High flora biodiversity provides many functions, both ecological, economic, social, aesthetic and security. People's preference for a variety of local fruits can increase their motivation to plant and maintain various fruit-producing plants, and manage biodiversity in general. The problem agreed by the Team and the two partners was, the low knowledge of students about the diversity of local fruits and their benefits, on the other hand the students were accustomed to consuming imported fruit. In the long run, it can have implications for the lack of preference for local fruits, as well as the low appreciation for the existence of local fruit-producing plants. The solution offered is to introduce local fruits, local fruit-producing trees, their benefits for health and for the environment. Environmental education is needed to prepare the community with knowledge and skills; preparing them to understand environmental problems, motivating to act, and equipping with skills and abilities to solve or prevent certain environmental problems. It is expected that the student group of INPRES elementary school and St. Catholic elementary school Agustinus Warembungan (main targets) and the teachers and students involved (additional targets) gained knowledge about the diversity of local fruits and their benefits and were able to plant and maintain local fruit-producing trees in the school and residential areas. PKM was held in Warembungan Village, Pineleng District, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province for six (6) months. The program is carried out in the following activities. 1) Preparation of the program with partners. 2) Preparation of teaching modules and teaching aids introducing discussion, as well as preparation of demonstration tools and materials and student practice. 3) Implementation of extension activities in the form of discussion and demonstration with active learner involvement (direct experience). 4) Compilation of reports and writing articles for scientific publication. This research documented the know-how of five elementary-school teachers regarding formative assessment, working from their point of view on the question. Group interviews gave them the opportunity to negotiate their “ways of doing things,” by revisiting and elaborating upon assessment episodes that had been previously identified on classroom videotapes. An interactionist analysis served to describe the territory of formative assessment according to the range of their formal and informal “ways of doing things.”

The objectives of elementary school mathematics fall under one of two headings—knowing or knowing how. “Knowing” refers to that core of facts, concepts, and processes believed essential for all students to master (e.g., the addition facts, the concept of addition, the addition algorithm). “Knowing how” refers to those problemsolving skills by which the facts, concepts, and processes are put to use (e.g., solving verbal problems in addition, solving addition problems in daily living, proving theorems associated with addition). The teaching of these skills is the ultimate aim of elementary school mathematics, since what we know cannot be applied in daily life unless we know how to use it.

Abstract Practical activities are didactic tools of paramount importance in the teaching-learning process, as they arouse students’ interest in learning, in addition to providing a better assimilation of the contents taught in Science. The present work has a quantitative nature. It aimed at analyzing the types of practical activities developed by Science teachers, verifying the frequency they occur in the school, identifying teachers’ difficulties to carry them out and to know how teachers perceive the importance of practical activities, as a pedagogical resource that facilitates the teaching-learning process. First, a bibliographic review was carried out, then a semi-structured questionnaire was applied with 12 teachers who teach Science in Elementary School II of the Municipal Public Network of Guanambi/BA. The result of the research revealed that teachers use practical activities in the teaching process to stimulate knowledge construction and motivate students. However, they reported the difficulties in carrying out practical activities, pointing out: the absence of an adequate place to carry out the actions, the small amount of available material and the high number of students per classroom.
