A company’s condition and its role in the competitive market largely depends on its ability to react to the various impacts, cuased by entrernal and external environment. This paper reveals the results of SWOT analysis conducted to the Kazakhstani metals company. Based on the findings of the research a number of recommendations to the company management were developed. The paper is of scientific and pratical value, since the company has never applied the SWOT analysis before to develop a strategic plan. Moreover, this research contributes with the real case-study of the domestic company, the results of which could be applied to other sectors manufacturers. Discovered strong and weak charaterisitcs, risks and opportunities of the company lead to the development of suggestions to the management for further strategic plan development and to focus on marketing activities. Previously to this paper, financial condition of the company has been comprehensively analyzed and organizational structure thorouly studied. Состояние компании и ее роль на конкурентном рынке во многом зависят от ее способности реагировать на различные воздействия, обусловленные внутренней и внешней средой. В данной статье раскрываются результаты SWOT-анализа, проведенного для казахстанской металлопромышленной компании. На основе результатов проведенного исследования был разработан ряд рекомендаций руководству компании. Исследование имеет научную и практическую ценность, поскольку компания никогда ранее не применяла SWOT-анализ для разработки стратегического плана. Более того, поскольку это реальный кейс-стади отечественной компании, результаты исследованиямогут быть применены и к другим отраслевым производителям страны. Выявленные сильные и слабые характеристики, риски и возможности компании приводят к выработке предложений руководству по дальнейшей разработке стратегического плана и сосредоточению внимания на маркетинговой деятельности. Ранее автором было всесторонне проанализировано финансовое состояние компании и детально изучена ее организационная структура.

Abstract Strategic development and planning predetermine all the major fields of activities. Marketing activities are the key tool of communication with a company’s customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. Nowadays, short but informative presentation solutions are becoming more attractive and popular. Companies are using more visuals with a short text in their communication channels as well as in building strategies. One of the tools is the one-page strategic plan (OPSP). The research problem of the paper is how to develop a strategy in its compressed version for the organisation that can have a format which is easy-to-understand and communicate. The paper aims to propose the OPSP model for the Aarong company, which should include both the commercial and non-profit activities. As a research method, the case study of Aarong company was chosen, using the secondary data. The proposed OPSP for Aarong company clearly showed the connections of all key elements of a strategic plan. The practical implications of using the OPSP tool in the Aarong company are clearly visible in terms of synthesis of a complicated strategic plan and having an attractive form of the company strategy for the external communication.

In this paper, a quantitative multicriteria futuristic fuzzy decision hierarchy (MFFDH)-based SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis has been carried out to determine priorities among significant factors related to tourism's internal and external environment. In MFFDH model, the fuzzy logic is combined with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to overcome the uncertainty in decision making process. The utilization of MFFDH with SWOT yields analytically determined priorities for the factors included in SWOT analysis and makes them more commensurable. The hybrid method has been applied in connection with a case study on tourism industry in Agra (India) and result indicates that the factors related to tourism's internal environment (strengths and weaknesses) are relatively more important than external factors (opportunities and threats). In addition, strengths group turned out to have the highest priorities while threats group have the lowest priorities.

This research was conducted to compare SWOT and SPACE analysis in setting business strategy and formulate an appropriate functional strategy for corporations based on the internal and external environment of the company. The necessary data in this study were obtained through the dissemination of questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observations directly to the company then analyzed using the case study method. The results in this study indicate that the alternative strategy of SWOT analysis is better to apply for the company than the analysis of SPACE. Then using QSPM matrix that retrieved the most appropriate business strategies for companies based on their environment is an extension of the market both in the geographic or demographic.Key words : Business strategy, SWOT and SPACE analysis, Outsourcing companies

In current business practice, an integration between business and IT is important. Enterprise Architecture (EA) is one of the study that synergize IT and business. The principle will be use as the main base to designing appropriate EA. Before describing these principles, it is necessary to understand the real state of a company. It aims to make the situation as one as of benchmarks to describing state of the target. After designing state of the target, it will make processes of designing EA for a company is easier. This paper will use the SWOT analysis method to recognize their core competencies in order to determine the direction of an organization by analysing and positioning the organization’s resource and environment on four regions : Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. After an SWOT assessment, a mapping obtained wich that determines which quadrant position of the company. Every quadrant position will describe different strategies each other. From the obtained strategy, it will be describing target principles according to the position of a company based on the SWOT analysis. So the design EA for a company can start with a precise principles foundations.

In this study, Kayseri Airport, which operates under Dhmi in Kayseri, is discussed within the scope of SWOT analysis. As a result, the most powerful aspect of Kayseri Airport is its proximity to the city, and the weakest dimension of Kayseri Airport is the low frequency of flights during the daytime. The outstanding features of Kayseri Airport regarding the opportunities arising from the external environment are tourism potential of the city, transport modes supporting each other, investments around the airport, supporting civil aviation nationwide, development of trade volume of the city. The most important feature of Kayseri Airport regarding the threats arising from the external environment are that it is not seen as a direct departure/destination point for international flights and distorted construction around the airport land.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, e-commerce and social media pervade people’s daily life, while offline businesses suffer from loss from traffic. In this paper the SWOT analysis method is employed to examine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for RED, which, as one of the top content social e-commerce platforms in China, achieves outstanding performance under the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper tackles RED’s unique marketing and operating strategies, as well as its weaknesses that relate to operation and costs, and threats that relate to competitors and commercialization. Beside these disadvantages, profitable opportunities also arise from internal and external environment. At the end, the paper provides suggestions for capturing profitable opportunities under the pandemic and Chinese new regulations on cross-border e-commerce.

This study aims to analyze how strategic management in the Firta Collection Boutique to develop its business, especially in providing services to customers. The method used in this research is a qualitative method that includes Marketing Mix (4P Analysis) and SWOT Analysis, to find out what external factors are opportunities or threats to the Firta Collection Boutique. The results of the study show that the strategies adopted by the Firta Collection Boutique are still inappropriate and need to use other strategies. Changes in the external environment have continued to increase so that it is an opportunity and anticipates threats by utilizing strengths and minimizing weaknesses by innovating and improving approaches and gaining customer trust in product quality, in order to compete in the fashion sector.

The analysis presented here offers a possible framework for understanding when sub-state actors behave prudently and more strategically in their foreign relations, and when other priorities might instead heighten the chances of seemingly irrational, erratic, or dangerous, foreign policies. Using a case study of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq to illustrate the argument, the author attempts to show how “regime consolidation” plays a key role in allowing such actors to prioritise policies aimed at grappling with external challenges, threats and opportunities. Internally legitimate, consolidated regimes can better present “one face” to the outside world and behave more strategically in the international arena.  Political systems lacking consolidation or internal legitimacy, in contrast, turn to the external environment in search of resources to help them with domestic threats and challenges. This may lead to seemingly erratic, unpredictable and risky foreign policies on their part.
