This research is motivated by the importance of knowledge about alternative pest control that is safe but still supports the achievement of maximum oil palm production so that the balance of the oil palm plantation ecosystem can occur. The purpose of this study is to determine the technical cultivation and benefits of the Turnera subulata flower as a host plant for predators and parasitoids that function as biological agents for caterpillars and can be a reference for controlling caterpillar pests that are safe and still support the achievement of maximum oil palm production. The method used in this research is field observation and documentation from the company. The scope of this research covers the technical aspects of the biological control of caterpillars. This research data uses primary data and secondary data obtained from field observations and literature studies in the form of company reports in the form of percentages. The realization of Turnera subulata planting reached 21,659 m on CR road and 19,914 m on MR road. The planned planting of Turnera subulata is 57,200 m on the CR road and 45,823 m on the MR road. For the realization of the planting of Turnera subulata itself using seeds that are ready for planting. To obtain the seedling, the company conducts its nurseries. The seedling technique was done using the stem cutting technique. The stems for the cutting technique were taken from the Turnera subulata plant stems that have grown large. The type of stem taken is the old Turnera subulata plant stem. For seed care, the seeds are always watered every morning and evening like other flower plants. For the natural enemy insects, been proven that there are 6 natural enemy insects associated with Turnera subulata plants, 3 predators, and 3 parasitoids, each with a large enough number of insects. The types are Eocanthecona furcellata, Cosmolestes sp., Sycannus dichotomus, Spinaria spinator, Fornicia sp., and Chaetexorista javana. The development and the implementation of a control system are by optimizing the conservation and utilization of these biological control agents is a wise step to obtain an effective, efficient and environmentally friendly technique for controlling caterpillars. The presence of Turnera subulata plants can be used to suppress the development of pests in oil palm plantations by increasing the potential for natural enemies, both predators, and parasitoids. The diversity of wild plants with flowers can increase the variety of insects so that the balance of the ecosystem occurs.

This study aims to explain the implementation of weighing oil palm fruit in Nagari Talao Sungai Kunyit in terms of positive law and fiqh muamalah. This research is a field research. Data were obtained in two ways, namely secondary data and primary data. The primary data are toke (collectors), oil palm farmers and the Head of the Cooperative and Industry Office of South Solok Regency, while the secondary data sources are the profile of Nagari Talao Sungai Kunyit, Nagari year-end reports and Indonesian legislation. This study found that the implementation of weighing in the sale and purchase of oil palm fruit in Nagari Talao was carried out with containers made of wood that were rarely arranged, so that many “brondol” (small) palm fruit fell. Oil palm fruit that falls from the container is not counted in the scales, as a result of farmers' losses. In fact, the number of “brondol” (small) palm oil that has fallen is quite a lot. In positive law, the implementation of weighing selling oil palm fruit in Nagari Talao is not in accordance with the provisions of Article 25 and Article 28 of Law Number 2 of 1981 concerning Legal Metrology, Article 2 of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 68 of 2018 concerning UTTP Calibration and Re-calibration and Article 8 of Law -Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. In this explanation, it is explained that the weighing in buying and selling will not harm either party and the scales used must be recalibrated once a year. As for the implementation of fiqh muamalah muamalah in Islam, namely injustice to fellow humans, and there is no fraud (gharar) and elements of coercion (al-ikrah).

This study aims to analyze the sustainability of community oil palm plantations based on index assessment using the Rap-Palmoil method through the Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) method. Multidimensional analysis of MDS in terms of economic, social, environmental, institutional, and technological dimensions as aspects examined in this study. This research was conducted in two regencies of oil palm plantations in a broad area of land in Jambi Province, namely Muaro Jambi Regency and Merangin Regency. The data used are primary and secondary data, primary data are obtained from interviews with farmers while secondary data are obtained from the Central Statistics Agency, Plantation Service, and literature that supports this research. Respondents in this study were 99 farmers selected purposively. The results of the multidimensional sustainability analysis of the Jambi Province oil palm plantation sustainability index were 57,79 included in the quite sustainable category. While the results of the sustainability index analysis for the five dimensions are 54,11 (economy), 66,83 (social), 58,64 (environmental), 46,40 (institutional), 59,02 (technology). All dimensions are overall included in the "moderately sustainable" category except the institutional dimension in the "less sustainable" category. The sustainability of oil palm plantations in each dimension has a different sustainability index so that different policies are needed to evaluate the sustainability of community oil palm plantations in Jambi Province.
