The scientific basis and the development of research on new solutions for organic production of fodder and their conversion into animal products with high biological value, maintaining biodiversity and environmental protection, have created the premises for promoting new technologies to improve, rehabilitate and enhance the grasslands, which are in accordance with a sustainable and efficient agriculture practice. In this chapter the technological solutions and technical equipment for improving the permanent grasslands by total renovation, specific to each stationary area conditions, are presented. The basis of new technologies or technological sequences for improving the degraded grasslands is composition and utilization of complex aggregates, consisting of specific machines and equipment, using the recent research achievements in the field of grassland farming. It is also intended that the proposed technological solutions eliminate or limit the effect of external restrictive factors so as to ensure a high feed production and a high feed value, meeting the agrotechnical requirements for each agricultural component operation. For highlighting the advantages of using the specific machines, traditional technologies, within are used common farming machines and new technologies, when are used specific machinery for grassland farming, are analyzed in comparison. To improve the degraded grasslands by reseeding method, new technologies and technological sequences use different complex aggregates, which perform in a pass 2 or even 3 operations, such as: clearing of non-valuable vegetation, hillocks and liming; tillage and liming; seedbed preparation and spreading the chemical fertilizers; rolling before sowing, sowing, rolling after sowing; the destruction of the old grass carpet, seedbed preparing, sowing and rolling after sowing and fertilization with chemical fertilizers; fertilization with chemical fertilizers, rolling before sowing, sowing and rolling after sowing. Compared to traditional technologies, new technologies and technological sequences for improving the degraded grasslands, require reduced fuel consumption and labor, with a lower number of aggregate passes.

<div><p><em>The article presents the dynamics of the main factors for the development of modern television, the transition from traditional technologies of television broadcasting to the latest technologies. The process of developing digital television and broadband has been technically determined to address the challenge of integrating new technologies into traditional TV content. Ways of expanding the possibilities of interaction between the viewer and the television producer in the context of overcoming the crisis of traditional technologies are analyzed. It is determined that integration, development of mobile communications and Internet technologies are a hallmark of the modern world media space and have a significant influence on the formation of public opinion. The analysis of actual media researches concerning problems of the theory of mass communication is carried out. The phenomenon of «social television», which combines watching TV with simultaneous communication in social networks, is considered. The author draws attention to the disclosure of the determining factors of media communication, the study of the process of feedback from viewers on television. It is stated that the development of modern technologies, namely digital broadcasting and introduction of broadband Internet access to create a multimedia platform that combines Internet communication services and television content, contributes to improving the mechanism of interaction between the TV and the viewer. The theory of the conceptualization of journalism based on identity construction is examined: journalists understand their audience and, as members of that audience, connect with their communities. An analysis of integrated journalistic activity is conducted, which consists of three stages: gathering, editing and disseminating information. It is determined that the influence of the Internet allows the consumer to play his or her role at each stage, thus helping the journalist determine the degree of relevance of the story to himself and to the potential audience. The common features of modern telecontent were singled out and a comparative analysis of the trend of development of interactive TV programs of the USA, UK and Ukraine was made.</em></p></div><p><strong><em>Key words:</em></strong><em> public opinion, two-vector communication, feedback, communication methods, television audience, country telephony.</em></p>

Psychomotor experience can be based on what people predict they will experience, rather than on sensory inputs. It has been argued that disconnects between human experience and sensory inputs can be addressed better through further development of predictive processing theory. In this paper, the scope of predictive processing theory is extended through three developments. First, by going beyond previous studies that have encompassed embodied cognition but have not addressed some fundamental aspects of psychomotor functioning. Second, by proposing a scientific basis for explaining predictive processing that spans objective neuroscience and subjective experience. Third, by providing an explanation of predictive processing that can be incorporated into the planning and operation of systems involving robots and other new technologies. This is necessary because such systems are becoming increasingly common and move us farther away from the hunter-gatherer lifestyles within which our psychomotor functioning evolved. For example, beliefs that workplace robots are threatening can generate anxiety, while wearing hardware, such as augmented reality headsets and exoskeletons, can impede the natural functioning of psychomotor systems. The primary contribution of the paper is the introduction of a new formulation of hierarchical predictive processing that is focused on psychomotor functioning.

In a previous short term study, Ferris et al. (1997) demonstrated that similar levels of nutrient intake and animal performance could be obtained by either increasing silage feed value and reducing concentrate feed level, or by reducing silage feed value and increasing concentrate feed level. The principles established in this study were incorporated into this trial to examine two systems of milk production over a full lactation, including both the winter and grazing periods.Forty high genetic merit dairy cows (PTA95 fat + protein = 38.2 kg), in their second or subsequent lactation, were used in a continuous design full lactation study. Animals had a mean calving date of 1 November and were allocated to one of two systems of milk production, HF or HC, within 36 hours of calving. During the winter, animals on system HF were offered a silage with high feed value characteristics, supplemented with 5.5 kg of concentrate (crude protein concentration of 280 g/kg DM) through an out-of-parlour feeding system.

Natural nitrogen isotope abundance (δ15N) has been suggested as a potential indicator for discriminating organic vegetables from their conventional counterparts. However, little is known about the δ15N characteristic of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea L. var. botrytis) under organic production and how the application of chemical fertilizers could affect this characteristic. In this study, δ15N characteristics of cauliflower (including the intra-plant δ15N characteristic) and soil under different fertilization treatments were investigated under field conditions. Five treatments were laid out: control, chemical fertilizers (F4M0), organic fertilizer (F0M4), and chemical fertilizer in combination with organic fertilizer at the ratio of 3:1 (F3M1) and 1:3 (F1M3). Results showed that plant δ15N was positively correlated with fertilizer δ15N and plant root/flower was more sensitive to changes of fertilizer δ15N and soil δ15N than leaf/stem. Distribution of δ15N in different plant parts (especially in flower and leaf) was significantly changed when organic fertilizers were partially or totally substituted by chemical fertilizers, suggesting a comparison of flower δ15N and leaf δ15N might be applicable for the organic identification of marketed cauliflowers. Our results provide fundamental data for the soil- and fertilizer-specific crop δ15N database and indicate that the intra-plant δ15N characteristic could be helpful for organic cauliflower identification.

In recent years great progress is made in technical equipment of large blast furnace in China. A series of new process, technologies and equipment, integrated and developed on our own, are applied on newly built large blast furnaces and have been proved to be highly effective. After more than 20 years’ development and innovation of the bell-less top equipment designed and developed on our own, it has reached the advanced level in the world in terms of equipment reliability and service life; fully-dry impulse bag filter dedusting technology of BF gas, which is also developed on our own, has gained technical breakthroughs in terms of optimized system design, gas temperature control, pneumatic conveying of dedusting fines; the integrated innovative high-efficiency long-life high-temperature technology, through applying high-temperature preheating technology of combustion air, improving heat transfer efficiency of hot blast stove and optimizing structure of the hot blast stove system, enables the blast temperature to reach 1250°C with BF gas as fuel.

Maize silage can be produced at a similar cost to grazed grass and is approximately 20% cheaper than grass silage (Keady et al., 2002). Recent studies have shown that maize silage inclusion in the diet increases the performance of dairy (Keady et al., 2003, 2008) and beef (Keady and Gordon, 2006, Keady et al., 2007) cattle and has a concentrate sparing effect of up to 2.5 kg and 5.0 kg, respectively (Keady, 2005). Previous studies at Athenry have shown that maize silage, regardless of maturity at harvest, results in similar levels of ewe and subsequent lamb performance relative to high feed-value grass silage, (Keady and Hanrahan, 2008, 2009). The objective of the current study was to evaluate the effects level and type of concentrate supplementation of maize silage diets on ewe and subsequent lamb performance.

Recent developments in maize breeding and in agronomic practices, particularly the development of degradable full cover plastic mulch, have resulted in the possibility of consistently producing high yields of high starch maize silage in Northern Ireland. However, there is considerable variability in the quality of maize and grass silages produced. In a recent study Keady et al. (2002) concluded that the highest yield of fat and protein from dairy cows was obtained from maize silage ensiled at approximately 30% dry matter (DM) when offered as 40% of the forage component of the diets consisting of either medium or high feed value grass silages supplemented with concentrates. Also Keady et al. (2002) concluded that replacing 40% of the grass silage component of the diet with maize silage had a concentrate sparing effect, as determined for milk yield, of up to 1.9 kg/cow/d. The objective of the current study was to examine further the effect of maturity of maize silage at harvest on the performance of dairy cattle offered grass silages differing in feed value. The potential concentrate sparing effect of contrasting maize silages was also examined.

The aim of the article is to assess the level and directions of changes in the subjective structures of animal products processing in the food industry in Poland in 2004 -2015. Considerations were started from the comparison of changes in the subjective structures of the food industry in Poland and the European Union. In the following, changes in the share of individual groups of enterprises were presented, both in the total number of entities, average employment, and in the value of sold production, and the impact of these changes on labor productivity in the analyzed groups of enterprises. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the integration processes with the EU and globalization have had a significant impact on the concentration processes in the animal product industries (investments in modernization and adjustment of production to Community requirements). The process of changes in entity structures in this segment was faster than in the entire food industry and was diversified in the industry. The improvement of work efficiency was the result of more production, with relatively stable employment, but also the increase in the technical equipment of work.

Regulation of scientific and technical progress is the most important block of an economic mechanism in the developed countries now. In article organizational and economic bases of innovative processes in agriculture of the leading economies of the world are formulated. The main directions in development of scientific and technical progress are allocated. The conclusion is drawn that as shows studying of foreign experience, improvement of the innovative mechanism at a separate stage not necessarily increases effectiveness of process in general. If the valuable funda-mental ideas aren't used for development of new technological processes, and new technologies don't turn into goods of social demand or find only very narrow application in local spheres, then the capacity of the NTP this direction is practically not implemented for consumer demand.

Organic production of vegetable and fruit crops in Kentucky is gaining ground. Acreage and grower numbers are increasing. Health concerns and certain economic advantages for the grower are the impetus for rise in organic production. There is a need to collate cultural practice information and present it in a usable form for Kentucky. Work is being done to consolidate information on cultural practices, current research, and marketing opportunities. To address these concerns, older extension horticultural publications are being amended and new bulletins are being written. To accomplish this, grower meetings, farm visits, scouting for problems in crops, conducting research, and sifting through literature are some of the steps being taken. The greater implementation of cultural practices such as rotations, cover crops, green manures, living mulches, and minimum tillage are helping to reduce dependence on chemical sprays, chemical fertilizers, and soil destroying practices. Through this liaison, we are bringing together a new group of agricultural producers with interdepartmental specialists within the university and new insights and partnerships are being forged.
