Many religions aim to organize social life. While social rules that individuals must obey are accepted as a part of religion, transferring these rules to individuals is also accepted as the duty of religious education. Because the task of religious education is to teach not only the theological and metaphysical aspects of religion but also the rules of moral and social behavior. Having a healthy social life, creating a sense of national unity and solidarity, contributing to social peace, learning social ethics and values mostly depends on the religious education they receive. At this point, non-formal and formal religious education institutions, which are the most effective institutions for individuals to acquire the right attitudes and behaviors, become more important. For this reason, it is important to examine the contribution and effect of religious education on social life scientifically.

National educational orientations that tend to ignore the development of value dimension have inflicted students both individually and collectively. The problem that arises is that the students will know much about anything but they are lack of system of values, attitudes, interests and positive appreciation of what they know. The students will experience an unbalanced intellectual development compared to their maturity of personality, wherein this condition can bring out a figure who is less concerned with the surrounding environment and susceptible to distortion of value. As a result, the students will practice moral offense easily, because the value system that should become a benchmark for standardized everyday behaviors is not so sturdy. By reflecting on the limited efforts of the educational institutions to equip the students with moral values nowadays, a number of people committed to providing character education. Character education as a part of religious education aims to develop values, attitudes and behaviors of students who bring out noble characters.

Traditionally, public administration has always preferred to work behind closed doors. However, the concept of participatory democracy, which developed especially after the 1950s, encouraged citizens to participate more in the decision-making mechanisms of the state. Turkey experiences many problems in exercising the right to information, which was enacted in 2003, arising from the administration's attitudes and behaviors and also from the legislation. Foremost among these are the fact that citizens have not been made sufficiently aware of this right and that the administration is reluctant to share information. An analysis of the data and statistics in Turkey shows a rising trend in the exercise of this right by citizens between 2004-2015. However, considering the size of Turkey's population, the rate can still be deemed low. Post-2015 figures show a radical decline in citizens' exercising of the right to information. This situation may be explained by the painful process that Turkey experienced from 2015 onwards and the state of emergency implementations that followed.

Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski in Defense of the Rights of the Nation The impulse to refer to the personal exemplar of Primate Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński and his teachings about the nation and family are the tendencies of moral relativism present in social life, resulting from the belief that only effectiveness and practical usefulness determine what is true and what is good. Seeing in this the threat of a return to „the only right and true doctrine”, which in truth is no longer the ideology of Marxism-Leninism, but destructive views opposing national culture, I consider it justified to recall one of the most outstanding Poles of the 20th century, for whom the good of Poland and Poles were the primary defense of human rights and the right of the nation to independence and justice. He tried to bring to light those values inherent in the nation that could effectively resist these growing threats. These defenses were cited as particularly valuable for the life of the nation and the Church in a totalitarian state that is striving to objectify and incapacitate the individual. However, faith combined with the morality of the Nation formed by the Church contributed to the maintenance of national unity and allowed it to survive in the conditions of communist restrictions. In order to release the Nation from the supremacy of communist ideology, the Primate of the Millennium did not hesitate to confront this system. Even his arrest and imprisonment did not discourage him from serving God and the Homeland. His nobility of heart, bravery of spirit and determination to defend the rights of the nation made him a hero who will not be forgotten!

Indonesia has experienced religious conflicts and brought about alarming humanitarian impacts. The horizontal conflict has pushed into the joints of destroying the pillars of the nation's integrity. Moreover, conflict destroys harmony, therefore the author's aim was to describe pluralism through the perspective of Christian religious education as an effort to bring generations to continue to build the nation and maintain its integrity. The writing of this article used a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach related to the sociology of religious pluralism in the perspective of Christian religious education as an effort to build national unity. The findings of this study are firstly the sociology of pluralism starting from recognizing and understanding the nature of pluralism and understanding all the values of pluralism. Second, all believers, especially teachers and students, see and understand that pluralism in the concept of Christian Religious Education is not contradictory to what is done by people and organizations that promote pluralism, but it needs to be emphasized that pluralism in agreement is only to maintain and build the integrity of the nation. Third, on this basis, Christianity, in this case the role of Christian religious education, must be actualized in social life in pluralism.

The purpose of this study is to obtain a formula for Islamic Education in the perspective of al quran. The results of the study found that Character in an Islamic perspective is nothing but morality. Noble character is the fruit that results from the process of applying sharia (worship and muamalah) which is based on a solid foundation of aqeedah. Like a building, character or morals are the perfection of the building after the foundation and the building are strong. It is impossible for a character or noble character to manifest in someone if he does not have the right aqeedah and sharia. A Muslim who has true aqeedah or faith will surely manifest in attitudes and behaviors in daily life based on his faith. For example, people who have good and true faith in Allah SWT, he will always obey and carry out all His commands and stay away from all His prohibitions. He will always do good and stay away from things that are prohibited (bad). Faith is not only to Allah SWT, but also to angels, books, Apostles and so on will make their attitudes and behavior directed and controlled, so that they will manifest noble character or character. The same thing happened in the case of sharia implementation. All Islamic sharia provisions lead to the realization of noble character or character

This article is motivated by the concern of the phenomenon of religious-based intolerance and radicalism in Indonesia. Perpetrators of these attitudes and behaviors occur in many educational settings by educated individuals. There have been cases where radicalism happens because schools are developing religious education, which is exclusive and not open to pluralism in society. Therefore, this article develops ideas/thoughts about schools and Catholic Religious Education (CRE) relevant in the context of pluralism in Indonesia to prevent religious intolerance and radicalism. Schools can be pluralism-friendly homes by making them a positive space for diversity and a place for humanist dialogical education. In Indonesian pluralism, Catholic Religious Education helps students know their religious faith and get to know other religions, have a dialogue with the truths of other religions, and even learn from other religions. PAK in the Indonesian context must contribute to building the personality and attitude of students who are inclusive, dialogical, humanist, and fair. CRE should not be used as an apologetic tool for the sake of defending the truth of Catholicism narrowly and exclusively. Through CRE, students are helped to become individuals and Indonesians who are tolerant, fair, and dignified

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is a global problem for humans today. There are some hypotheses and analyses regarding the cause of the pandemic, including the ecological problem (environmental damage) which is considered as one of the biggest contributing factors. The natural imbalance and environmental damage are an undeniable reality in today’s life. The theological understanding of humans as imago Dei who has the right to conquer and control nature exacerbates the ecological problems and increases humans’ disharmony with nature. This paper invites the readers to understand the context of this pandemic as an effort to reflect on discriminatory theological views of nature which lead to irresponsible human attitudes and behaviors. In this regard, this paper offers a theological understanding which recognizes relational justice and harmony with nature. This paper also provides an explanation of the relation between COVID-19 and ecological issues, as well as theological views that trigger humans’ destructive attitudes and behaviors towards nature. Moreover, this paper offers solutions to transform the crisis through theological paradigms which become theological ethics, in order to establish the relation between justice and harmony with nature.
