Idiomatic knowledge, the competence of speakers to speak consists of nine aspects perfectly to be separated through abstraction in accordance with two sets of criteria to be found in the activity of speaking: three levels (universal, historical or particular and individual) and three points of view (activity, knowledge and product). Combining the three levels with the three points of view with the aspects referred to they are speaking in general, speaking a particular language and speaking individually; elocutive knowledge, idiomatic knowledge, and expressive knowledge; and the total manifestations of speaking, abstract language and text. My purpose now is to analyze the activity of speaking in order to know if idiomatic knowledge is structured or not thus interpreting the idiomatic knowledge underlying speaking.

Hermeneutics is the science consisting in the interpretation of human facts in terms of the human life. Hermeneutics tries to justify what has already been made by humans.

For the purpose of defining Iris Murdoch’s artistic method a complex investigation of the problems and style of her famous novel “The Black Prince” was made. Special attention was given to the philosophical problems of Good and Evil, Contingency and Necessity in human life, absurdity, choice, aloofness, to the philosophical aspect of the novel, which is revealed with the help of the flash-back technique. The problems raised in the novel, its sensitive main character absorbed in psychoanalysis and looking for the sense of existence, naturalistic details & the postscripts, revealing different subjective points of view on the same events, prove that the novel should be regarded as existentialist

Entertainment and the process of reading are two spheres of human activity which have kept Professor Harding's interest for more than forty years. Time and again he would focus his attention on them: studying the nature of these activities, their relation to other human activities, their impact upon the individual and their role in society as a whole, and examining individual features of the reading process, analysing various misconceived notions about the nature and position of these activities in human life and investigating the possibilities of improving the capacity to respond to art at a more practiced level. In this way - approaching the problems of entertainment and reader response from different points of view and elaborating various details and aspects over several decades - his sustained efforts to penetrate into these activities have resul.ted in an important body of knowledge encompassing a far-reaching concept of entertainment and of reading built upon a well-balanced account of them as integral human activities, and of their wider social relevance.

Contemporary artists have included classical methods together with innovative digital printing technologies to their artistic manufactures and thus their technological production interactions have been reflected on current art as well. Today’s artists have also been in collaboration with each other by involving the digital printing technologies which kept advancing during the recent 20 years in their works of art just like Degas and Manzi did in their relationships of production partnerships in 19th Century. Besides, those opinions which originated from modernism ideas and movements consist of the core of this cooperation post Industrial Revolution era. Therefore, the concept of nationalism, the devastating consequences of the world wars and the latest industrial and technological advancements have all transformed human life irreversibly. Consequently, during this transformation era, various significant movements of art such as Impressionism and Expressionism emerged in the 20th century and representatives of those art movements substituted such a lot of printmaking practices in their works of art. None of those mentioned above took place in other previous movements of art. They reflected their points of view that they display social movements and none of the other artists who represent other senses of art have ever exhibited such a lot of printmaking practices. Thus, various printing technologies which present a new laboratory environment to the artists. As a result of this, printing technologies have been preferred as a sort of new artistic media value and it started to take its prominent place in collections of art as well as in museums during artistic presentations. Within this context, this article aims at studying the phenomenon of art by considering how it has changed during the historical process by examining those works of art which reveal these variations. Common production and working techniques in traditional printmaking, contributions of the technological advantages to the artistic manufacture. Besides, periodical innovations will be examined and presented by introducing an updated point of view to the topic within the content of this article that contain some citations from the second part of the thesis titled “Effects of fine art printmaking on the phenomenon of contemporary art”.

The importance of fresh water in human life entails people to be conscious of conserving the resources since only one percent of the total fresh water on the earth is easily accessible. Green campus is a concept implemented by campuses where policies are lead to ecological points of view. This research aims to update the UI GreenMetric standard, focusing on Water (WA) category as a recommendation for Universitas Indonesia as the initiator. Referrals from other related standards, i.e. STARS® and Greenship were done on developing the category with its contents. Furthermore, the re-weighting and re-scoring system of the newly developed category were carried out using Analytical Hierarchy Process method, adjusted to the existing laws/regulations in Indonesia. For verification purposes, a study on campus performance at Universitas Katolik Parahyangan, was conducted using the newly developed category. The proposed strategies were then set to improve the campus performance in the future.

From the oldest times, man has been using wood as prime material in building houses, as well as manufacturing tools needed around the house. Romanians, being strongly connected with the forests, they have been observing the way some wooden species are behaving to different stimulus and so being able to choose the species with the highest resistance from the durability, physic -mechanic characteristics, visual aspect and industrial prime matter points of view. An "ecological" house, for a simple man, represents the manual handcrafting of the wood and also using it in various domains such as building shelters, tools and other useful items that are a day by day necessity around the house. A "modern" house is an upgrade of what massive wood has meant in construction, tools and objects are using new crafting and finishing techniques, which are well superior to those already known by elder people. The construction of a "modern" house also involves the use of new materials that can meet people's needs; and so the used wood proportion is decreasing, placing itself in a secondary plan and increasingly used in combination with other materials. The environment has been, is and will always be a witness of all civilizations and everything that means evolution and modernization, knowledge and development; the forests, , in our opinion, always occupying the most precious place in human life.

Abstract My aim in this paper is to characterize the professional good served by the humanities as various academic disciplines, particularly in relation to the general academic good, namely, the pursuit of knowledge in theoretical and scholarly research, and to evaluate the public and ethical dimension of that professional good and the constraints it imposes upon practitioners. My argument will be that the humanities aim at both knowledge of objective facts and acknowledgement of the human status of their subject matter, and that there are facts (and truths) about human life and society that are inaccessible except through such humanistic acknowledgement. As such, the humanities require the adoption of evaluative, other-oriented points of view, and they serve the public by advancing a reflective view of the very conditions of the public’s own constitution. In short, the humanities incorporate the view that practical and evaluative wisdom is not only essential for the full pursuit of truth, but that it is also an essential public good in any well-ordered society, especially in contemporary democracies. The discussion proceeds by examining various examples of both the professional and the public good in question, and focuses particularly on cases of excessive acknowledgement in the form of uncritical apologetics and excessive objectification in various forms of reductionism.

In discussing the points of contact between Neolithic Britain and the Continent, it is desirable from many points of view to begin at the beginning, and to conclude with the introduction of metal. I prefer this to the method adopted in our leading text-book, even though it brings us at once into an area of conflict, where nothing should be taken for granted, and general agreement is not yet in sight. In Scandinavia there seems to be a definite terminus a quo, though even there some elements of doubt can be detected. It is generally assumed that human life began in the peninsula soon after the last or Baltic glaciation came to an end; and the first question is whether the same holds good for Britain, and if so, to what extent, for an ice-free area in the south of England is recognised by most authorities even during the severe glaciation that accounted for boulder-clay at Finchley, only three miles north of the Thames. As will be seen later, intercourse with Scandinavia was lively during two phases of the Megalithic period, but there is nothing to shew that the Neolithic civilisations east and west of the North Sea had a common origin or began at the same date.

The study aimed to investigate the negotiation skills which can contribute to bridging the gap between different points of view and reflecting the spirit of understanding. Collected from scientific sources and references, the data were systemically interpreted. The study consisted of three sections: the concept of negotiation, negotiation skills, types of negotiators and the most important factors that can affect the negotiation process. The study reached the following findings: 1. Negotiation is an inherent process in human life as long as man lives with others and enters into different, changing and continuous life relationships. 2. Negotiators are expected to have the skills, experience and capabilities that enable them to set up a strategy for planning and negotiation with integration in performance. The study came up with the following recommendations: 1. People working in the field of negotiations should be provided with the required training and qualifications. 2. Identifying the objectives of negotiations is required to set up a successful strategy for the negotiation process.

This paper discusses the development of contemporary Islamic education by describing the thoughts of Abdurrahman Mas'ud, Hasan Langgulung, and Abdul Munir Mulkhan. Abdurrahman Mas'ud offers the humanistic and religious format of nondikotomic education, which connects human beings with their God (Hablum Minallah) and between human and human (Hablum Minannas). The purpose of education according to him is to prepare life in the world and the hereafter. Hasan Langgulung offers an idea of the principles of Islamic education. According to him, education can be viewed from two points of view. First, from the perspective of society, that education is a process of cultural inheritance, from the old generation to the younger generation, so that the community can maintain its personality with the basis of Islamic values. Second, from individual perspective, education means the development effort of individual potentials to be actualized concretely so that the results can be beneficial to individuals and society. Langgulung educational thinking is based on the perspective of psychology, education is needed to meet and maintain the sustainability of human life. While Abdul Munir Mulkhan's educational thought is more influenced by a sociological perspective critically. In general, education only prioritizes aspects of intelligence (cognition) and skills (psychomotor), thus ignoring the aspects of personality (emotional). Therefore, he argues, spiritual reasoning is the solution to the philosophical problems of education because the personality or consciousness of manners will increase religiosity (spiritual intelligence) as the base of creative consciousness. According to Mulkhan, education is the right of human beings in maintaining humanitarian agreements so that in their life will realize the awareness of pluralism in the society

From the point of view of metaanthropology, the article analyzes the values of human being: the value of security, power, freedom, love, unity of freedom and love, as well as the value of such existentials as the sense & meaningfullness of human being & exsistance. The value of the sense of human being & exsistance is analized in a research from such points of view as: life not only for the sake of self-preservation and minimization of suffering, but also for the development, holistic harmonious realization by a humanity of such qualities that make a person capable not only for the consumering of the benefits of civilization, but also becoming a creator of culture, seeking the harmony of spiritual, soul and physical needs, the ability to express empathy and to overcome the existential problems of despair and fear of death, remaining a human creator, maintaining traditional human values and existentials, such as love and freedom. The value of the meaning of human life is analyzed in the realm of such existential concepts as free will and human right to have traditional values. The study focuses on the important theme of the loss of meaningful existentials, which, as a rule, is proposed by transhumanism, having a basis for this in the philosophy of the postmodern era, as well as the search for ways out of the existential, spiritual, soul and moral-ethical crisis in order to preserve the human values. The theoretical basis of the study was the work of philosophers of different periods, studies of psychologists and psychoanalysts, including contemporary, recent work of domestic researchers in meta-anthropology, as well as recent work of foreign representatives of transhumanism. There is made a conclusion that the unification of the values of freedom and love in a person’s life is impossible without preserving the traditional existentials of culture, in particular, such as spirituality, empathy, the capacity for compassion and feelings, which make sense of a human existence & being.
