The increase of international student mobility for many countries is a significant opportunity and for some it might become a weakness, if the development is not addressed wisely by policy makers. There is a trend of one way mobility flows from smaller, economically less developed to more developed countries, which might put the formers under the risk of brain drain. This is especially risky for the relatively smaller developing countries (e.g. Armenia), where on the one hand the development of human capital and global integration is vital and on the other hand the drain of skilled human resources hinders the economic development. Concrete policy actions are vital for restructuring the mobility flow and ensuring the reality of brain circulation. By clarifying the major pushing and pulling factors influencing the decision of Armenian students to seek overseas education (which is the primary objective of this research paper), this study will be valuable for further policy, strategy and marketing instrument development on institutional, national and international levels. The study employed quantitative research methods using an online survey distributed among the target audience. The findings include number of pushing and pulling factors influencing on the decision of Armenian students to pursue education abroad, as well as the major obstacles hindering the mobility flow.

The authors of the article present the results of a study on the evaluation of the remuneration and performance of teachers in general education institutions in the regions of Latvia, which is a topical issue in the implementation of education system reforms. The aim of the study was to find out the opinion of teachers working in general education institutions about the factors influencing work performance, paying special attention to the regional aspects of this problem. The study used quantitative research methods through an extensive online survey. The questionnaire identified the following factors influencing teachers' performance: financial remuneration, non-financial remuneration, organizational culture and politics. The opinion of teachers was analysed in depth by regions of Latvia. The results show that in all regions of Latvia the performance of teachers is most significantly influenced by financial remuneration, non-financial remuneration and organizational culture are also important, but political presence plays an insignificant role. The results also revealed that in all regions (least in Riga and Pieriga) the increase of the minimum monthly wage rate of teachers or the wage is not the determining factor that would increase the performance of teachers. Foreign aid is one of the most powerful weapons in the war against poverty.  Many people equate aid with charity as one way act of generosity directed from high income countries to their low income counterparts. Foreign aid is indispensable for the development of less developed countries. It flows in the form of loans, assistance outright grants from various governmental and international organizations. It spreads the benefits of global integration and shared prosperity by enabling poor people and countries to overcome the health, education and economic resources barriers that keep them in poverty. There is an international consensus that human development should be the primary objective. Hence aid budgets are raising despite the several fiscal and public debt problems facing some of the donor countries.

The authors offer international student mobility trends between developed and developing countries. Global outflow, inflow, and net inflow trends are described to display an overall and dynamic landscape of international student mobility. International student mobility trends between developed and developing countries are compared from perspectives of absolute and relative quantities. Relationships between mobility trends and economic growth are explored using regression analysis with applicable variables such as global outflow number and global GDP, outflow number and GDP in developing countries, inflow number and GDP in developed countries, etc.

The purpose of this study is to explore the social perceptions of the millennial generation in implementing the adaptation of new habits during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted using descriptive quantitative research methods. The online survey was selected using the google form application. The data were taken from 400 respondents of State Higher Education (PTN) students in North Sulawesi as representatives of the millennial generation. The google form application is used to distribute questionnaires to target respondents. From the results of this survey, it can be explained that when the COVID-19 pandemic in the North Sulawesi millennial generation responded by perceiving several things that had been conveyed. Millennial generation respondents indicate that the level of millennial optimism for the sustainability of this life is well felt. Respondents positively respond to an optimistic attitude that routine millennial activities can still be carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic. Millennials in North Sulawesi also believe that the central and local governments can handle this pandemic.

The sharing economy enables the sustainable development of tourism and at the same time contributes to social well-being and economic growth. It also helps to reduce negative impact on the environment and society, and at the same time reduces costs. The purpose of this study is to find out how the sharing economy can contribute to the development of sustainable tourism. This article is intended to identify the opportunities and benefits of the sharing economy in the tourism sector and to describe the impact of the sharing economy on the travel and tourism sector. To achieve this goal, a systematic scientific analysis of literature and quantitative research methods was applied. Seeking development of sustainable tourism, the authors present a theoretical conceptual model that illustrates the contribution of the sharing economy through benefits and factors influencing sharing economy perspectives in tourism. Empirical research was conducted based on factors influencing sharing economy perspectives in tourism transportation services as one of the sharing economy areas. Analysis of the empirical research results showed that the most important factors influencing the respondents’ choices of the ORSC transport sharing platform were price, general approach and comfort.

<p>The advent of Electronic Course Materials (ECM‟s) services in academic libraries has had a remarkable impact on academic libraries, since they provide new prospects for libraries, library staff and various new methods for accessing library services for its users. With the challenge for the librarians growing in multiple scope due to Information Communication Technologies (ICT) applications. This study will look at how and to what degree has the implementation of ECM‟s made an impact on staff‟s work in academic libraries. The purpose of this proposed research study is to explore how Electronic Course Materials (ECM‟s) have affected the work of librarians in academic short loan collection in New Zealand tertiary institutions. This study adopted a mixed-method approach and utilized both qualitative and quantitative research methods. An online survey was applied for this study where questionnaires were sent to the respondents via a URL. This study sought to find out whether ECM‟s have made any impact on staff‟s work. The resulted indicated that ECM‟s setting is in a state of transformation. This transformation has enabled the library staff to learn new technology to work with ECM‟s effectively and this has encouraged them to learn new skills in order to achieve the required results. There is very limited research in this area; this makes it beneficial to investigate this area. Research findings will prove beneficial to the librarians as they could look at the research findings and compare their services with the result. Academic libraries could use new technologies to improve their services, which may help them to support the teaching and learning process.</p>

Abstract BackgroundChina has increasingly emerged as an important player in global health. However, compared to the developed countries, China still lacks the sufficient human resources for global health engagement with limited necessary qualified capacity. The priorities for the deployment of Chinese workforce in global health engagement remains unclear. This study aims to identify the priorities of the deployment of Chinese global health workforce by exploring the core competencies for Chinese global health workforce, factors influencing the deployment and the approach of deployment. MethodA total of 148 key stakeholders from 10 provinces in China conducting global health program during the recent 3 years were selected as the study sample. A structured questionnaire was developed to collect the data on four aspects, including the general information, core competencies, factors influencing deployment, and the deployment way. The questionnaire was distributed to the respondents through an online survey tool. All original data was exported to Microsoft Excel 2010 to calculate the frequency and percentage of every option. The descriptive analysis was made on the priorities of deployment of Chinese global health workforce. ResultsMore than half of respondents 51.4% (76/148) regarded “communication” as the most important competency of Chinese global health workforce while a large portion of Chinese Embassies 50.0% (6/12) and international organizations 75.0% (12/16) believed that “professional skills” was the paramount. In addition, 58.1% (86/148) of the participants agreed that incentive factors (salary, professional title, etc.) are the first factors influencing the deployment, whereas, a majority of 75% (12/16) international organization stakeholders emphasized “security” as the foremost factor. Furthermore, 60.8% (90/148) thought that staff should be deployed align with the needs of global health program implementation. ConclusionThe study shows the priorities of the deployment of Chinese global health workforce, including strengthening the competency of communication and professional skills, stressing the personal security and incentives, and catering to the program implementation.

Entrepreneurship is important for developed countries to sustain their welfare levels and for developing countries to increase their level of welfare. Many entrepreneurs contribute significantly to the national economy of their countries. The purpose of our research is to determine how graduate students' entrepreneurial intentions are related to emotional intelligence and what role creativity plays in this process. This quantitative research study was conducted with graduate students at a private university in the southwest region of the USA. The data were collected from 399 participants via an online survey and analyzed by completing a Structural Equation Modelling. The results showed that entrepreneurial intentions are affected directly and positively by problem-solving skills, emotional self-awareness, and impulse control. Additionally, we found that problem-solving skills affect creativity directly and positively while creativity does not have a direct effect on entrepreneurial intentions.

The questionnaire was distributed to the respondents through an online survey. All original data were exported to Microsoft Excel 2010 to calculate the frequencies and percentages of each option. A descriptive analysis was carried out of the priorities of deployment of the Chinese global health workforce. Results More than half of the respondents (51.4%, 76/148) regarded “communication” as the most important competency of the Chinese global health workforce, while a large proportion of participants from Chinese embassies (50.0%, 6/12) and international organizations (75.0%, 12/16) believed that “professional skills” were paramount. In addition, 58.1% (86/148) of the participants agreed that incentive factors (salary, professional position, etc.) were the main factors that influenced deployment, whereas 75% (12/16) of participants from international organizations emphasized “security” as the most important determinant. In addition, 60.8% (90/148) of the participants thought that the deployment of staff should be based on the needs of the global health project implementation. Conclusions This study highlights the deployment priorities of the Chinese global health workforce, including strengthening communication and professional skills, focusing on personal security and incentives, and catering to the project implementation. This study also highlights the importance of Chinese agencies in developing global health mindsets through global health practices and proactive integration within the global community.

In this research we were looking for the answer to the question whether ethics and compliance whistleblowing systems operating in developed countries can also work in large companies in a central European formerly socialist country where on the one hand ethics institutionalization dates back to a shorter period of time and on the other hand people associate whistleblowing systems with the network of informers and if so, how do they work. The aims of this study are: (1) to introduce the theoretical background the concepts of whistle blowing, (2) to describe the results of international and domestic researches regarding whistleblowing systems, and (3) to use quantitative research methods to investigate the characteristics of whistleblowing systems in large Hungarian companies. The empirical survey indicates that company whistleblowing systems work less efficiently in practice in the surveyed company range which might refer to the deficiency in the external and internal ethics communication as well as to the low level of trust.
