much higher than in other professional groups. It is proved that the risk of the syndrome is increased when exposed to certain chemicals that are in the air of the work area, even in small concentrations, as well as under unfavorable conditions of activity - shift work, night duty, professional stress. To improve the quality of life of employees and reduce economic and social costs, it is necessary to develop programs for the prevention and rehabilitation of people with this pathology, taking into account specific working conditions, while making adjustments for gender, age, social factors (smoking status, alcohol consumption, eating behavior, physical activity during and outside of work).
