Sustained implementation of the optimization processes of the airlines commercial activities is indispensable for timely and appropriate business decisions. Development of the commercial air transport make necessary the standardization of the documents, regulatory issues and procedures followed by different modes of commercial agreements. It is especially present when itinerary of the journey includes at least two different air carriers. The modes of commercial cooperation are very different from the simple one to the very sophisticated and complex activities asking for harmonization of many elements and functional areas. It includes special prorate agreements which harmonize the revenue share between the air companies after the negotiations. Next level of the cooperation are code sharing agreements more and more present in business practice. Same conclusion is valid for joint venture agreements. The highest level of the cooperation are airline alliances which are analysed with the most recent results and indicators. Airlines are recognized leaders in implementation of modern information technologies with very sophisticated applications, data platforms and software solutions. Therefore, it is very important to follow and implement trends in e-commerce activities including e-marketing, e-sales and distribution and use of different on line and mobile platforms.

Innovations change the world in all spheres of life, and education is not an exception. Modern requirements of time put us new challenges that require the use of new information technologies at all stages of the educational process in higher education institutions, in particular the use of the Internet. In addition, it has been noted that Internet resources increase motivation and contribute to the formation of a fully developed personality. Testing and evaluating students' knowledge and abilities is an integral part of the credit-module system. One of the forms of evaluation of the initial level of knowledge, consolidation and improvement of assimilation of information is testing. It should be noted that in a number of countries, testing has shifted traditional forms of control — oral and written exams and interviews. However, in Ukraine, educators remain adherents of a combination of testing and classical analysis of material. It allows the most efficient distribution of the training time of a practical class, 100% control of the knowledge and the effectiveness of mastering the material of all the students of the academic group. Technical progress stimulates the search for new variants and possibilities of testing, its various variations. One of the options that can help solve this problem was a smartphone. In order to facilitate the work of the teacher at the Department of Microbiology, an online testing system with the use of smartphones was introduced. Online testing is conducted among students with Ukrainian and English language training. With the Google Forms platform, the teacher creates a form which contains the student's records and tests. Students directly from the teacher get a link to fill out an online form directly at the lesson. For testing, a database containing standard KROK-1 licensed test tasks is used. The form can contain any number of test tasks that are in arbitrary order, as well as a changed order of distractors, which makes it impossible to write off. At the same time, all students are in the same conditions: all write one option. After submitting the form, the student receives a notification that his response is recorded. Re-linking is not possible. In turn, the teacher receives a message on the result of the test in the table — the ratio of correct answers to the total number of questions, as well as options for their answers. First and foremost, questions are displayed on which students gave the largest number of incorrect answers. This allows the topic to be considered in the process of discussion of the most difficult tasks from the students perspective, and in the future it will allow more efficiently to create forms for on-line tests and to focus on these issues.

This case focuses on the challenges faced by a Malaysian state-owned automobile manufacturer, Proton. In so doing, it exemplifies the political context in which businesses, both domestic and foreign, operate in Malaysia. What makes Proton unique is its origin as the brainchild of Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohammad, Malaysia's fourth Prime Minister. Mahathir was one of the longest-serving leaders in Asia when he resigned in 2003. Over his 22-year reign, Mahathir and his government made several fundamental changes to Malaysia's institutions and his legacy is still reflected in the current social, political and economic institutions. One of the more controversial economic programs he championed was the National Car Project, under which Proton was established. When Mahathir decided to industrialise Malaysia's economy, he did not look to the west for direction, but instead turned to the east — Japan. He adopted the Japanese economic development model that emphasises hands-on government involvement in the economy. To form Proton, he selected Japanese Mitsubishi Motors as the joint venture partner and within two years Proton was rolling out its own vehicles, which in effect were the “rebadged” version of Mitsubishi's Lancer. To ensure there were customers for Proton vehicles, the government raised import tariffs, making it very expensive to buy foreign imports. It also made Proton the official supplier for almost all government passenger vehicles. Under the protection policies of Mahathir, Proton grew to dominate the domestic market. However, it was unable to succeed in obtaining the desired technology from its Japanese partner, or in developing the ability to survive independently and compete effectively, especially in the international market. Part of Proton's weakness stemmed from its social agenda, which favoured bumiputera suppliers, even at the expense of cost and quality efficiency. Proton therefore serves as a good example to illustrate what can happen to a business when it is over-protected, and when business decisions are not made on merit-based principles. Proton's weaknesses were further exposed when the government allowed the establishment of a second national automaker, Perodua, in 1993. The recent free-trade policies adopted by the ASEAN countries, and also by China and India, have put even more pressure on Proton to transform. But the question is how?

This paper discusses pedagogical and technological aspects of networked learning and the interplay between pedagogical principles, information technology and the educa-tional and organisational frameworks in the context of a distance-teaching course for Danish graduates seeking research-based further education and training in English for medical purposes. The empirical basis is an evaluation report of a second generation distance-teaching course where applied information technologies are geared to maxi-mum pedagogical efficiency by presenting on-line course materials in a flat visual de-sign and by facilitating dialogue between course participants working in teams.

For the last few decades there has been growing interest in making more integrated business decisions across larger segments of the logistic and distribution networks. Modern information technology is allowing this idea to be implemented, but there is need to develop a way of effective use of information technologies that support this business direction. In this paper a methodology to assist distribution networks reengineering with the aim of integrating logistic processes within the distribution supply chain has been promoted. The emphasis of methodology is on the business processes modelling and reengineering in the distribution network. Finally, this paper presents an oil company case study to illustrate how the methodology can be applied in practice. Keywords: distribution process, business process modelling, reengineering, information sharing, logistics

Work's purpose is an opening of information technologies role in distant education for development of subject activity. As a result of research the role of information technologies in distant education for development of subject activity is exposed. It is rotined psychological phenomenon of subject activity is determined as a measure of purposefulness display of individual acivity which is aimed at transformation of external (objective) or/and internal (subjective) reality. In a copula with forming of independence, criticism of perception, intention and abilities for permanent self-training, activity and initiativeness, information educational technologies are connected for condition forming, in which high-efficiency thought and subject activity are formed. Learner is perceived not as passive object of learning, but as an active subject which internalizes knowledge in the process of his/her activity, carries out subject activity, puts and achieves educational goals. Setting of learning aims of students from teacher's side is replaced by their own educational aims determination, construction of individual trajectories and rates of education, depending on own personality features, necessities, advantages and persuasions. Thus, information technologies become not instruments of teachers influence on students for translation of «prepared knowledges», but instruments of opening of their own subject activity, independent intellectual creation, thought. Distant learning and education, foremost in the context of virtual educational environments functioning, are factors of subject activity development of educational process participants. Among technologies assist this development, distant educational courses, internet trainings, webinars, video conferences, on-line discussions in the format of chats and groups in social networks etc. are especially selected.

The Internet has largely been greeted as a technology able to create new spaces of political debate. In order to investigate the issue, scholars have paid attention to how transnational social movements use new information technologies. This has been done mainly exploring the use of the World Wide Web (WWW). However, new political spaces do not take place just on the WWW, and by consequence, research in this field cannot solely carry out Web analysis to explore the role played by the Internet in creating political debate. In looking at other areas of the Internet to understand the creation of new political space, other analytical approaches need to be adopted. The Internet also includes tools other than the WWW, such as E-Mailing Lists, collaborative on-line software, Peer-to-Peer Networks, Instant Messaging tools, and so forth. This paper explores the role that E-Mailing Lists play in creating new political spaces. To explore if and how this happens, I illustrate this crucial point with an analysis of the use of E-Mailing Lists by social movements. The case I will use is that of the organization of the protest during the G8 Summit held in Genoa in July 2001.

The development of information technologies in recent years has transformed our society into a “hyper-connected space” in which the pitfalls, the risks, as well as the damages to the victims have grown exponentially. Identity theft, hacking, information piracy, threats to data integrity, on-line scams, or CEO fraud are the commonplace keywords that are part of the internet of things. Cybercrime can cause serious harm and long-term effects, whether the victims are individuals or companies. It is important to address the definition of “cybercrime,” since the term itself refers to a harmful behavior that is in some way related to a single computer or to a computer network and examine the main types of computer crimes in order to understand which countermeasures can be implemented to counteract these phenomena where the human factor is the fundamental component to promote the concept of “conscious attention” as a necessary resource to limit the risks of “cyber victimization.”

Dont stick your neck out or youre liable to get it chopped off is an old clichthat applies to decision making. The literature indicates that all business decisions involve risk taking. This is true for all functional areas of business, including accounting. The purpose of this research is to investigate the propensity or inclination to take risk and the management accountant. Specifically, the study focuses on difference in risk-taking propensity between certified and noncertified controllers The study finds significant difference. In addition the research checks to see if there is a difference in risk-taking propensity between male and female controllers. Again, the study finds significant difference.
