This research is based on the background that oil palm plantations are a form of community farming that cultivates oil palm plants with production in the form of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) as one of their sources of livelihood, although investment in oil palm plantations requires a relatively long period of time compared to oil palm plantations. with other plantation commodities. The purpose of this study was to determine the oil palm farming business in Saliki Village based on FFB production and palm oil prices. The data collection method used in this study is a qualitative method, which is a research that is used if the research factors cannot be quantified or cannot be calculated so that the variables cannot be expressed with numbers such as perceptions, opinions, assumptions and so on. According to qualitative research theory, in order for the research to be of really high quality, the data collected must be complete, namely primary data and secondary data. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that oil palm farming in Saliki Village based on the production of fresh fruit bunches and the price of palm oil really helps farmers increase their income from farming by selling large quantities of produce and high selling prices. The income they generate from oil palm plantations can meet their daily needs. In addition, the community (oil palm farmers) can buy vehicles, renovate and even build houses from the results of the oil palm plantations. The results of this study are to provide information to the community in Saliki Village in order to be able to improve oil palm farming.

This research is motivated by the processing of palm oil, transportation factors get special attention. The transportation of palm fruit from the garden to the factory should be as fast as possible so that thefruit harvested today can be processed directly so that free fatty acids are not high. Extensive oil palmplantations and garden conditions far from the factory, it will be more difficult to regulate the entry ofFresh Fruit Bunches (TBS) to the Palm Oil Factory (PKS), so that the company must have a goodmanagement system that can run effectively and efficiently so that it needs proper transportation forperushan so that it can transport all tbs harvested by minimizing time, cost and maintain the quality ofTBS.From the description above, the formula that can be formulated in this study is to know the time oftransportation, the needs of transport equipment and what obstacles are encountered at the time of TBStransportation. While the limitations of the problem there is tbs transport research contained in fadelingBrafo, Alfah and Delta with different distances (near, medium and farthest). The purpose of this researchis to know the process of planning the needs of TBS conveyances, as well as knowing the obstacleswhen transporting TBS.The results of research conducted at PT. Berau Karetindo Lestari shows that tbs transportationplanning includes the production of TBS per day, TBS transport time, availability of conveyance, transportation needs and constraints in transportation. In Bravo afdeling requires 2 units of tarktor, forafdeling Alfah 4 units taktor, and afdeling Delta requires 3 units of tractor. As for the needs of the truckon Loading ramp 1 as many as 10 units and Loading ramp 2 to 8 units. This is obtained after calculatingthe number of transport equipment needs to transport TBS every day. For the overall needs of thecompany, tractors are needed as many as 17 and DT as many as 18 units. As for the obstacles at thetime of tbs transportation, namely, the road conditions in TPH are not good and the distance of thefactory is so far that it takes so much time to get to the factory.

This research is motivated by the importance of knowledge about alternative pest control that is safe but still supports the achievement of maximum oil palm production so that the balance of the oil palm plantation ecosystem can occur. The purpose of this study is to determine the technical cultivation and benefits of the Turnera subulata flower as a host plant for predators and parasitoids that function as biological agents for caterpillars and can be a reference for controlling caterpillar pests that are safe and still support the achievement of maximum oil palm production. The method used in this research is field observation and documentation from the company. The scope of this research covers the technical aspects of the biological control of caterpillars. This research data uses primary data and secondary data obtained from field observations and literature studies in the form of company reports in the form of percentages. The realization of Turnera subulata planting reached 21,659 m on CR road and 19,914 m on MR road. The planned planting of Turnera subulata is 57,200 m on the CR road and 45,823 m on the MR road. For the realization of the planting of Turnera subulata itself using seeds that are ready for planting. To obtain the seedling, the company conducts its nurseries. The seedling technique was done using the stem cutting technique. The stems for the cutting technique were taken from the Turnera subulata plant stems that have grown large. The type of stem taken is the old Turnera subulata plant stem. For seed care, the seeds are always watered every morning and evening like other flower plants. For the natural enemy insects, been proven that there are 6 natural enemy insects associated with Turnera subulata plants, 3 predators, and 3 parasitoids, each with a large enough number of insects. The types are Eocanthecona furcellata, Cosmolestes sp., Sycannus dichotomus, Spinaria spinator, Fornicia sp., and Chaetexorista javana. The development and the implementation of a control system are by optimizing the conservation and utilization of these biological control agents is a wise step to obtain an effective, efficient and environmentally friendly technique for controlling caterpillars. The presence of Turnera subulata plants can be used to suppress the development of pests in oil palm plantations by increasing the potential for natural enemies, both predators, and parasitoids. The diversity of wild plants with flowers can increase the variety of insects so that the balance of the ecosystem occurs.

The objective of the research is to evaluate the quality of harvesting oil palm fresh fruit bunches (FFB) correlated to the harvest system implemented by two afdelings in the oil palm plantation company, PT. Sentosa Kalimantan Jaya. The research employs descriptive design, with qualitative approach, purposive sampling and snowball sampling using questionnaires, and documentation. The research reveals that the characteristics of harvesters from two afdelings are dominated from the productive age and educated at elementary school. The harvesters in afdeling 2 have more experience than afdeling 4. Afdeling 2 provides better quality of FFB than afdeling 4, it comprises ripe fruit was 86.91%, abnormal was 1.07% and long stalk was 0%. Meanwhile, afdeling 4 comprises raw fruit was 1.32%, ripe fruit was 79.97%, and over ripe fruit was 12.88%. Both afdelings have permanent design of harvest system comprise the percentage of loose fruit, sengkleh stems, under pruning and over pruning which are beneath the standard. The under pruning interferes the process of cutting fruit, meanwhile the over pruning would potentially be able to reduce average bunches weight and produce male flowers dominantly. As a result, it can be deduced that the main factor affects the quality of permanent design of harvest system, and the quality of oil palm fresh fruit bunches is the harvesters’ experience of work. Afdeling 2 has 6 harvesters working for >5 years or 46.2%. The overall findings reveal that the longer harvester's working period, the labor productivity of harvesting oil palm will increase.
