An important component of an education change begins with readiness among the implementers. Willingness to face change needs to be measured from the perspective of the individual implementing the change, especially teachers.  Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the relationship between teachers’ readiness in implementing the teaching of Design and Technology (RBT) year four of the Primary School Standard Curriculum (KSSR) with self -efficacy and intrinsic motivation. This study is guided by the Wallace Reflective Model. The quantitative study of this descriptive survey involved 368 teachers of RBT fourth year KSSR subjects in Peninsular Malaysia. Cluster and simple random sampling were used to select the sample for this study. The research instrument consisted of a set of questionnaires containing 77 items. The findings of the study showed that the overall mean of teachers' readiness in terms of reasoning knowledge and PBS skills was high. The readiness of teachers in terms of PBS skills recorded a higher mean value (M = 3.92) compared to reasoning knowledge (M = 3.82). These findings give the impression that teachers are more prepared in terms of PBS skills in implementing the teaching of RBT KSSR. The results of the Pearson Correlation Test showed that there was a moderately positive relationship between the independent variables (self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation) with teachers' readiness. The findings of this study prove that the component of teachers’ readiness is very important to be taken into account in the formulation of a new curriculum. Factors of self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation also need to be considered because these two variables have a significant relationship with the readiness of teachers in implementing teaching in the classroom. Therefore, this study is expected to provide guidance to policy makers and curriculum planners to pay attention to the aspect of teacher readiness when introducing new subjects.

Abstract Vocational guidance (VG) involves several variables that can help the individual to make a professional choice and build his or her career. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy for professional choice and career adaptability in high school students, as well as to verify possible differences regarding the intention or not to participate in a VG process. 272 students participated in this study, from a public school, aged between 14 and 19 years, 51.5% female. A Sociodemographic Questionnaire, the Self-efficacy Scale for Professional Choice (EAE-EP) and the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS-Brazil) were applied. From the Pearson correlation analysis, ANOVA and Cohen’s d, the results indicated positive correlations between the constructs, in addition, it was observed the difference between the students who would like or not to undergo a VG process. Implications for the practice are discussed.

The conservation of seeds in an appropriate location combined with the utilization of rapid tests for monitoring the physiological aspects is essential for quality seedlings. Thus, the study aimed to evaluate the behavior of Myracrodruon urundeuva diaspore under different periods and storage environments, and verify the testing of individual exudate pH in the physiological monitoring. The experimental design was completely randomized, factorial 2 × 8 (8 periods of storage and 2 storage environments) with four replications of 25 diaspores, using the Tukey test at 5% probability for average comparisons. After analysis of variance, it was performed regression analysis for the quantitative factor and simple Pearson correlation test. The variables analyzed were moisture content, seedling emergence (E) emergence velocity index (IVE), mean emergence time (TME) and the pH of the individual exudate. The results of E, IVE, TME tests indicated that the Myracrodruon urundeuva diaspores could be stored for ten months in room fridge, with low vigor loss. The pH test individual exudate showed lower estimates of simple Pearson correlation with the emergence test, not monitoring the physiological potential of Myracrodruon urundeuva diaspores.

Introduction: Physical, social, mental, and psychological issues are common in the first few days after giving birth. According to some research, postpartum depression symptoms are linked to high cortisol levels. Postpartum psychological stress causes higher cortisol levels. Objective: The aim of this study was to look at postpartum mother's anxiety and cortisol levels. Methods: An Analytical Survey with a Cross-Sectional Approach is used in this analysis. With simple random sampling, there were 38 samples that met the inclusion criteria. Data was collected using the PSAS questionnaire for anxiety and an ELISA test for cortisol levels. Univariate and Pearson correlation test is used in the data analysis. Results: The majority of postpartum mothers reported mild anxiety in the first 24 hours after childbirth, with an average cortisol level of 10.034ng/ml 47.4%. The average level of the puerperal hormone cortisol in primiparous women was 14.60ng/ml higher than in multiparous women 7.42 ng/dl. Conclusion: With a p-value of 0.017, there was a substantial difference in cortisol levels between primiparous and multiparous postpartum mothers. With a p-value <0.001, there was a close connection between anxiety scores and cortisol levels. Future studies would need to focus on making it easier for postpartum mothers to feel less anxious.

Objectives: Parental attachment is effective on parents’ feelings of commitment toward infant care and increases maternal efficiency. Given that the parity is considered as the main factor and moderator of the mother-infant interaction, the present study aimed to investigate the relationship between marital satisfaction with mother-infant attachment and breastfeeding self-efficacy and its comparison in primiparous and multiparous women. Materials and Methods: This descriptive-correlational study was carried out using a random sampling method. A total of 420 mothers having 4-6 months children were randomly selected from health centers in Ahvaz and enrolled in the study. The required data were collected using a demographic questionnaire, ENRICH marital satisfaction scale, Müller’s mother-infant attachment inventory, and Denis’s breastfeeding self-efficacy questionnaire. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS, version 20. Results: The findings revealed that the mean scores of marital satisfaction, mother-infant attachment, and breastfeeding self-efficacy was 136.57±19.76, 100.82±4.604, and 13.148±135.75 in primiparous women and the values of the same variables were 127.65±18.67, 9±95.31, and 138.66±13.889 in multiparous women, respectively. In addition, the Pearson correlation test showed that marital satisfaction was significantly correlated with mother-infant attachment in two groups of primiparous and multiparous mothers, as well as breastfeeding self-efficacy in multiparous mothers (P<0.05). Conclusions: In general, multiparous mothers are often neglected since most of the training and counseling services provided during the perinatal period focus on new mothers. Thus, this research supports the need for educating and informing parents regarding the importance of spousal support and its effect on improving family functions.
