This article discusses the factors that influence the fulfillment welfare of child scavengers. Using the ecological system theory this article illustrates how risk factors are located at different ecosystem levels that can have a direct and indirect impact on child scavengers. This research uses qualitative research method with descriptive research type. The data were collected by observation and in-depth interviews on teachers, parents and scavengers. The results of the study stated that there are influential factors that are included in the risk factors faced by children at each level of the system. In micro-systems there are risk factors derived from the influence of parents, school teaching and peer groups. At the level of meso-system can be derived from the relationship between parents and teachers, at the exo-system level there are factors that affect the child that is from the social and economic conditions of the family, living conditions and the lack of social support for parents. At the macro-system level can be how the mindset and lifestyle that exist in the scavengers community environment can affect the development of scavengers. Recognizing the existing risk factors at every level of life of child scavengers can be applied in the development of more effective intervention strategies for the fulfillment welfare of child scavengers.

Modifiable lifestyle-related risk factors are the object of increasing attention, with a view to primary and tertiary prevention, to limit the onset and development of diseases. Also in the urological field there is accumulating evidence of the relationship between urological diseases and lifestyle-related risk factors that can influence their incidence and prognosis. Risk factors such as nutrition, physical activity, sexual habits, tobacco smoking, or alcohol consumption can be modified to limit morbidity and reduce the social impact and the burdensome costs associated with diagnosis and treatment. This review synthesizes the current clinical evidence available on this topic, trying to satisfy the need for a summary on the relationships between the most important lifestyle factors and the main benign urological diseases, focusing on benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), infections urinary tract (UTI), urinary incontinence (UI), stones, erectile dysfunction, and male infertility.

Goals: The aim of this study was to analyze the scientific production on the relationship between school and community in the perspective of Health Promotion. Method: Integrative review. The search was guided by question: How has the relationship between school and community occurred in Health Promotion? Results: Nine studies were selected in Portuguese, Spanish and English, published from April 2006 to April 2016. Most of the rescued studies showed that the type of relationship between school and community has based on actions that are not linked to the principles of Health Promotion, mostly focused on the individual, without considering collective issues, risk factors that cause illness, disconnected from the social context. Few studies present advances in Health Promotion with a critical-citizen perspective and experiences with the potential for the necessary establishment of the school and community relation. Conclusion: Although the relationship between school and community in the perspective of Health Promotion presents as elementary and not deepened, the successful experiences show good prospects of overcoming. It is necessary to move forward and bring the relationship between school and community in a synergetic movement in favor of Health Promotion. Descriptors: Health promotion; School; Community.

The National Museum of Indonesia has a unique statue of a god depicted wearing a turban. The museum manager named this statue Shiva Mahadeva based on the third eye’s presence on his forehead. Based on this uniqueness, a more in-depth study carried out by taking the question What is the meaning of the turban-shaped head covering the statue’s depiction? Is there a connection between the depiction and the arts and culture of the community? This study aims to know the meaning implied in depicting the turban and trying to find out the social picture of the statuemaking community. This study conducted using descriptive research methods with contextual analysis. This study indicates that the statue depicted is not a statue of Shiva Mahadeva but a combination of Shiva and Vishnu known as Hariharamurti. The turban’s meaning is similar to the crown carved on the statue, which shows the character’s dignity and majesty. The life of the community’s arts and culture influences the depiction of the Hariharamurti statue, which is synonymous with freedom without leaving religious rules. In general, the arts and cultural aspects of the community that affect the statue are indicated as a community environment closely related to the priest/rishi’s activities.

Abstract Objective: To describe the experiences lived by mothers facing the death of their children. Method: A qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research conducted in Guarapuava-PR, with six participants of the "Marias" group that brings together mothers who lost their children and share their experiences to spontaneously help other women in the process of mourning. Data collection took place from May to August 2017, through a focus group. The speeches were organized by the Iramuteq® software and analyzed according to Creswell. Results: Age ranged from 28 to 40 years old, and most participants were married and catholic. The categories express the need to strengthen bonds and to create ways in which women can express themselves; the importance of the social network to accommodate mourning; the relevance of ethical and humanized care; and group identity as an element to promote resilience. Conclusion and Implications for practice: Describing the potentialities and weaknesses in the process of loss and grief enables a qualifying and humanizing care, overcoming care gaps, stimulating the creation of creative and dialogical spaces in maternal care. These results may guide the professional approach by considering the sociocultural context and the risk factors experienced by the mothers, by supporting the development of resilient skills and enabling a humanized and individualized care.

Background Sarcoidosis is a granulomatous disease usually affecting the lungs, although cardiac morbidity may be common. The risk of these outcomes and the characteristics that predict them remain largely unknown. This study investigates the epidemiology of heart failure, atrioventricular block, and ventricular tachycardia among patients with and without sarcoidosis. Methods and Results We identified California residents aged ≥21 years using the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development ambulatory surgery, emergency, or inpatient databases from 2005 to 2015. The risk of sarcoidosis on incident heart failure, atrioventricular block, and ventricular tachycardia were each determined. Linkage to the Social Security Death Index was used to ascertain overall mortality. Among 22 527 964 California residents, 19 762 patients with sarcoidosis (0.09%) were identified. Sarcoidosis was the strongest predictor of heart failure (hazard ratio [HR], 11.2; 95% CI, 10.7–11.7), atrioventricular block (HR, 117.7; 95% CI, 103.3–134.0), and ventricular tachycardia (HR, 26.1; 95% CI, 24.2–28.1) identified among all risk factors. The presence of any cardiac involvement best predicted each outcome. Approximately 22% (95% CI, 18%–26%) of the relationship between sarcoidosis and increased mortality was explained by the presence of at least 1 of these cardiovascular outcomes. Conclusions The magnitude of risk associated with sarcoidosis as a predictor of heart failure, atrioventricular block, and ventricular tachycardia, exceeds all established risk factors. Surveillance for and anticipation of these outcomes among patients with sarcoidosis is indicated, and consideration of a sarcoidosis diagnosis may be prudent among patients with heart failure, atrioventricular block, or ventricular tachycardia.

Oxytocin (OT) is a neuropeptide that modulates social behaviors and the social brain. The effects of OT on the social brain can be tracked by assessing the neural activity in the resting and task states, providing a system-level framework for characterizing state-based functional relationships of its distinct effect. Here, we contribute to this framework by examining how OT modulates social brain network correlations during the resting and task states using fMRI. Firstly, we investigated network activation, followed by analyzing the relationship between networks and individual differences measured by the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule and the Big-Five scales. Subsequently, we evaluated functional connectivity in both states. Finally, the relationship between networks across the states was represented by the predictive power of networks in the resting state for task-evoked activity. The difference in predicted accuracy between subjects displayed individual variations in this relationship. Our results showed decreased dorsal default mode network (DDMN) for OT group in the resting state. Additionally, only in the OT group, the activity of the DDMN in the resting state had the largest predictive power for task-evoked activation of the precuneus network (PN). The results also demonstrated OT reduced individual variation of PN, specifically, the difference of accuracy between predicting a subject's own and others' PN task activation. These findings suggest a distributed but modulatory effect of OT on the association between resting brain networks and task-dependent brain networks, showing increased DDMN to PN connectivity after OT administration, which may support OT-induced distributed processing during task performance.

SynopsisThe question of where to place the chronically mentally disabled in the community is essential in this era of brief hospitalization practices. This report examines the effects of the social conditions of the environment on the length of stay in the community for a sample of 119 multiple admission schizophrenics in New York City. Patients returned to a variety of family and non-family living arrangements in poor and depressed areas of the city. The relationship between characteristics of the living arrangements and the patients' clinical functioning and rate of rehospitalization was examined. The findings show that there is no significant differential effect of the type of living arrangement on rehospitalization or clinical functioning, and that these factors did not contribute significantly to the prediction of successful adjustment. However, the socio-emotional characteristics of the environment - i.e. social support and interpersonal stress - together are stronger predictors of outcome than are available out-patient treatment programmes. The findings emphasize the importance of environmental variables as factors independent of the effect of treatment on rehospitalization.

Objective – Contractors’ All Risks (CAR) Takaful is completely different from CAR conventional insurance. CAR conventional insurance involves elements of usury (riba), gambling (maysir) and uncertainty (gharar) in their resources and operations which is prohibited by Shari’ah. This paper aims to investigate the relationship between attitude, awareness, understanding, religiosity, subjective norm, service quality and role of agents with contractor’s intention in choosing CAR Takaful products based on theory of planned behaviour (TPB). In addition, this paper aims to address the most influential factors that affect contractor’s intention in choosing CAR Takaful products. Design/methodology – Using primary data collection method, 421 questionnaires were distributed to target respondents comprising Bumiputera contractors in Malaysia except for Sabah and Sarawak, who are registered with CIDB from grade G1 to grade G7 and also a member of Persatuan Kontraktor Melayu Malaysia (PKMM). The data were analysed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 25. Results – This study's results reveal a significant relationship between attitude, awareness, understanding, religiosity, subjective norm, service quality, and role of agents with contractor’s intention in choosing CAR Takaful product. In addition, this research also verifies that attitude is the most important factor that affects contractor’s intention in choosing CAR Takaful products. Contribution – This paper will bring significant benefits to the Takaful operators and Takaful agents in Malaysia to formulate additional strategies, policies and service quality to attract Bumiputera contractors to choose CAR Takaful product.

Abstract: The majority of the Zimbabwean retail companies were in the collapsing mode over the past ten years. This miserable predicament necessitated the government to craft locally-driven remedies, and one of them was the Buy Zimbabwe campaign. This prompted the researcher to assess the impact of the “Buy Zimbabwe” campaign on the performance of the Zimbabwean firms. The study objectives were to establish the impact of “buy Zimbabwe” campaign on demand for local products and factors affecting demand for local products. Furthermore to establish if a company participating in the “buy Zimbabwe” campaign performs better than non-participating firms, earnings per Share was used in the inter-firm performance comparison. The descriptive research design was employed, although the research was both quantitative and qualitative in nature. The classical linear multiple regression analysis was used to establish and explain the relationship between company performances. The results indicated a positive linear relationship between “buy Zimbabwe” campaign and company performance in case of those that adopted Buy Zimbabwe, whereas in case of those that did not adopt Buy Zimbabwe there was a negative linear relationship. The results also discloses that quality and affordability of the product are the most influential factors affect demand for local products and buy Zimbabwe campaign was regarded as the least factor to be considered by consumers. Results from this study point towards the need to put in place supportive policies for the “buy Zimbabwe” campaign to be effective. Keywords: Buy Zimbabwe, retail sector, local products, competitiveness, customer loyalty
