Trend terbaru menunjukkan bilangan murid yang lulus mata pelajaran Sejarah di peringkat sekolah menengah semakin menurun. Antara punca yang dikenal pasti ialah Sejarah merupakan mata pelajaran yang amat membosankan dan susah untuk dipelajari kerana terdapat pelbagai fakta yang perlu dihafal. Oleh itu, kajian ini dijalankan untuk menilai kesan pengintegrasian permainan media Word wall terhadap minat, motivasi dan pencapaian murid sekolah menengah dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah. Kaedah kajian kualitatif telah digunakan untuk mengumpul data kajian. 20 orang murid yang sering gagal dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah Tingkatan 4 telah dipilih dengan menggunakan kaedah persampelan tujuan. Empat sesi pemerhatian telah dilakukan semasa aktiviti pembelajaran dan pemudahcaaan (PdPc) berlangsung dalam kelas dan temu bual separa berstruktur telah dijalankan selepas empat minggu menjalankan aktiviti PdPc. Analisa data temu bual menunjukkan murid sekolah menengah mempunyai persepsi yang amat positif terhadap penggunaan permainan Word wall dalam pendidikan Sejarah. Di samping itu, kajian ini juga menunjukkan bahawa penggunaan permainan ini dalam PdPC Sejarah turut mengubah minat dan sikap murid untuk belajar mata pelajaran Sejarah yang amat sinonim sebagai mata pelajaran membosankan dalam kalangan murid sekolah. Aplikasi permainan ini juga berjaya meningkat motivasi intrinsik murid untuk belajar Sejarah. Implikasi kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa permainan Word wall merupakan salah satu permainan teknologi alternatif yang dapat digunakan oleh guru untuk diintegrasikan dalam aktiviti PdPC agar dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan pencapaian Sejarah di sekolah.

Teaching method acts as a fundamental catalyst of engineering the students learning at all levels. The present research explores the effect of lecture and word wall approaches on elementary level students in their academics with respect to their conceptual comprehension. The purpose of the study was pre-testing and post-testing experimental research that is equivalent group, while in the sample of study 50 students from class 5 were divided into two categories: 25 students in control and experimental classes.The data was collected through pretest and posttest in the form of written tests from students on weekly basis, which was analyzed via ANCOVA using SPSS. The results show that a modern teaching method, i.e. the word-wall, and a high conceptual understanding, enhances the performance of students in the experimental group. It also recommended that the students retain academic principles using modern assessment methods, adopt new teaching strategies and provide cognitive training.

إن الأغراض لهذا البحث هي معرفة تحصيل التلاميذ الدراسي قبل استخدام وسيلة الكلمات في اللوح وبعد استخدامه في تعليم الحوار لتلاميذ الصف الثاني في مدرسة العرفان العالية الإسلامية بورواكرتا ومعرفة الأثر من استخدامه إلى ترقية تحصيل التلاميذ الدراسي فيه. والطريقة المستخدمة في هذا البحث هي الطريقة التجريبية بتصميم الاختبار القبلي والاختبار البعدي لمجموعة واحدة. أما الأساليب لجمع البيانات فهي المقابلة والملاحظة والدراسة المكتبية والاختبار. ومن النتائج المحصولة من هذا البحث أن تحصيل التلاميذ الدراسي قبل استخدام وسيلة الكلمات في اللوح حصل على طبقة منخفضة. وهذا كما دلت عليه قيمة المتوسط على قدر 55،04 وتحصيل التلاميذ الدراسي بعد استخدام وسيلة الكلمات في اللوح حصل على طبقة عالية، وهذا كما دلت عليه قيمة المتوسط على قدر 88،06. وإن استخدام وسيلة الكلمات في اللوح في تعليم الحوار يؤثر في ترقية تحصيل التلاميذ الدراسي ومستوى التأثير على قدر 71٪.

Sometimes students experience writing problems, attempt to understand the text and get confused to begin describing because they lack vocabulary and concept. The study was directed at finding out the Word Wall approach introduced in teaching descriptive text to high school vocational learners and finding answers for learners in learning descriptive text to implement the Word Wall approach. The study was carried out at one of Bandung's vocational high schools. In this study, the descriptive qualitative method was used. The research participants are a first-grade teacher and five students. The information was acquired as the study tool by observation and interview. Word wall approach is one of the strategies that can be used in the learning process of teaching. Word Wall approach was a strategy consisting of a group of phrases that placed a distinct background color on the wall that corresponds to a distinct curricular goal. The teacher provides learners with important phrases or clues to readily create their thoughts. The outcome demonstrates that all respondents responded positively to the approach of Word Wall. Implementing Word Wall approach has been useful in teaching for high school vocational learners and makes writing descriptive text enjoyable for learning.

Some of the teacher is having a problem when using discovery learning as a method to improve the vocabulary of a student. Based on the objective of this research, the writer conduct wordwall method on SMP mutiara 1 Bandung that will help on improving student vocabulary, and hopefully it can be applied simultaneously to increase interest in learning especially in English course in SMP Mutiara 1 Bandung. Based on the results of research that has been done by the writer, there are very helpful results in developing the method of Word Wall as a teaching material capable of improving the quality of learning and also can improve students vocabulary. From the test results of normality and homogeneity that the data used is homogeneous and distributed normally, so that the process of the research can be continued as it should be. Keywords:  Vocabulary, Discovery Learning, Wordwall

This study aims to determine the effect of learning strategies (Word Wall Strategy and Dirrect Instruction Strategy) and the student self efficacy toward writing learning outcomes of english study programme Halu Oleo University. This research uses experimental design with a 2x2 treatment by level with sample number of 54 students at English education study programon academic year 2019/2020. The data analysis was done by Analysis of Variance (ANAVA) two lane. The results showed that (1) Word Wall Strategy (WWS) was more effective in improving writing learning outcomes than Dirrect Learning Strategy (DL); (2) there was a significance interaction effect between learning strategies and student's self efficacy toward writing learning outcomes 3) students’ writing learning outcomes who uses Word Wall Strategy are higer than direct instruction strategy with students higher self efficacy, (4) and for students with low self efficacy more appropriate using dirrect Learning strategies (DL).

<p><em>The main problem in this study, along with the COVID-19 pandemic, which has plagued Indonesia for more than a year, has caused various problems and has an impact on various aspects of life, especially in education. To reduce the spread of COVID-19, the government enforces distance learning (PJJ), which also impacts learning Arabic and requires teachers to develop creativity in learning. Using a qualitative field research method, this study aims to determine the creativity of Arabic language teachers in utilizing information technology for distance learning (PJJ) during the covid-19 pandemic. As for some of the media used, such as. Create video content, take advantage of social media, use video conferencing applications such as Zoom and Google Meet to take advantage of educational website services in the form of Google Classroom and Wordwall games. Based on the results of the analysis conducted by the researchers, this study proved that, first, there are various kinds of teacher creativity in learning Arabic online such as interactive multimedia, quizzes with google forms, word wall games, and so on. Second, being able to eliminate student learning boredom by developing teacher creativity based on information technology. Third, it is still necessary to conduct information technology-based creativity development training, especially in learning Arabic, because not all Arabic language teachers can develop information technology-based teaching skills. This study proved that, first, there are various kinds of teacher creativity in learning Arabic online such as interactive multimedia, quizzes with google forms, word wall games, and so on. Application of the word wall  method is one of alternative to improve students Arabic vocabulary. A problem for student of class III A in MI Al-Ba’ats is the low of Arabic vocabulary which has an impact on the students learning outcomes. The aim of this skills research are to improve of students Arabic vocabulary skills by using  word wall media. This research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) with fourth cycles. Each cycles concisted of six phases, which: identification of problems, need assessment, idea, implication, and decision making. The subject of the research are 21 students of the class III A MI Al-Ba’ats. The data sources of the research are the research and students. Data collection techniques are used an observation, an interview, tests and documentation. If the individual completeness reaches ≥ 65 and if value of the whole completeness reaches 75% of the students more than ≥ 65, then it could he said as a complete learning outcomes. The average value of learning outcomes in the pre-action is 62 and the value of the whole completeness is 33.3%. The average value of learning outcomes in the first cycle 69 and the value of the whole completeness is 66.7%. The average value of learning outcomes in the second cycle is 73 and the value of the whole completeness is 85.7%. The average value of learning outcomes in the third cycle is 80 and the value of the whole completeness is 95.2%. The average value of learning outcomes in the fourth cycle is 80.1 and the value of the whole completeness is 95.2%. The conclution of this research is by using word wall media, it can improve students Arabic vocabulary skills at class III A of MI Al-Ba’ats.

The aim of this research was to find out how far the Word Wall to improve students’ vocabulary mastery at SMPN 44 Surabaya. Classroom action research was applied to the 40 students of the class 7-D as the subjects of this research. In applying the Word Wall, there were two cycles applied consisting of three meetings for each cycle. The researcher used the students’ tests result to measure the improvement of their vocabulary achievement. The results of this research showed the increasing students’ vocabulary mastery proven by the results of the tests conducted. Mean of the pre-test was 50 and mean of the post-test in cycle I was increased becoming 70. Then, mean of post-test in cycle II was significantly improved in 93. The research was stopped in the cycle II in regard of the criteria of success was 82.5%. The researcher found out there were a significant students’ vocabulary mastery after implementing the Word Wall. it is recommended English teachers who teach vocabularies should apply the Word Wall Strategy regarding can help students easily to understand the content of the texts. For the students, they can use and have more exercises with the Word Wall to enrich their vocabularies in daily activities. For other researchers, it is suggested to conduct the similar research by exploring the areas of focus in other English skills.
