This study aims to identify the role of E-commerce on the auditing practices in the Jordanian banking sector. The sample of this study consisted of 120 selected from five banks in the north region in Jordan. These banks are: The Housing Bank for Trade and Finance, Union Bank, National Bank of Jordan, Arab Bank and Capital Bank, whereas a questionnaire was designed and distributed to them. A total of (100) questionnaire was retrieved that are valid for statistical analysis formed about 83.3% of overall distributed questionnaires; and the questionnaires have been analyzed using SPSS statistical software. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant role of E-commerce in auditing process in the Jordanian commercial banks, beside that it was revealed that Jordanian commercial banks face many types of E-commerce risks associated with auditing, and the most risk that they faced was the lack of the auditors knowledge on the concepts of information technology and how they are used in auditing. This study recommended the Jordanian commercial banks to conduct training courses for their auditors regarding the concepts of information technology, how to use them in auditing and the nature of the websites and how it design.

The adverse macroeconomic consequences of financial crises have heightened research interests in their causes. However, little is known about the role of political influence as a cause of financial crises in small developing countries. This research explores the role of governance as one of the causes of failures in nine of Liberias twelve commercial banks during the financial crises during the period 1986 to 1999. In particular, this paper explores how the government used appointments primarily based on kinship to influence the banking sector and render the National Bank of Liberia ineffective in implementing its regulatory powers. The research found that regulatory standards, weakened by nepotism, led to corruption and mismanagement in the banking sector. In addition, through the governments political influence over the National Bank of Liberia, it was able to finance unsustainable fiscal deficits by borrowing from commercial banks and the National Bank of Liberia, culminating in severe financial crises.

The eleventh issue of Ushus brings to you a wide variety of scholarly articles encompassing socio-economic and managerial issues. The first paper "Information technology and banking sector with reference to customer satisfaction" focuses on the impact of automation of the public sector banks as per the reflections of the bank officials and the customers. The crest of the article lies in the fact that the customers are being able to keep abreast with the exchange of automation in the modern banking practices and the survey brings out their perception towards it and throws some light on the effective ways to deal with this crisis. The study concludes with the analytical results that public sector bank customers have a positive inclination towards technological upgradation but the banks need to be more flexible in their work process and focus on marketing themselves in order to entrap a larger customer base. The paper titled "Administration of micro-credit by national bank" talks about the successful micro-finance initiatives taken by NABARD how aptly they had been implemented and evolved as a sustainable social movement over a decade now.

In this paper an attempt has been made to analyse the progress of SHG-Bank linkage programme in India during the period between 2007-2008 and 2019-2020. The progress of SHG-Bank linkage programme has been analyzed in terms growth of savings of SHGs with banks and growth of bank loans disbursed to SHGs. For this purpose the data required for the study were collected from the official publication of National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD), different published reports, journals and existing available literature. This study employed simple statistical tools such as percentage analysis and averages to analyze the data. The result of the study shows that there is significant raise in the amount of savings of SHGs with banking sector and amount of loans disbursed to SHGs, During this study period. However the agency-wise analyses of savings of SHGs and loans disbursed to SHGs show that the Commercial banks lead in getting savings of SHGs and loans disbursed to them followed by Regional Rural Banks and Co-operative banks. Not with standing the remarkable progress, geographically there has been skewed development of SHG-Bank linkage programme in India. There is wide regional disparity in the spread of SHGs, savings of SHGs with banks and loans disbursed to SHGs under this programme. The outreach of this programme is spectacular in Southern region while North, West and Eastern regions are lagging behind. In view of the large outreach, predominant position and the possible benefits to the poor, it is very important to see the benefits of this programme to reach across all sections of the society and regions. So far the SHG movement is India is mostly South-Centric and it is yet to take off the real sense in other regions of India.

Executive Summary Intellectual capital has recently been receiving increased attention from both academic communities and practitioners, and is identified as an important strategic asset which provides sustainability and yields better performance. It also gives rise to the view that the organizations which possess skilled, creative, and distinctive knowledgeable employees along with supportive organizational structures and systems, and maintains cordial customer relations contribute in achieving superior organizational position. Hence, it is important to understand to what extent intellectual capital is efficiently utilized by specific sectors in creating value for organizations ( Kamath, 2007 ). The present study aims to develop, establish, and empirically validate the intellectual capital scale in the banking sector, in the context of emerging economies like India. Data were collected from three executives each (including one manager and two senior employees) from 144 branches of 21 public and seven private commercial banks operating in Jammu city, India. The three senior most executives were purposively selected because of being more knowledgeable and experienced. The study established the intellectual capital scale as a multidimensional scale comprising human capital, relational capital, and structural capital. All the three dimensions were found to significantly contribute to the intellectual capital, among which relational capital contributed relatively more, followed by human capital and structural capital. Relational capital consists of important items like meeting with customers, customer feedback, and knowledge and regular customer interaction. Similarly, human capital dimension consists of significant items like employee creativity, devoted staff, training and education, experience, attitude, and innovative employees. Structural capital is a composite of valuable items like structure, systems, information technology, capabilities, culture, empowerment, and service quality which helps in developing intellectual capital. The research findings can help bank managers in determining how to generate value using human, structural, and relational capital. For instance, the study findings offer valuable insight into how the managers can improve bank’s structural capital by encouraging innovation ability among employees, positive culture, and strengthening information technology in terms of continuously updating software and hardware. The study is limited to public and private commercial banks operating in Jammu city. In future, the scale validation can be undertaken to investigate whether the three-dimensional intellectual capital scale can be generalized for other industries and countries.

The review is devoted to Vladimir Borisovich Lobanov's monograph “Terek and Dagestan in the Flames of Civil War: Religious, military-political and ideological Confrontation in the 1917—1920s”, which touches on all the most important aspects of life in the North Caucasus in the era of revolution and Civil War. There is a serious source base of the study, which has absorbed, perhaps, a critical mass of documents on the problem, which allowed us to draw convincing conclusions. Lobanov highlighted the key aspects of the chosen topic: the development of autonomous self-government institutions in the North Caucasus against the background of the collapse of statehood, the Islamic factor in the Civil War, the emergence and activity of the spectrum of anti-Bolshevik forces, the role of the Cossacks and the Volunteer Army in military-political processes in the region. He also pays attention to the revolutionaries who played a significant role in the establishment of Soviet power in the region, analyzes the reasons for the victory of the Bolsheviks in the North Caucasus.

The study focuses on the basic variables of the knowledge economy, where aims to know the role of the knowledge economy in the banking sector and solving the problems facing Libyan commercial banks in the development of banking services. In order to achieve the main purpose of the study, we used the descriptive-analytical method, by using the questionnaire. Where we surveyed a total of 320 employees at six commercial banks operating in the eastern region of Libya. Through incoming questionnaires, we have analyzed 299 questionnaires. The results of the analysis showed a positive relationship between the knowledge economy and the development of banking services and that the knowledge economy plays an active role in the development of banking services, as the sub-variables of the knowledge economy are knowledge, skills, education, IT infrastructure, speed, access to service, research and development, Innovation, institutional regime, economic incentives as well as the sub-dimensions of the developing of banking services that represented in online banking, data transfer services, the use of technology, and customer relations. all of them show a high positive relationship among them. Also, the study includes information on whether there are differences between the knowledge economy and the development of banking services in the banks included in the research. The results of the study showed that knowledge, skills, training, economic incentives, and institutional regime vary according to banks

Importance to identifying how diversity affects individual and group productivity in todays globalized world is increasing. The purpose of this research lies in the phenomenon of diversity and further analysis of the impact that diversity has on the work environment. To conduct this research, I interviewed 20 managers and 30 employees of the banking sector regarding the composition of their staff with emphasis on diversity. The data were processed using the statistical analysis of SPSS program. Human resources have positively influenced the increase of success, productivity and has eased problem solving, bettered performance, training, salary, and diversity of employees. This study will have practical significance in the easier approach of problems in human resource management and their motivation.

This research intended to identify the role of Information Technology (IT)in customer satisfaction at the commercial banks in the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain. The study used the descriptive analytical approach and the questionnaire to measure the impact of IT on customer satisfaction. After distributing the questionnaire, data then were analyzed using SPSS software and we had the following results: There is no statistically significant impact for the availability of devices on customer satisfaction at the commercial banks in the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain. It was also revealed that there a statistically significant impact for software, databases, human resources, and networks on customer satisfaction at the commercial banks in the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Purpose - This study relies on the descriptive and analytical approach through collecting and analyzing the necessary data, as this approach focuses on polling the opinions of the research sample and its directions, and aims to develop a model that studies the relationship between knowledge creation and organizational ambidexterity in Iraqi private banks and verifying its validity experimentally. Design / Methodology / Introduction - A survey was conducted through a questionnaire form to collect data from a sample of (113) managers in private commercial banks. In addition, this study used the AMOS program and the ready-to-use statistical program package (SPSS V.25) to test the proposed hypotheses of the theoretical model experimentally. Results - The results show that knowledge creation has a significant and positive indirect effect on stimulating organizational ambidexterity in private commercial banks through its effect on exploiting opportunities in the workplace and exploring opportunities in the external environment of banks. Practical effects - to improve knowledge creation, bank management must pay more attention to it as a strategic resource to create wealth and added value to enable organizations to grow and survive through training courses, holders of higher degrees and attract knowledge expertise in addition to the need to maximize cultural awareness towards improving the organizational ambidexterity of banks, especially in Exploiting the bank's internal opportunities, both material and human, according to the current circumstances, through rewards moral and material incentives.   Originality / Value - This study complements and advances previous research on knowledge creation in several ways. First, the current study proposes a conceptual model that illustrates the interrelationships between the main variables in Iraqi private banks. Second, this study explores the role of organizational ambidexterity that benefits from exploiting and exploring opportunities in the context of knowledge acquisition, accumulation and exchange. Thus, overcoming the challenges associated with creating knowledge.
