This chapter discusses Sacrifice's spiritual education. Fascist mysticism promotes a number of values, including love of family, loyalty to friends, fairness in sports competitions, solidarity with the poor, love for Italy, voluntary service, and physical exercise. These values, however, can be considered “secondary.” There are three primary values in revolutionary Fascism. The first value is the courage one demonstrates by accepting or provoking fights with the enemy. The second value is sacrifice: fighting even though one knows he cannot win. The third value is honor, which Sacrifice comrades consider a consequence of courage and sacrifice. The greater the willingness of Sacrifice comrades to fight against a stronger enemy, the greater the honor. The chapter then describes the books that the Lenintown and Mussolinia militia members read. Everyone agrees that the books of Niccolò Giani, Léon Degrelle, Julius Evola, and Corneliu Condreanu are fundamental for entering the mental universe of the Sacrifice militants.

Aim. To identify current trends in hospital eye trauma based on the materials of the specialized ophthalmology department of a round-the-clock hospital. Materials and methods. The analysis of medical records of patients treated in the round-the-clock specialized ophthalmology department of the state medical establishment OKB No. 2 in the period since January 2017-2019. Results. During the analyzed period, 4948 patients were treated, of which 218 patients (5.6%) were identified for nosologies belonging to the category of eye trauma. Men are most often exposed to eye injuries (84%), in addition, in 62% of cases, these are young patients (18-44 years). The structure of eye trauma is almost unchanged: the leading position is occupied by penetrating wounds of the eyeball and contusions, the third place is occupied by burns, through wounds of the eyeball are rare. Conclusions. Given the poor prognosis of the outcome of a severe eyeball injury, it requires the introduction of modern types of microsurgical intervention using endovitreal surgery at the present stage.

This paper focused on the structure of the growth stories, especially in surveying Gangbaek Lee’s (이강백) drama “Like Looking at the Flower in the Mid-winter (동지섣달 꽃 본 듯이)”. It is structured by ‘rule of the three’. In this text, three sons go to seek their mother, they experience the tests three times. Third son wins the game because he succeeds to find his true and alternative mother. It is similar to the story of English fairy tale “Three Little Pigs”.  In Freudian terms, the characters of the both texts are superego, ego and id. The core of the growth story is that third son (id) wins the first son (superego) and the second son (ego) by using his own energy (meaningful labor). In Levi Strauss’ terms, the contrast between the third and the others can be schemed the contrast between culture and nature. Lee’s drama presents the third son as the real hero who overcomes two elder brothers. The first is so conservative (oversleep), the second is so selfish (overeat). Two brothers were too political or too ideal to become a true, humanistic and warm-minded adult. In his view, ‘drama’ related to the third son is the most humanistic and warm-minded action in the world. These both stories are based on the plot ‘rags to riches’ which contains the success of the poor and powerless. In other words, the poor and weak child can grow to the true hero, and reach the final destination, according to the Gustav Jung’s expression, ‘the Self as a Whole’.

The aim of this article is twofold. First, it collects and discusses the evidence that supports A. M. Belardinelli's identification of the speakers in lines 150–271 of Menander's Sikyonioi; her reconstruction can also be strengthened and improved upon in some important details. Further, a re-examination of line 169 allows for a new interpretation of the staging of the play: three stage doors need to be active, and the third stage building is a shrine which Eleusinios enters to take part in the sacrifice.

ABSTRACT The evolution of dementia is strongly related to cognitive, motor, and functional changes and to the presence of cardiovascular diseases. Disturbances vary according to phase of dementia and can limit instrumental and basic activities of daily living. The aim of this study was to analyze the immediate physiological effects of listening to music before physical exercise in institutionalized older people with moderate to advanced dementia. A randomized trial was conducted with 18 institutionalized older people with dementia (mean age was 79 years old, 52.6% were female), who were divided into a Training with Music Group (TWMG) and a Training without Music Group (TWtMG). The evaluation included heart rate (HR), blood pressure (BP) and HR variability (HRV). The assessment was conducted in a closed environment or in places with minimal visual and auditory stimulation. The TWMG was submitted to stimuli with music for 15 minutes and physical exercises for 30 minutes to improve/maintain their global mobility. The TWtMG performed the same physical exercises, however without music before physical exercise. The interventions lasted 12 weeks, and were performed individually once a week. In the TWMG, we observe a decrease in diastolic BP in the third session. In the sixth week, the HR increased after the session in both groups. TWMG improved HRV in the third session, with a difference between groups only after the session. After the sixth session, HRV values improved in both groups. In conclusion, listening to music before physical exercise is associated with positive effects in people with dementia, as it tends to maintain and improve physiological factors.

This chapter examines how, to escape from bourgeois society, the Sacrifice comrades are trying to build a social reality in which they can demonstrate that they are courageous and that they merit honor through sacrifice, loyalty to the group, and obedience to the leaders' orders. This symbolic and cultural mission, which can be called the construction of the parallel world, is achieved in three ways. The first is through sport. One way to build the parallel world is to organize a “war.” This is the purpose of the mixed martial arts contests organized by Sacrifice, in which athletes from all over Europe participate. The second way of building the parallel world consists of creating a climate of continual tension with far-left groups. The third way is through brawling.

The third chapter considers how approaches to theological reflection within Latin American liberation theology might open up toward a decolonial project. It specifically focuses on how the work of the liberation theologians Ignacio Ellacuría and Jon Sobrino, unlike that of Clodovis Boff, points to the theoretical possibility of communities speaking theologically from epistemic loci located within the cracks of Western modernity. Ellacuría and Sobrino open up the methodological possibility to decolonize theological images and concepts, and in doing so, offer the possibility for theological reflection to decolonize social-historical structures. A decolonial option requires, but is also more than, a methodological shift that prioritizes the viewpoint of the poor as the starting point in theological reflection. Investigating how Ellacuría and Sobrino are able to open up the epistemic boundaries of theology is thus not an endpoint, but can provide a way forward for a decolonial theology.

The idea of the ‘Global South’ arose from the conference of African and Asian nations at Bandung in 1955 even if the term has only recently entered academic parlance. To many it evokes what used to be called the Third World, just as it calls to mind anti-colonial struggles of the 1950s to the 1970s. However, the question is whether the idea of ‘Global South’ can be recuperated to furnish a more ecologically pluralistic framework of knowledge that would also accommodate more radical conceptions of dissent leading to social justice for the poor and the disenfranchised. After probing the prevalent ideas of ‘South Asia’ and the scholarship on South Asian history and religion, this chapter asks what the notion of Indic civilization brings to the idea of the Global South. It explores briefly the emancipatory potential of Indian epics and popular cinema, commenting besides on the varieties of Islam from South and Southeast Asia, before concluding with a lengthier exploration of the Indian idea of hospitality and how it can be channelled to contest the categories of modern knowledge systems.
