Dengue hemorrhagic fever is an infection caused by the dengue virus, the dengue virus is transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever is influenced by various factors such as environmental sanitation, economy and behavior. This study aims to determine the effect of environmental sanitation and family behavior on the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever in Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This type of research is quantitative with cross sectional design. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate with chi square test and multivariate using binary logistic regression model parameter testing. The results showed that the variables of environmental sanitation and behavior in Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency were not optimal so that they were at risk of experiencing dengue fever. Environmental sanitation and behavior variables simultaneously and significantly influence the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever in Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This is related to the large amount of waste that is not properly managed around residents' homes and there are also clean water storage places that are not closed, this condition is due to the lack of public knowledge about the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness and how to do 3M. Besides that, the attitude of the people who do not care about it also illustrates that the behavior of the people in the area is still lacking.

BACKGROUND: Dengue virus infection is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Dengue virus (DEN-V) consists of 4 serotypes, namely DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4. The most feared result of DHF is death. Death in children is caused by hypovolemic shock due to plasma leakage from intravascular to extravascular space due to endothelial dysfunction. AIM: This study aims to analyse difference in sVE-Cadherin levels in Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) with and without shock. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The method of taking samples is consecutive sampling, namely the research subjects obtained based on the order of entry in the hospital with a comparative cross-sectional design. From the results of the calculation using the sample formula, the sample size for each group is set at 32 people. So that the total sample size used for both groups is 64 people. The serum sVE-Cadherin levels using the ELISA method. The statistical test used is the independent t-test. The value of p < 0.05 was said to be statistically significant. RESULTS: The result showed that there was no difference in mean sVE-Cadherin levels between DHF patients with shock and without shock (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION: This study concluded that there was no difference in mean of sVE-Cadherin level in DHF patients with shock and without shock.

Abstract: Dengue is an arboviral disease that is widely spread across the world by Aedes mosquitoes. The early onset of dengue virus infection is difficult to identify due to indistinctive clinical symptoms. Therefore, simple laboratory test is required in the early diagnosis of dengue virus infection. Laboratory test that include routine blood test and blue plasma lymphocyte are important as rapid and relatively cheap diagnostic tool. Blue plasma lymphocytes derived from lymphoid which acts as an immune response that can be found in 4% of peripheral blood on 98% dengue hemorrhagic fever cases. Besides the increases in blue plasma lymphocytes, dengue virus infection can also causes leucopenia. Leucopenia in Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is characterized by the decrease of neutrophile count that happened during the early critical phase (third day of fever). This is a cross-sectional study using samples of 37 children who are infected with dengue virus in RS Advent Manado, RS TNI AD Wolter Monginsidi, RS Pancaran Kasih Manado during December 2014 to January 2015. Inclusion criteria are children below age 15, who have NS1 or IgG/IgM positive, who are on the third until seventh day of fever, whose parents or guardian have signed the informed consent. Conclusion: Leucopenia (leukocyte count below 4000/mm3) was found in children with dengue virus infection who had their routine blood test. Blue plasma lymphocytes are not always found in patients with NS1-AG, IgG/IgM positive.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) caused Dengue virus which transmitted through the bite of the Aedes sp. Detection of dengue virus serotypes is essential for epidemiology as well as potential disease pathogens. RT-PCR method was more effective in mosquitoes, because the virus contained in the mosquito body is passed on to the next generation (trans ovarian). The purpose of this research is to know the serotype of DHF virus accurately through vector mosquito using RT-PCR method in Mataram City, so that vector control, early diagnosis and management of DHF disease could be done quickly and precisely. This research was a laboratory explorative research with cross sectional design that determines serotype of DHF virus through vector mosquito using RT-PCR method in Mataram City. The population of this study were Aedes aegypti female mosquitoes from eggs. Collected from houses located in Community Health Center Mataram city worked area with high dengue cases: Pagesangan, Karang Taliwang, Karang Pule, Tanjung Karang, Mataram, and Selaparang especially around the house’s sufferers. The results showed that only the mosquito group from the worked area of the Mataram Community Health Center showed the ribbon image with the base pair in accordance with serotype 1 (DENGUE 1), the other negative.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is an infectious disease caused by one of four dengue viruses that is transmitted by mosquitoes, especially aedes aegypti and aedes albopyctus. The occurrence of outbreaks in Indonesia caused by various factors, including an environment that is still conducive to the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes, expansion of endemic areas due to the emergence of new residential areas, minimal eradication of mosquito nests, and increased population mobilization. This correlational study uses cross sectional method where the data collection is by distributing questionnaire. The number of samples in this study were three hundred (300) respondents who were drawn using stratified random sampling technique. After the data is collected then tabulated and processed using the Spearman Rho Test with p ≤ 0.05.The statistical test results of the relationship between the level of knowledge and behavior in mosquito nests eradication using the Spearmen rho test showed that p-value = 0.882> α so that it was concluded that there was no relationship between them. While the statistical test results of the relationship between information exposure and behavior mosquito nests eradication using the Spearmen rho test found that there was no relationship between the two variables p value = 0.229> α so it was concluded that there was no relationship between them. The community must be active in seeking information about dengue hemorrhagic fever and increase their participation in eradicating mosquito nests on an ongoing basis both at home and in the surrounding environment. Keywords: Information, Knowledge, DHF, PSN Behavior

Abstract Cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) have increased from year to year which has become a health problem in Indonesia. DHF vector control using chemicals, especially temephos, is still popular in the community compared to other controls and has received attention from most program managers because it is still effective in killing larvae of Aedes sp. The purpose of this study was to explore the use of temephos in the household and its relationship with the larva density of larvae of Aedes sp in the Balaroa village of Palu City with a cross sectional design Data collection was done by larva survey and interview using a structured questionnaire. The results of a study of 200 homes surveyed showed that households that used temephos were very few (19.5%), 97.4% of them used temephos correctly. Households that use temephos correctly, 65.8% of larvae densities are low, while 34.2% are still found to be high with the most use by housewives. Households in Balaroa Village use very little money to control dengue mosquitoes. It is necessary to increase the use of abate in the household through the dissemination of information about functions, and the practice of using temephos to the community, especially to housewives and improve the distribution system of temephos through posyandu activities or other activities.
