In this paper, the analysis and discussion are presented for two prominent types of wireless charging, namely inductive power transfer (IPT) and capacitive power transfer (CPT). The paper presents a comparative analysis between CPT and IPT. A comparison between different geometries of plates used in CPT is performed and it is shown that rectangular-shaped plates have the best power transfer efficiency. The effect of foreign particles between the capacitor plates of a single-module as well as a double-module CPT system on capacitance and energy transfer density are also investigated in the paper. The case of ceramic coating on the capacitor plates and its effects on the capacitance and energy transfer density with varying thickness are analyzed and presented. Different naturally occurring particles such as water, sand and wet sand have been simulated between the capacitor plates of the CPT system and their respective impact on power transfer is analyzed and the simulation results are demonstrated.

This study aimed to analyze the structural and electrical properties of silica from rice husks recovered by the process of ashing on a medium-scale furnace with a capacity of 15 kg. Rice husks were burned at a heating rate of 1.5°C /min to a temperature of 900°C, where the temperature was retained for 1 hour each at 400°C and 900°C. The methodology of this research was conducted through the process of ashing, extraction of silica, and characterization of its structural electrical properties. The silica extracted from rice husk ash had a relatively low water content by the low absorption intensity of the group –OH at 3610 cm-1. The silica was dominated more by the siloxane group (Si-O-Si) compared with the silanol group (Si-OH). Based on XRD analysis, the silica structure was confirmed as tetragonal. The silica also had a decreased resistance, impedance, and inductance as the frequency increased. These results indicate that the obstacles contained in silica content decrease with an increase in frequency. The decreasing of dielectric constants was caused by the frequency affecting the capacitance; i.e., increased frequency caused more waves to be transmitted each second. The electric current was turned before the capacitor plate was fully charged, which caused quick charge drainage in the capacitor plate and therefore reduced the ability of a material to store the electric charge.

A method for calculating the electric field gain at the edge of the plate of a capacitor section with different dielectric systems has been developed. The dependence of the gain on the heterogeneity coefficient of the working dielectric and on the distance from the edge of the capacitor plate is constructed. The boundaries of the region of “high heterogeneity” in the working dielectric of the high-voltage pulse capacitor section are determined.

Annotation Purpose. Improving the efficiency of harvesting work based on the development of information tools for determining grain moisture. Methods. Method of regression analysis, method of planning and processing of experimental data using software packages – “Microsoft Office Excel 2010”, Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2015 in C ++, statistical method of processing research results. Results. Regression model of the dependence of the electric capacitance of the capacitor on the working area of the plates of the capacitor of the sensing element and the distance between the plates of the capacitor. Rational values of the parameters of the sensitive element of the grain moisture indicator. Conclusions 1. The NSC “IAEE” has developed a simple and reliable indicator of grain moisture, the principle of which is based on the change in dielectric constant between the plates of the capacitor. 2. A regression model of the dependence of the electric capacitance of the capacitor on the working area of the capacitor plates of the sensing element and the distance between the plates of the capacitor, which allowed to determine that at a capacitor plate area of 200 mm, the rational value of the distance between capacitor plates is 0.69 mm. 3. The values of the rational values of the distance between the plates of the capacitor of the sensitive element of the grain moisture indicator, which are obtained in theoretical calculations and experimental studies, differ by 15%. This article examines how topological optimization can be applied to identify nonintuitive capacitor plate patterning that maximizes average power dissipated through an electrical circuit during energy harvesting. Coupled electromechanical equations of motion are derived that include both the instantaneous and change in overlapping conductive area as functions of plate rotation. A genetic algorithm is used to optimize these terms and then map them to physical plate configurations. The results obtained apply specifically to the case presented; however, the methods are general and can be used to solve a broad range of electrostatic energy harvesting problems.

ABSTRACTOne of the efforts to determine the quality of combustion on the egine is the dielectric constant, therefore the purpose of this study is to make a device to test the fuel dielectric constants and observe the effect of the magnetic field strength on the fuel dielectric constant, the dielectric constant measurement is done by measuring the capacitance through a capacitor plate made of copper PCB and LCR measuring instrument. Initial testing uses air as the object at the same time for calibration. Furthermore, the object used is a mixture of biodiesel and diesel fuel. these data are compared between the biodiesel dielectric constant without the influence of magnetism and with biodiesel fuel which is influenced by magnetic fields. The measurement results show thatThe dielectric constant value of the frequency range 0 Hz to 550 Hz has fluctuations up and down so that the value is random. The frequency range of 600 Hz to 2000 Hz dielectric constant tends to decrease exponentially as frequency increases. The greater the magnetic field given to the biodiesel fuel, the smaller the dielectric constant value. this means that the moment of the dipole is more directed so that the combustion process can take place better.Key words : magnet field, biodiesel, dielectric constanta.ABSTRAKSalah satu upaya untuk mengetahui kualitas pembakaran pada engine yaitu konstanta dielektrik, oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat alat untuk menguji konstata dielektrik bahan bakar dan mengamati pengaruh kuat medan magnet terhadap konstanta dielektrik bahan bakar tersebut, pengukuran konstanta dielektrik dilakukan dengan cara mengukur kapasitansinya yaitu melalui plat kapasitor terbuat dari PCB tembaga dan alat ukur LCR. Pengujian awal menggunakan udara sebagai objeknya sekaligus untuk kalibrasi. Selanjutnya objek yang digunakan bahan bakar campuran biodiesel dan solar. Data-data ini dibandingkan antara konstanta dielektrik biodiesel tanpa pengaruh magnet dan dengan bahan bakar biodiesel yang dipengaruhi medan magnet. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa nilai konstanta dielektrik rentang frekuensi 0 Hz sampai 550 Hz mengalami fluktuasi naik turun sehingga nilainya acak. Rentang frekuensi 600 Hz sampai 2000 Hz nilai konstanta dielektrik cenderung menurun secra eksponensial seiring dengan bertambahnya frekuensi.Semakin besar medan magnet yang diberikan pada bahan bakar biodiesel semakin kecil nilai konstanta dielektriknya.artinya momen dipolenya semakin terarah sehingga proses pembakaran dapat berlangsung lebih baik.Kata kunsi :medan magnet, biodiesel, konstanta dielektrik.

nanoDiamond was mixed with ethylic cellulose and other Material to form to paste. A series of sol-gel nanoDiamond film with different proportions were designed test intentionally. nanoDiamond film was fabricated on Aluminum substrates using two-steps sintering process. The moving terminal of the variable super-capacitor was the shaft which throughout each of monolithic capacitor plate. The low melting point glass powder possesses giant permittivity, low dielectric loss, good thermal stability and dielectric constant in a wide temperature range which applied very broad prospects in microelectronics. The low melting point glass powder was mixed with carboxymethyl cellulose and deionized water to paste. The low melting point glass powder insulation thick-film was fixed on nanoDiamond film .In this paper, the insulation thick-film preparation: sintering at 578K to 588K and keeping 11.5 h to 12.5 h. A variable super-capacitor was designed based on nanoDiamond film electrode and low melting point glass powder insulation thick. Insulation thickness was prepared on uniform nanodiamond film to increase insulation super-capacitor between the two plates.

In designing a Witricity Device, it is quite challenging to achieve highly efficient transferrable power with the consideration of size reduction. The planar type Witricity device is designed to be thin and small in size but posses an adequate efficiency of transferrable energy. This paper investigates the slot variation influence of capacitor plate to the Witricity device performance. Slot is introduced to the varied number of capacitor plate, which initially designed in planar rectangular shape. In addition, the effect of non-rectangular-shaped capacitor is studied. The best design with two rectangular-shaped slotted capacitors is fabricated and measured that achieve more than 70% coupling efficiency for 20 mm distance with its 40 mm x 40 mm dimension and 0.67 mm thickness.

This study used a non-invasive method of ballistocardiography to investigate cardiac work of chick embryos. In this method, an eggshell with electric charges on it is one capacitor plate, the other being a receiving antenna of the measuring equipment. Chick embryo cardiac work induces micro-movements of the whole egg, resulting in changes in the distances between the plates and thus in the difference of potentials between the shell and the receiving antenna. This is registered by the measuring equipment. The first single signals of cardiac work were registered on day 7 of incubation. Starting from day 9, the signal was recorded from all embryos. During the study, the heart rate decreased from 248 to 161 beats per minute and signal amplitude was found to steadily increase from 6.3 to 432.7 mV/m. Great disturbances in ballistocardiograms were observed on days preceding embryonic deaths.
