The development of donation collection and public donation behavior has been increasingly visible since the Covid 19 outbreak spread to various countries in the world, including Indonesia. Optimizing the use of social media for the zakat infaq alms campaign and the use of electronic services for paying zakat infaq alms are two phenomena that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic. The focus of this research is on the determinants of infaq behavior during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially the intention of the Indonesian Muslim community in paying infaq through fundraisers who carry out infaq campaigns on social media. For this reason, the variables of trust in infaq fundraisers who carry out infaq campaigns on social media and attitudes towards online infaq and social media features are used to test their intention to pay infaq. All of these variables were tested using primary data from questionnaires distributed to social media users who are Muslim and live in the DKI Jakarta, Bogor and South Tangerang areas. The PLS SEM analysis technique was used in this study to assess the measurement model, structural model and its predictive relevance. The results showed that trust in infaq fundraisers and attitudes towards online infaq as well as social media features used by infaq fundraisers had a significant effect on their intention to pay infaq through infaq fundraisers who carried out social solidarity campaigns on social media during the Covid-19 pandemic.

[ACCESS RESTRICTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI AT AUTHOR'S REQUEST.] The debate about boundaries in journalism amid the rise of citizen journalism, the crisis of business models in the news industry and the use of social media in the news-gathering and dissemination process, has become a central focus in the media industry and academia. There is no doubt that the digital transition is a trend. Based on the Carlson's (2015) boundaries of journalism theory and Shoemaker and Vos' (2009) levels of analysis in the gatekeeping theory, administering a cross-sectional, self-administered questionnaire, national online survey (N=1063), conducting a Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis, the study seeks to find out the relationships between socialization and perceptions of digital impact on journalism, journalists and news organizations. The findings showed news organizations' social media culture affects journalists' use of social media. Twitter interactivity mediates journalists' social media internalization and their attitude toward social media. However, this mediating effects does not apply to Facebook and other social media interactivity. The distinguishing line between reporters and editors is blurring in news organizations. Older journalists (age>40) are picking up social media as additional journalistic tools and developing a positive attitude toward them. However, there still may be a long way to go before old journalists become experts in social media.

Purpose The diffusion of social media among public administrations has significantly grown in the last years. This phenomenon has created a field of research that seeks to understand the adoption and impact of social media in the public sector. The purpose of this paper is to identify the factors that make social media successful in Spanish local governments. Design/methodology/approach The paper is based on an adapted version of a neo-institutional model: Enacting Electronic Government Success (EEGS). The data have been collected through three main sources: primary data from a questionnaire designed and conducted by the authors, secondary data of statistical sources, and tertiary data collected through Klout Score. Findings The results from a survey and statistical analysis provide preliminary validation of the model and show a direct relationship between organizational, institutional, and environmental factors with the successful use of social media in local public administrations. The data analysis shows that ten variables jointly explain 54.6 percent (adjusted R2=0.546) of the variability observed in the dependent variable. Research limitations/implications First, the analysis model used represents a limited sample size to carry out a complex quantitative analysis. Second, the use of Klout Scores can offer some bias. Finally, certain variables complicate the comparative potential of the study. Originality/value This study provides original primary data and contributes to the growing field of study related to social technologies in public administrations. This research also confirms in an exploratory way the validity of the EEGS model.

The objective of this paper was to empirically examine the influence of perceived capability, perceived government support and religiosity as determinants of attitude towards Zakat in Nigeria. A survey questionnaire was administered on government employees and 343 valid observations were retrieved and analyzed from the survey. The PLS analysis technique was used to assess the measurement model, the structural model as well as the predictive relevance of the model of the study. The outcome of the examination disclosed the appropriateness of the model of the study as well as the analytical tool utilized. The postulated relationships were all supported. Thus, the findings, if utilized in developing policies for strengthening the attitude of employees towards Zakat, will boost Zakat collections, since a positive attitude leads to improved collections. The study establishes the efficacy and the suitability of its model on factors influencing the attitude of employees towards Zakat in Nigeria.
