<p>Waitangirua is a vital piece of the puzzle when completing the Porirua Regeneration Scheme and The Transmission Gully Motorway.  Waitangirua is a small suburb of 4020 residents located in the East of Porirua City. The current regeneration of East Porirua is seeing 2000 state homes being renovated or demolished and 2000 additional dwellings on site. With that in mind, a transmission gully link road drives straight to the heart of the community’s village centre: this road alone will see an additional 3000-4000 cars travelling down it daily. Waitangirua currently hosts a diverse and young population, but it lacks the architectural features to encourage diversity and social interaction. With Transmission Gully’s completion in 2020 and the regeneration at the beginning of its 25-year plan, it is timely to think about the future of Waitangirua, not only for the social growth of the suburb but also the liveability for the community. The current village centre does not match its neighbourhood, let alone have the capability to host all these new people. Leading to the research question, ‘How can an under-utilised centre be re-imagined for the social growth and liveability of its residents?’  This thesis examines the importance of connections for social growth and liveability; while considering the priority of community engagements in the success of the design. It also investigates the significance of architecture and urban planning in integrating the identity of the community and their culture into the design schemes.  A New Heart for East Porirua proposes this can be achieved by renewing the flow and connection of the people; to each other, their village centre and wider Porirua. At the same time as engaging with the community and cultural narrative to enhance the site; and finally, by re-imagining the under-utilised centre and community hub in a holistic approach for the on-going journey of the community of Waitangirua.</p>

The purpose of this article is to provide the reader with tools and recommendations for collecting data and making microanalytic transcriptions of interaction involving people using Augmentative Communication Technologies (ACTs). This is of interest for clinicians, as well as anyone else engaged in video-based microanalysis of technology mediated interaction in other contexts. The information presented here has particular relevance to young researchers developing their own methodologies, and experienced scientists interested in social interaction research in ACTs or as well as other digital communication technologies. Tools and methods for recording social interactions to support microanalysis by making unobtrusive recordings of naturally occurring or task-driven social interactions while minimizing recording-related distractions which could alter the authenticity of the social interaction are discussed. Recommendations for the needed functionality of video and audio recording equipment are made with tips for how to capture actions that are important to the research question as opposed to capturing 'generally usable' video. In addition, tips for processing video and managing video data are outlined, including how to develop optimally functional naming conventions for stored videos, how and where to store video data (i. e. use of external hard drives, compressing videos for storage) and syncing multiple videos, offering different views of a single interaction (i. e. syncing footage of the overall interaction with footage of the device display). Finally, tools and strategies for transcription are discussed including a brief description of the role transcription plays in analysis, a suggested framework for how transcription might proceed through multiple passes, each focused on a different aspect of communication, transcription software options along with discussion of specific features that aide transcription. In addition, special issues that arise in transcribing interactions involving ACTs are addressed.

In the beginning, the surface of BSMI problematizes the red symbol that was used by PMI because it was analyzed as a Christian symbol, feeling hesitant when used as a cross symbol in humanitarian missions is the basic reason as their appearance of religiosities in public life. Talking about the symbol, the crescent has a long history of how it can be “identified” as a symbol of Islam and how the people identified those as an identity of the religion by signifying sacred behind the symbol. The symbolization of religion cannot be separated from the method of semiotic approach where explains the science of sign. Through this sign, people can find their identity and communicatewith each other as social interaction and also find a sacred behind the symbol. For the last theory, I would use the social movement and development that indicate the turn organization not only happen in the case of philanthropy but also will eradicate to the other social application movement. Therefore, in my opinion, the surface of BSMI cannot be rid by the development of crescent symbol interpretation as a symbolization of religious identity due to symbolism as a way to communicate and interact with society

Abstract The object of this research is about the social interaction and the Islamic law in the Surat Undang-Undang.  Islamic law is the core which is the core of the personality of the Malay community Malays consisting of rulers, kings, rulers, and people.  Surat Undang-Undang is kept in the Special Collection, Leiden University Library. Surat Undang-Undang contained twenty-four clauses that describe the customs and rules that should be guide in Malay traditional societies. However, this writing is focuses to the regulations and laws into the context of Islamic rules. This study was conducted to prove that the Surat Undang-Undang are full of Islamic values, social ethics, culture and rules. Through social interaction, Surat Undang-Undang is the intermediary for conveying religious values ​​and policies among the Malay community who at that time had just embraced Islamic values, ethics, culture and religion. Thus, social interaction between society, the ruler, the people and the people will be refined through the content analysis method by applying the Islamic approach as the basis of this researcg. This research has two objectives, firstly is to identify the rules and Islamic law contained in the Surat Undang-Undang.  Secondly, to analyze the Islamic rules and laws in the Surat Undang-Undang based on the concept of social interaction. Thus, this study were able to demonstrate the process of social interaction among the Malay traditional society, the harmonization of the relationship between the ruling class, the ruler and the rulership of the nation's integration regarding  to the al-Quran and Hadith. Abstrak Objek penelitian ini mengenai interaksi sosial dan peraturan Islam dalam Surat Undang-Undang.  Undang-undang Islam merupakan teras keperibadian masyarakat Melayu yang terdiri daripada golongan pemerintah (raja), para pembesar, dan rakyat.  Surat Undang-Undang merupakan manuskrip Melayu yang tersimpan di Koleksi Istimewa, perpustakaan Universiti Leiden. Manuskrip ini memuatkan dua puluh empat fasal yang menggambarkan adat dan peraturan yang perlu menjadi panduan dalam kalangan masyarakat Melayu tradisional. Justeru, penulisan ini berfokus kepada hal-hal yang bersangkutan dengan peraturan dan undang-undang untuk disuai padankan dengan konteks syariah dan ajaran Islam.  Kajian ini dilakukan untuk membuktikan bahawa Surat Undang-undang sarat dengan nilai, etika sosial, budaya dan peraturan yang berlandaskan Islam. Menerusi interaksi sosial, Surat Undang-undang merupakan perantara untuk  menyampaikan nilai-nilai dan dasar keagamaan dalam kalangan masyarakat Melayu yang pada ketika itu baharu sahaja menganuti nilai, etika sosial, budaya dan agama Islam.Golongan pemerintah dalam komuniti minoriti berusaha  membangun harmonisasi hubungan sosial kemasyarakatan dengan golongan rakyat sebagai komuniti majoriti.   Justeru, interaksi sosial antara lapisan masyarakat iaitu golongan pemerintah, pembesar dan rakyat akan diperhalusi menerusi kaedah analisis kandungan dengan menggunapakai pendekatan Islam.  Kajian ini mempunyai dua objektif iaitu mengenal pasti peraturan dan undang-undang Islam yang termuat dalam Surat Undang-Undang.  Keduanya, menganalisis peraturan dan undang-undang Islam dalam Surat Undang-Undang berlandaskan konsep interaksi sosial.  Oleh itu, kajian ini mampu memperlihatkan kaedah masyarakat tradisional berinteraksi, gambaran harmonisasi hubungan antara golongan pemerintah, pembesar dan rakyat sebagai integrasi bangsa dan merujuk kepada al-Quran dan hadis.

The ability to behave socially needs to be educated since children are still small. Hampered social development of children from childhood will cause difficulties for children in developing themselves in the future. Efforts to help the social development of children, there should be cooperation between parents and teachers. In the social development of children, the interactions caused by the people around them will have a strong influence on the formation of children's emotional social behaviors. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of traditional Congklak games on social interaction in enhancing the emotional social abilities of children aged 5-6 years in RA Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, the researcher wants to describe factually and objectively the facts in the field. The results showed that the activities of playing congklak affect the social interaction of early childhood in RA Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru. This is evident from the pre-test scores carried out showing an average of 58.3% of children who still need help. After the researchers took action by showing the ways and rules of playing congklak to obtain the post-test results of 2.75% of children who need help. Abstrak Kemampuan berperilaku sosial perlu dididik sejak anak masih kecil. Terhambatnya perkembangan sosial anak sejak kecil akan menimbulkan kesulitan bagi anak dalam mengembangkan dirinya di kemudian hari. Upaya untuk membantu pengembangan sosial anak, selayaknya ada kerjasama antara orang tua dan guru. Dalam perkembangan sosial anak, interaksi yang ditimbulkan dengan orang-orang di sekitarnya akan memberikan pengaruh yang kuat bagi pembentukan perilaku-perilaku sosial emosional anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh permainan tradisional congklak terhadap interaksi sosial dalam meningkatkan kemampuan sosial emosional anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, yaitu peneliti ingin mendeskripsikan secara faktual dan objektif fakta-fakta yang ada di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui kegiatan bermaian congklak berpengaruh terhadap interaksi sosial anak usia dini di RA Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru. Hal ini terbukti dari nilai pre tes yang dilakukan menunjukkan hasil rata-rata 58,3% anak yang masih membutuhkan bantuan. Setelah peneliti melakukan tindakan dengan menunjukkan cara dan aturan bermain congklak sehingga diperoleh hasil post test 2,75% anak yang memerlukan bantuan. <span>Zakat fitrah is a compulsory zakat that muslims neet to do. Zakat fitrah should be made to Amil zakat or the committee appointed to handle zakat. This is so taht distribution is even and right on terget. This study aims to analyze socially and religiously so that a common thread will be obtained about the suitability of zakat distribution practices in research location. This research is a qualitative study that describes the data in detail based on the findings in the field. The distribution of zakat for the dukun in Jamus village can be analyzed from social and religious analyzes, in addition to gratitude for the people who have been helped by the dukun, also on average the dukun helps with a sense of sincerity and with great selflessness. The social analysis is understood that most of the people who give zakat fitrah to the dukun are because of their emotional closeness because they have been helped a lot by the dukuns. In this case social interaction is very well guarded. Broadly speaking, the social values practiced by most people are based on the values of sympathy, empathy, and respect. Religious analysis in the practice of distributing zakat fitrah to traditional birth attendants in the Jamus village becomes invalid if it is intended for zakat fitrah, but if the gift is in the form of shodaqoh or infaq it may be done.</span>

This research examines the social interaction amongst the fishers and the porters in the Muara Angke region. Muara Angke is a region which is on the north coast of Jakarta. Due to its fisheries potential, fishing activity has become the main livelihood of the people there. In 1977, the concentration of Jakarta’s fishing activity in the region has made it the center of traditional fishery in Jakarta. Yet, the concentration of fishing activity conducted in Muara Angke failed to provide economic improvement and most people remain under the poverty line. The root of poverty Muara Angke’s fishery community were multidimensional involving social, economic, and political aspects.

Background: Many factors influence the decision to commit abortions, among all are marital status and educational status which most are still in school, economic pressure, multiparity or contaception failure. The social interaction is a connection between t the people who perform abortion and their suggestive environment.Objective: to observe the social interaction that happend among the person who perform abortion and the surrounding society.Method: This research makes use of qualitative method to understand the motives behind abortion practice, through an indepth interview. The sample collection is performed on H. A. Sulthan Dg Radja Hospital and Daffiku Hospital Bulukumba.Result and Discussion: Subject who performed abortion was influenced by internal and external factors. The internal factors include anxiousness, financial worrisome to support the child and fear of embarrassing the family in an unmaried women. As for the external factor includes pressure from families and friends who insist on performing abortion and the help from traditional healer on performing abortion. These two factors are not independent, and between them there are interactions to materialize abortion practice.Conclussion: Social interaction between individuals and between individual and the environment are an important role against abortion in decision making to have an provocative abortion. INTISARI                 Teknologi yang terus berkembang dari waktu ke waktu telah menjadi suatu perkembangan yang harus diterima oleh semua pihak dan juga secara tidak langsung mengubah sudut pandang dan juga cara interaksi manusia dari seluruh bidang seperti sosial dan ekonomi. Basis penggunaan sistem yang awalnya bertuan untuk menjaring interasksi sosial seperti pertemanan, berbagi foto dan juga kelompok interasi saat ini juga sudah banyak digunakan untuk mendukung basis ekonomi seperti pemasaran produk hingga penjualan. Pemanfaatan basis sistem sosial sudah banyak dilakukan oleh beberapa pihak dari sisi masyarakat biasa, atlet, artis hingga perusahaan yang memiliki pengikut atau fan base yang digunakan untuk menarik perhatian dan minat dari masyarakat dunia. Kemudahan pelaksanaan dan juga biaya yang sangat rendah bahkan bisa gratis juga salah satu point dasar utama mengapa banyak pihak yang memanfaatkan sistem sosial media untuk menaikan pemasaran dan penjualan. Hal ini dikarenakan berbanding terbalik dengan iklan menggunakan media cetak ataupun iklan dari televise yang memakan cukup banyak biaya sehingga untuk kalangan UMKM, hal tersebut tentunya akan sangat memberatkan terlebih lagi untuk produk yang masih belum banyak dikenal oleh banyak masyarakat. Kenyamanan dari sisi pengguna juga menjadi kepedulian utama karena pengguna bebas melihat suatu produk yang dipasarkan tanpa adanya ikatan waktu dan juga interupsi dari berbagai pihak sehingga pengguna memiliki banyak waktu untuk menentukan pilihan produk yang diinginkan. Pemasaran dan penjualan produk memanfaatkan sistem media sosial juga dapat memberikan keleluasaan bagi pemasar dan penjual produk tersebut untuk dapat mempublish produknya secara bebas dari sisi design, harga dan juga waktu tanpa adanya ikatan kontrak dengan pihak ketiga sehingga proses pemasaran produk akan lebih cepat ditayangkan pada akun sosial media bersangkutan dan pengguna dapat secara langsung melihat produk yang dipasarkan secara real time tanpa harus ada persetujuan seperti penandatanganan kontrak, waktu penanyangan dan hal-hal lainnya yang bersifat komersil. It is contradictive to use advertising in newspaper, tabloid even television because is very expensive for the startup and people who start their business from below to middle. It’s very difficult especially for the product has not been known by people yet. The convenience of people by using that platform is also become the main concern because people can be free to see a product that has been promoted by company without limited by time so people can have so much tme to make a decision of product choosing. Marketing and sales has used social media can promote their product effectively and efficieny from design, price and even time without do a contract with advertising company. Because all of these people can do promote product could be show real tme for social media and user directly see the product without must have approval like contract sign, the showing time and everything have commercial scent has been dismished. And the last thing is very important is using social media system platform is very easy because what must to do is just having many sosial friend or follower in the social account and make good words promotion, posting photo of product and share product information to other user so indirectly that information could be shared to other user and can be a great help to make that product information grow bigger that just one type of promotion and become expand from mouth to mouth by sharing each other. Kata kunci— Social Media, Marketing, Sales, Information, Sharing, Convenience

Abstract-The globalization causes Indonesian people prefer to choose foreign cultures compared with preserve their local culture. Beside the local cultured that begin to be threatened, the globalization also affects the decreasing of peoples’ social attitudes and social behavior, this will certainly vulnerable with the cause of social conflicts. In other aspect. The problems also arise in the social studies education learning which is considered boring, where the material taught does not relate with phenomena of local social and cultural that develop around students. This fact must be sought solution, one of the solutions developed in this research is exploring the values of tahlilan tradition in the social environment of Gintung Ranjeng village, and expected can be used as learning sources that are integrated in the social interaction topic in the social studies education subjects. The findings of this research are : One, the people of Gintung Ranjeng village still hold the tradition of tahlilan with the purpose as one way of their worship to Allah SWT, give console and empathy to abandoned families, efforts to strengthen social relations among society, and  prevent the conflict in the community. Two, the interaction pattern of Gintung Ranjeng society is found in the tradition of tahlilan, it can be seen in the activity of “atur-atur” and “ngobeng” activities in tahlilan tradition. Three, tahlilan tradition that has a noble value in the social relations, can be used as learning sources in social studies especially on the subject matter social interaction. Keywords : Tahlilan Tradition, Social Interaction, and Social Studies
