This study aims to discusses abpout the development strategy for the Tanjung Palette Tourism Area This study used a qualitative approach using the Kearns SWOT matrix. The result of the study The Tanjung Palette tourism area certainly has a very complex environment in it. Especially the cultural climate that local people with foreign cultures enter through foreign tourists. Therefore, environmental management, both physical and cultural, must be an important concern for all interested parties. Development of Tourist Market Share The development of tourist market share is an effort to identify the wants / needs of tourism consumers, determine the products offered, determine prices, promote, and research tourism market share.

A reflexão sobre as práticas ambientais, em um contexto marcado pela degradação permanente do meio ambiente e do seu ecossistema, tem exigido novas posturas das organizações. Contudo, adotar a gestão ambiental como estratégia de desenvolvimento, contempla as necessidades das organizações em aliar crescimento econômico e sustentabilidade. Neste sentido, este artigo tem como objetivo identificar se existe a preocupação com as questões ambientais por parte das organizações da região da Quarta Colônia e se as mesmas adotam programas de gestão ambiental, analisando fatores que podem influenciar nas diferentes abordagens dadas ao tema. Para atingir o objetivo proposto, utilizou-se uma abordagem qualitativa em um estudo considerado exploratório e compreendido como estudo de caso. A amostra foi de cinco organizações da Região da Quarta Colônia onde foram realizadas visitas técnicas e entrevistas semi-estruturadas. Como resultado significativo do estudo, pôde se constatar que as organizações estudadas limitam-se apenas às exigências da legislação ambiental em vigor. Assim as organizações necessitam adotar novas posturas e um processo de atualização contínua que pode ser viabilizado pela gestão ambiental. Abstract The reflection about environmental practices, in a context marked by permanent degradation of the environment and its ecosystem, has required new strategies from the organizations. However, adopting environmental management as a development strategy satisfies the organizations needs to gather economic growth and sustainability. Thus, this paper aims on identifying whether the organizations from the Quarta Colonia Region are concerned about environmental issues and whether they adopt environmental management programs, analyzing aspects which can influence the different approaches applied to this issue. In order to reach such aim, a qualitative approach was used in a study considered exploratory and comprised as a case study. The sample consisted of five organizations from the Quarta Colonia Region where there were technical visits and semi-structured interviews. A relevant result of the study was that it was possible to observe that the studied organizations are restricted only to the operative environmental law requirements. Thus, organizations ought to adopt new emplacements and a continuous updating process, which can become viable through the environmental management. This article analisys tourism development strategy of Talaud regency, North Sulawesi Province. This regency has a great tourism potential but faces vaious problems. Its tourism potentials is evidenced from the diversity of the natural, culture, and man made tourism attractions. The great tourism potential has not been able to make Talaud widely known by tourists. As the outermost regions, the problems of accessibility are the main obstacles faced by the region of Talaud Islands. Other obstacles such as limited electricity and telecommunication access, and the lack of supporting facilities of tourism activities, have an impact, on the slow development of tourism potential in Talaud. Stages in the research were: described the potentials of tourism, then explained the obstacles that hinder the potential, and finally formulated strategies for the development of tourism potentials. SWOT matrix analysis is used to find the strategies to develop the tourism potential in Talaud. S-O strategy includes the development strategy of attraction. S-T strategy is the institutional strategy. W-O strategy includes the development strategy of public facilities and the supporting facilities at each tourist attraction. W-T strategy includes the making of programs intended for the community participation.

This study aimed to analyze the development strategy of business and goat milk processing in the Goatzilla Farm, Lumajang, East Java. This research was descriptive. Methods of data by surveys using questionnaires. Data were analyzed by SWOT matrix to find out opportunities and threats in Goatzilla Farm. The results of the study used SWOT analysis. Alternative strategies recommendated in the Goatzilla Farm were SO strategies (Strength Opportunities), namely comparative strategy primacy, efficiency and internal development, and information technology to improve product quality. The results of the study showed to need cooperation with the government, farmers, and distribution networks to provide raw materials and increased product sales. The threat of Goatzilla Farm needed to watch out for was licensing which was processed immediately to support a bargaining position. There was no sufficient licensing, it could threat the sustainability of the business.

Bogor Regency of West Java Province that is developing the potential of its territory for tourist destination and attract the attention of local and foreign tourists to visit. The location that researcher has been choosed to do research is Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng which is located in Bogor regency. Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng located in the village of Cihideung Udik, Ciampea District has a tourism concept based on nature tourism and educational tourism. The purpose of this research are to identify the development component of the destination (factual conditions in the field), identify the tourist tipology who visit Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng and develop strategies Kampoeng Tourism Development Cinangneng based on tourist tipology. This research is a descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative research. Quantitative research is conducted to determine the tourist characteristics and tourist tipology that calculated by used percentages. Qualitative research is conducted to find out the development strategy in Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng. Generally qualitative research method is intended for research that is observed case. The collected data will be analyzed using SWOT analysis, followed by compiling alternative strategies using SWOT matrix. Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng has a good enough strength to be developed based on the tourist tipology, but the nature and culture of the existing tourism has not been maximally utilized, although it has a good accessibility, less complete amenitas, condition of supporting facilities is complete enough. The result of typology is that tourists who visit Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng tend to mid-centric tipology. Based on the results of SWOT analysis bring out an alternative strategy that is: Invite local people to teach tourists to make souvenirs that them make, adding outbound packages to be variants that can be offered to tourists, make a places to eat in the middle of rice field with food from local community.

Abstract Forest has various sources that can be utilized and honey is one of the non-timber forest products produced from Trigona sp beekeeping at SMKN 4 Luwu. This research is intended to describe the Trigona sp beekeeping business and identify the internal and external factors as the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges from beekeeping business and so it can be formulated a good strategy to be carried out with using SWOT matrix. The analysis result shown the Strength, Weakness, Opportunity Threats. The alternative strategy that can be applied to develop the beekeeping business based on the analysis result of SWOT which dealing with the government for capital support, deligating the members to participate in beekeeping training, the availability of sustainable feed sources, utilizing the modern technology, using the compelling packaging, implementing the SOP in the packaging process so that the packaging is more hygienic, increasing the production volume, selling with competitive price, marketing the products through technology and keeping the school environment safety by installing the CCTV in the area of beekeeping business.

This requires an organization to be able to compete by always paying attention to the user's condition. Development strategy is one way to find out competitiveness in each of its power lines. To deal with user competition, especially in the face of global users, an organization must be able to establish a method as the basic foundation for the formulation of development strategies by increasing the value of competitiveness for its output or services. This strategy needs to be involved using the SWOT method as the main method to increase output, internal and external factors become the initial steps to carry out strategies to optimize business to achieve success. The use of an effective SWOT analysis can play an important role in determining the development strategy, in order to know the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats faced by the company in maintaining the survival and continuity of the organization. The problem that the answer in this research is looking for is whether the SWOT analysis is the right strategy to increase output in the organization and how the development strategy applied by the organization in overcoming global friendships. In connection with these problems the following hypothesis is proposed: It is suspected that using a SWOT analysis can increase output so that the organization experiences a profit (surplus). This study uses primary data by providing questionnaires and secondary data to obtain archives or documents. In line with the problem and the research hypothesis, this study was conducted using the IFAS analysis method to analyze internal factors, EFAS analysis for external factors, then, included in the quantitative model, namely the SWOT matrix. The results of the analysis show that, using IFAS and EFAS analysis and using SWOT analysis shows the position of the organization in cell 2, the strategy chosen to support the achievement of the objectives of the organization is ST strategy.Keywords: SWOT, Strategy, Product Marketing, Business.

Pengembangan sektor perikanan dapat diintegrasikan dengan sektor pariwisata (mina wisata), dengan ragam kegiatan wisata di dalamnya. Mina Wisata merupakan aktifitas wisata yang berbasis pada kegiatan perikanan, seperti penangkapan, budidaya, pengolahan dan pemasaran. Tidar Dudan merupakan salah satu wilayah di Kota Magelang dengan keberadaan potensi perikanan yang dapat diintegrasikan dengan pariwisata dan menjadi tujuan (destinasi) Mina Wisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kegiatan mina wisata yang dapat dimunculkan di Tidar Dudan beserta pengembangan produknya. Selain itu, dapat dirumuskan strategi pengembangan mina wisata di Tidar Dudan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan strategi pengembangan dianalisis menggunakan matriks SWOT. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan diskusi terarah dengan responden penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Mina Wisata di Tidar Dudan menjadi paket wisata minat khusus dengan daya tarik utama berupa outbond bertema perikanan, didukung keberadaan kompleks kolam budidaya dan alam perairan sungai yang ada. Produk mina wisata dapat dikembangkan dalam paket wisata Agro Education dan Susur Kampung Wisata. Strategi pengembangan mina wisata di Tidar Dudan antara lain dengan pengembangan paket mina wisata berbasis tematik dan lintas wilayah, pembenahan kelengkapan fasilitas dan aksesibilitas, pemasaran dan promosi produk mina wisata yang atraktif dan efektif, peningkatan investasi serta penguatan kapasitas pengelola wisata dan kelembagaan yang ada. The development of the fisheries sector can be integrated with the fisheries tourism sector (mina wisata), with a variety of tourism activities in it. Mina Wisata is a tourism activity based on fishery activities, like catching, aquaculturing, processing and marketing. Tidar Dudan is one of the areas in Magelang with the existence of fishery potential which can be integrated with tourism and to become the destination of fisheries tourism. This study aimed to determine the profile of tourism activities that can be raised in Tidar Dudan and its product development. In addition, this can be formulated a tourism development strategy in Tidar Dudan. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method with the development strategy analyzed using the SWOT matrix. The data were obtained through observation, interviews and focused discussions group with respondents. The results show that Mina Wisata in Tidar Dudan became a special interest tour package, with the main atraction in the form of outbound tourism with the theme of fisheries, supported by the existence of fish farming complex and existing rivers. Mina Wisata product can be developed in Agro Education and village exploration tour. The strategy for developing mina wisata in Tidar Dudan includes a development of thematic and cross-regional based tourism packages, improving facilities and accessibility, marketing and promoting attractive and effective tourism products, increasing investment and strengthening the capacity of tourism managers and existing institutions.

This study aims to determine strategies and policies to accelerate the development of the West Coast District which is one of the underdeveloped areas in Indonesia. The SWOT analysis tool is one of the tools that can be used to develop a strategy through three stages: input, incorporation, decision. The analytical tools used in this study are the IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation) matrix, the EFE (External Factor Evaluation) matrix, and the Strength-Weakness-Opportunity-Threats (SWOT) matrix. The result of the research shows that the development strategy of underdeveloped areas in Pesisir Barat Regency is prioritized by using information technology, including to support tourism development in Pesisir Barat Regency.

This study is set forth from the existence of pesantren as the oldest educational institution in Indonesia which plays a central role within the socio-cultural environment construction of Indonesian society. In order to exist, today, the pesantren should be able to develop its intitution yet still maintaining its originality as the characteritics of the pesantren itself. The development strategy could be initiated through self-sustaining efforts which in fact bring a positive impact for pesantren. On the other hand, financial problems often threatens the existence of pesantren. The purpose of this research is to investigate the condition of boarding school Ar-Risalah Cijantung IV and economic initiatives developed by the boarding school. This research is a case study by employing qualitative approach. Data collecting techiques are done by interviews, observation and document study. The study found that economic initiatives that is conducted by the pesantren are livestock breeding, fishery, mining, agriculture and waste processing. Those initiatives have a positive impact on pesantren because they serve as other funding sources to support pesantren development without fully depend on government support. Those businesses also brought a positive impact for the community in the surrounding pesantren.

The aims of this study are to identify both internal and external factors of agribusiness in PT Lentera Panen Mandiri (PT LPM), map the company’s position, and determine its development strategy. Main data used in this study is primary data obtained from stakeholders of PT LPM by direct interview. Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat (SWOT) of soybean agribusiness in PT LPM were identified in this study and followed by determining the company’s position using SWOT diagram. Alternative srategies were derived from the SWOT matrix and prioritized using Quantitative Strategies Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis. The results of this study identified 5 strengths, 7 weaknesses, 9 opportunities, and 6 threaths with the highest factors consisted as "company's commitment to supervise and foster farmers and suppliers", "is time-consuming sorting process and potency of mixed between rice and soybean", "opportunity to increase the  productivity of soybean at farmer level ", and "uncommit suppliers to supply only from areas that have been approved by the company" respectively. Based on the  SWOT diagram, soybean agribussiness in PT LPM positioned in Quadrant I, which mean that the company should apply Agressive Strategy or Strength – Opportunity (S-O) strategy. Based on the SWOT Matrix, 5 alternative of S-O strategies were derived. Based on the QSPM analysis, strategy for guarding and coaching farmers through patnership scheme is the first priority with Total Attarctive Score (TAS) is 12.9.
