ICT integration in educational pedagogy enhances teachers’ content delivery alongside heightening the levels of education. This study was carried out in Machakos County, Kenya to investigate the influence of ICT integration on content delivery by ICT and Non-ICT trained teachers in secondary schools. The study was guided by two objectives; to establish the status of teachers’ integration of ICT in content delivery and to determine the influence of ICT integration on content delivery by teachers. The study embraced descriptive survey design. Ratio proportionate sampling and equal allocation method were employed to get the sample size. Data was collected using questionnaires for the principals, teachers and the students. Test re-test technique was employed to heighten the instruments reliability. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analyse data. Pearson’s Product Moment determined the level of the relationship between the variables. Pearson chi test was employed to present, interpret inferential data. The study revealed that ICT trained teachers utilized ICT in content presentations which enriched their delivery, while Non-ICT trained teachers applied their general ICT knowledge inhibiting their technology utilization in content delivery. The study concluded that ICT trained teachers’ integration of ICT in content delivery was significantly higher at (p) 0.003 than for Non-ICT trained teachers at (p) 0.047. Hence the null hypothesis was rejected. The study recommended that the Ministry of Education (MOE) should incorporate ICT training in teacher training institutions for application of technology in content delivery.

The use of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching and learning has become a necessity and an opportunity for improving and enhancing acquisition of knowledge by learners. The integration of ICT in teachers’ pedagogical practices has the potential to transform the teaching and learning process. ICTs have become vital tools for teachers to enhance learning through the teachers’ pedagogical aspect of content preparation in classroom. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of ICT integration on content preparation by ICT and Non-ICT trained teachers in secondary schools. The study’s specific objectives were to assess the status of teachers’ integration of ICT in content preparation and to establish the influence of ICT integration on content preparation by ICT and Non-ICT trained teachers in secondary schools. The hypothesis of the study was; ICT integration does not significantly influence content preparation by ICT and Non-ICT trained teachers in secondary schools in Machakos County, Kenya. The study employed descriptive survey research design. The sample size comprised of 180 principals, 360 teachers and 398 students. Data was collected using questionnaires, observation schedule, and document analysis. Content validity of the research instruments was ascertained through analysis by experts in comparative education and piloting of the research instruments. Reliability was ascertained by testing and re-testing the instruments. Data analysis was done by use of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Responses from the observation schedule and document analysis guide were organized into themes and integrated with rest of the data for purposes of triangulation. Pearson’s Product Moment correlation coefficient was used to determine the level and strength of the relationship between ICT integration and teachers’ content preparation. Pearson chi test was employed to determine the levels of significance between the variables. The study established that ICT trained teachers profoundly embraced the use of ICT skills to prepare e-based learning activities which enhanced their content preparation leading to more innovative lessons due to the acquisition of pedagogical ICT training. The study concluded that ICT integration significantly influenced teachers’ content preparation by ICT and Non-ICT trained teachers. ICT trained teachers’ integration of ICT in their content preparation was significantly higher at (p) 0.002 than their Non-ICT trained counterparts at (p) 0.045. It was concluded that ICT trained teachers integrated ICT in their content preparation more than Non-ICT trained teachers in secondary schools. Hence the null hypothesis was rejected. Based on the findings and conclusions the study recommended that, The Ministry of Education (MOE) and other ICT training agencies should provide ICT in-service training programs to ensure that all teachers acquire ICT skills to utilize ICT in content preparation for quality education.

<span>This article describes the integration of ICT in the teacher training centres of Cambodia. It focuses on the collaboration between the Teacher Training Department of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) of Cambodia and VVOB (Flemish Association for Development Cooperation and Technical Assistance), which is aimed at improving ICT integration in pre-service teacher training. The article firstly provides an overview that outlines the major challenges the country is facing regarding ICT integration in education, and teacher training specifically. Then it will explain the strategy chosen to improve the quality of education, followed by a discussion of the concrete actions that were taken. While the integration is an ongoing process, some intermediate impacts and findings are discussed. This short paper concludes with a look at the challenges lying ahead.</span>

This study aims to analyze the relevance of the �health emergency� status to the existing legal theory and condition as well as to identify the validity of the Circular Letter of the Rector of State Universities. To this end, this study applied the statute and conceptual approach. The study was conducted by inventorying primary and secondary legal materials to obtain a proper and critical review of the legal issues under study. The results showed that the determination of the �health emergency� status by the government was inappropriate due to the uncertainty of the regulations issued by the government to determine the current condition. Thus, the status of the COVID-19 pandemic is a �legal emergency� status. Further, the Rector�s policy through the Circular Letter is valid judicially, sociologically, and philosophically. The determination of the �legal emergency� status can be done by issuing a Perppu without a �state of emergency� from the President. Finally, it is suggested to firstly get an approval from the Ministry of Education and Culture regarding the issuance of the Rector�s Circular Letter. Besides, further study is needed as this study was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic.�Keabsahan Surat Edaran Rektor Perguruan Tinggi dalam Pandemi Covid-19Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa relevansi status �darurat kesehatan� dengan teori hukum dan kondisi yang ada dan keabsahan atas Surat Edaran Rektor Perguruan Tinggi Negeri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah statute approach dan conseptual approach. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menginventarisasi bahan hukum primer dan sekunder, guna mendapatkan kajian yang seyogianya dan telaah kritis terkait isu hukum. Hasil penelitian menyatakan penetapan status darurat kesehatan oleh pemerintah kurang tepat, dikarenakan tidak menentu-nya peraturan yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah untuk menetapkan kondisi saat ini. Sehingga, status pandemi COVID-19 merupakan status darurat hukum. Kebijakan rektor melalui Surat Edaran adalah absah secara aspek yuridis, sosiologis, dan filosofis. Penetapan darurat hukum cukup dilakukan dengan menerbitkan Perppu tanpa pernyataan darurat dari Presiden. Saran peneliti adalah di perlukan persetujuan pada Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan terkait terbitnya Surat Edaran Rektor, dan dibutuhkan penelitian lebih lanjut dikarenakan penelitian ini dilakukan pada masa COVID-19 yang bersifat temporal.�

Purpose: The current study sought to establish determinants of successful implementation of non-government organization health projects in Kibera informal settlement. The study sought to establish how community participation, resource mobilization, communication and project control determines successful implementation of health projects for NGOs operating in Kibera informal settlement.Methodology: The study adopted a descriptive survey design and 116 questionnaires were issued but only 92 questionnaires were received which represented a 79% response rate.Results: The results of the study revealed that resource mobilization, communication and project control positively and significantly determined successful implementation of health projects by Non-Governmental organizations in Kibera as shown by r=0.443, r=0.511 and r=0.798 respectively while community participation negatively determined the implementation success of the projects (r= -0.078).Recommendations: The study recommends that NGOs implementing health projects in Kibera should focus on mobilizing resources since the practice contributes to successful implementation of the projects. NGOs can achieve this by actively engaging sponsors, conducting harambees, networking and presenting grant proposals to prospective financiers to solicit resources for implementing the health projects. Additionally, the study recommends that NGOs implementing health projects in Kibera should focus on project communication since the practice contributes to successful implementation of the projects. NGOs can achieve this by establishing a concise project communication plan, and through continuous communication with project teams and stakeholders on matters concerning the progress of the project. The study further recommends that NGOs implementing health projects in Kibera should focus on project control since the practice contributes to successful implementation of the projects.NGOs can achieve this by using project management information systems in designing and controlling health projects, conducting a variance analysis on the progress of the project and by providing updates on the status of the project to the relevant stakeholders.

Since the advent of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), teaching and learning have somewhat taken a paradigm shift. It is, thus, imperative for teachers in all disciplines to appreciate the essence of integrating ICTs in teaching and learning. In this regard, this study sought to explore Basic School Ghanaian Language teachers’ perceptions of ICT integration in Ghanaian language teaching. The study employed a descriptive survey design. Stratified random sampling was used to obtain data from 205 teachers in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo region of Ghana. Analysis of data collected through a self-developed questionnaire reveals that Ghanaian language teachers exhibit a positive perception of ICT integration in education. However, in practice, they tend to integrate ICT in their instruction on occasional basis. Also, it was revealed that a lack of financial support for ICT resources and lack of in-service training on ICT use were factors that militated against ICT integration in Ghanaian language teaching. Finally, the study revealed a statistically significant difference between degree holders and diploma holders’ perception of ICT integration in teaching and learning Ghanaian language.

The aim of this study was to examine stakeholder perception of the contribution of vocational education (VE) to the economy of Botswana. A survey design was adopted. The sample included staff of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Colleges and Industry at the time of the study. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 61 respondents. The results confirmed that stakeholders believed that while VE was playing a significant role in fostering economic growth, it did not effectively translate into benefits to its recipients and it also failed to bring industrialisation to Botswana. For stakeholders to realise more benefits from VE, there is need to review the curriculum to become more relevant, ensure that unemployed graduates access finance to start businesses and for the government to attract investment in heavy industry to stimulate industrialisation.

The study explored the common students’ indiscipline at Islamic University in Uganda. The study was quantitative and a cross-sectional survey design was used. The population of the study was 3,486 registered students in the academic year 2019/2020. They were selected from the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Management Studies, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Faculty of Science. A sample of 265 respondents was selected for the study using proportionate and random sampling. The mean score was computed to analyse the data. To conclude, the point range of the arithmetic mean was considered. The study found that the common indiscipline among learners in IUIU included disrespect to teachers and school rules and regulations, theft, and irregular attendance. The study recommended IUIU administration improves staff remuneration to change the status of the teachers. Furthermore, the administration needs to tighten security in the university and residents need to take care of their property to avoid theft. The researcher also recommended that a study should be carried out to find out the cause of students’ irregular attendance

This paper discusses the head teachers’ role in facilitating school facilities that influence pupils’ performance in Kenya Certificate of Primary School (KCPE). The objective was to establish the head teachers’ role in facilitating school facilities that influence pupils’ performance in Kenya Certificate of Primary School. The research was based on the Max Weber’s Theory of Bureaucracy. The target population was 612 head teachers, senior teachers and accounts’ clerks in Nairobi County. The sample size was 123. The research employed descriptive survey design. The schools selected were 14 from Westland and Dagoretti districts and 13 from Lang’ata district through simple random sampling. The head teachers and accounts’ clerks were selected by purposive sampling methods. The research instruments used were the interview and document analysis guides. Validation of both instruments was done by the expert judgment review by supervisors from the Department of Educational Administration and Planning of the University of Nairobi. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data which was presented in a table. The study established that all the 41 sampled schools had fairly adequate exercise books, buildings and furniture; inadequate textbooks, radios, equipment, computers, displays, charts and playgrounds. The study concluded that the head teachers had not facilitated adequate school facilities that influence pupils’ performance in Kenya Certificate of Primary School (KCPE). It was recommended that the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology should increase funding of schools to enable the head teachers to procure more school facilities to enhance pupils’ performance in Kenya Certificate of Primary School.

In December 2018 the information and reference system “REGISTER of scientific professional editions of Ukraine” (http://resources.ukrintei.ua/refer/) was created at the SSO UISTEI. The purpose of the project is to create a convenient and accessible online platform containing information that will be useful to the authors (helps in the choice that is best suited for publication), editors (helps to improve and develop their own journals, helps to be in the trend in the development of professional scientific journals of Ukraine), experts (for monitoring of changes and verification of compliance with issued formal criteria). The service should ensure the availability of information about the scientific specialists of Ukraine. The system has a convenient multi-level search for publications based on a number of parameters, filtering functions and sorting content. The project was supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and a link was posted on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science, through which any user can access the service online. The service (currently) contains and stores information on more than 1,760 scientific professional journals of Ukraine. In plans for further development it is planned to develop the possibility of external editing of the publication data by the founders, which will help to provide the most up-to-date information about the professional journals, to take into account the changes that arise in scientific periodicals. Using the service will simplify the control and improve the quality of management of expert opinions on the expediency of providing scientific publications with the status of professional

Competence structure that pre-service teachers need to develop to become a future teachers has been defined since the 1930s. For pre-service mathematics teachers, their competence has its own characteristics. ICT integration in developing competence for pre-service mathematics teachers has been been proved to be effective in many previous studies. In Vietnam, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has recommended the use of ICT to enhance teaching-learning activities in schools and universities, therefore, there have been many studies on ICT intergration at different educational levels. However, there are only a few studies on the use ICT integration in developing competence for pre-service mathematics teachers. This paper presents results from a research on the feasibility of ICT integration in developing competence of Vietnamese pre-service mathematics teachers. The research was conducted by surveying on a randomly selected of 297 pre-service mathematics teachers and 40 mathematics lecturers in six universities which provide mathematics training programs. Results show that despite of the availability of technologies, ICT integration in training pre-service teachers is still limited. In addition, ICT integration in teaching activities of mathematics teachers is not really effective because the levels of their ICT skills are very different. Pre-service mathematics teachers have the ability to use ICT equipment, and good accessibility to learning systems, but their use of the learning management systems (LMS) is limited. This study can be a reference for future studies to test the effective of ICT integration in training pre-service teachers when designing activities to develop feasibly and effectively their competence.
