The globalized system brings with it global problems, solvable through solutions applied worldwide, with the involvement of global and regional actors. The COVID-19pandemic that humanity has gone through has led to an integrative process of managerial policies and practices, through which competing states, and not only, that have so far developed on the idea of adversity, have become functionally compatible. This proves that the fundamental advantage at the end of the global pandemic can be determined, which is the ability of organizations to generate models, solutions and directions relevant to overcoming crises.Organizations have had to respond to a sudden, unforeseen crisis, the rapidly changing nature of which shows that organizational readiness depends on the ability to make use of human strengths, such as decision-making and adaptability, not just during a one-time crisis, but on a regular basis. It means constantly cultivating resilience, courage, judgment and flexibility to navigate a dynamic reality. Keywords: digital economy, pandemic crisis, economic recovery.

Significance The three parties successfully negotiated a coalition agreement with a strong emphasis on modernising Germany’s economy. Throughout the negotiations, the parties presented a public image of stability and harmony, yet several divisive issues will test the new government's stability and effectiveness. Impacts The composition of the new government will make it harder for Berlin to win approval for the EU-China Comprehensive Investment Agreement. Chancellor Olaf Scholz will seek to prioritise more unity at the EU level when it comes to foreign policy decision-making. The spread of the Omicron variant will slow economic recovery and potentially delay the transition to a greener economy.

The advent of internet-based technologies and social media has drastically affected how people communicate and share information. Electronic word-of-mouth (E-WOM) communication is one of those communication methods, and it has attracted the attention of scholars because of its effects on the consumer's decision-making process. However, there is a fragmentation of the E-WOM communication literature because of the broad range of platforms and different E-WOM formats. Therefore, the purpose of this chapter is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the antecedents, motivations, and consequences of E-WOM communication for consumers in the digital economy.

Gender mainstreaming means the consistent use of a gender perspective at all stages of the development and implementation of policies, plans, programmes, and projects. Mainstreaming gender differs from previous efforts to integrate women's concerns into government activities in that, rather than ‘adding on' a women's component to existing policies, plans, programmes, and projects, a gender perspective informs these at all stages and in every aspect of the decision-making process. Gender mainstreaming starts by analyzing the everyday life situation of women and men. It makes their differing needs and problems visible and examines what this means for specific policy areas. In this way, it ensures policies and practices are not based on incorrect assumptions and stereotypes. It recognizes that gender is one of the most fundamental organizing features in society and affects our lives from the moment we are born.

Development of the digital economy in the period of the global pandemic is one of the issues of strategic importance for Uzbekistan, like other countries, which determines its world-wide competitiveness, and through this, it shows that it is necessary to address the issues of socio-economic development of the country. The gradual transition to a digital economy in Uzbekistan will help solve many economic and promising problems and ensure economic growth. A number of issues and challenges have been addressed in terms of ensuring economic growth through the development of the digital economy and its economic significance.

Alternative data has steadily become more mainstream in investment decision-making. These non-traditional datasets provide a channel to draw insights from information as diverse as satellite images, news, tweets, mobile and internet traffic and credit card purchases. While alternative data has become an industry buzzword, making meaningful use of it remains a challenge. The ongoing financial crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic poses unprecedented challenges. This chapter explores examples of how alternative data can be used to help economic recovery.

Severe acute respiratory disease coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) which causes corona virus disease (COVID-19) was first identified in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and has since led to a global pandemic. Importations of SARS-CoV-2 to Israel in late February from multiple countries initiated a rapid outbreak across the country. In this study, SARS-CoV-2 whole genomes were sequenced from 59 imported samples with a recorded country of importation and 101 early circulating samples in February to mid-March 2020 and analyzed to infer clades and mutational patterns with additional sequences identified Israel available in public databases. Recorded importations in February to mid-March, mostly from Europe, led to multiple transmissions in all districts in Israel. Although all SARS-CoV-2 defined clades were imported, clade 20C became the dominating clade in the circulating samples. Identification of novel, frequently altered mutated positions correlating with clade-defining positions provide data for surveillance of this evolving pandemic and spread of specific clades of this virus. SARS-CoV-2 continues to spread and mutate in Israel and across the globe. With economy and travel resuming, surveillance of clades and accumulating mutations is crucial for understanding its evolution and spread patterns and may aid in decision making concerning public health issues.

The article considers the problems of the development of the digital economy in Russia, as well as the problems of digital transformation, in particular, the digitalization of the processes of the tax system of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the study is to analyze changes in the tax system of the Russian Federation and the system of tax control under the influence of digital technologies. The scientific novelty of the results obtained consists in determining the further prospects and directions for the development of the tax system of the Russian Federation in the conditions of digitalization of the Russian economy, which are necessary for making effective decisions on managing the tax system of the region and the country as a whole.

This paper provides an in-depth study and analysis of the characterization of the digital economy ecosystem and the mechanism of eye-flowering through the method of interspecies competition. The evolutionary game model of symbiotic decision-making in the entrepreneurial ecosystem is constructed, the evolutionary process of symbiotic decision-making of subjects is analyzed through mathematical derivation, and the symbiotic decision-making process of subjects is simulated through computer simulation to answer how the subjects of the entrepreneurial ecosystem make symbiotic decisions and explore the mechanism of symbiotic formation of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Then, based on the ecological perspective, the symbiotic evolution model of entrepreneurial ecosystem subjects is constructed from the subject level, the equilibrium point of the evolution of entrepreneurial ecosystem subjects, the stability conditions, and the relationship between the equilibrium point and the symbiosis model are analyzed, and the symbiotic evolution paths of entrepreneurial ecosystem subjects under different symbiosis modes, initial population size, maximum size, and natural growth rate are presented with simulation experiments, respectively. The main characteristics and manifestations of the dynamic evolution of the platform ecosystem are analyzed, and the key competitive factors that determine the dynamic evolution of the platform ecosystem are depicted. Then, according to the inherent characteristic laws of the platform ecosystem, the complex network approach is applied to construct a dynamic evolution model with originality and wide applicability for the change of bilateral user scale. Based on the dynamic evolution process, the relationship between model parameters and business performance is explored, and the trajectory of bilateral user size change over time and the range of parameters are derived by numerical calculation. Finally, using Monte Carlo simulation methods, the dynamic evolution model is used to predict the future operating conditions of platform enterprises, providing a valuation basis for investors to make investment decisions and helping platform managers to formulate business strategies.
