The purpose of the article is to clarify the genre-thematic classification of video blogging and the specific features of its affiliation with stylistic characteristics through the lens of a scientific approach. At present, there is no official classification of video blogging, but there are some types that help partially group all the variety of content into a single system. Methodology. The following methods were used during the study: scientific, content analysis, descriptive, statistical, comparative. The scientific novelty is to investigate video blogging as a subject of scientific analysis and study the genres of individual video platforms and online communities in terms of risks and opportunities. Conclusions. Video blogging is a relatively new concept that embodies an activity that is described by a communication function and a hybrid genre that has emerged as a result of technological progress. This phenomenon combines several genres, including the genres of comments and posts, and accompanies communicative situations on the Internet. The genre of this phenomenon is explained by its mobile features, because new modern videos are created every day, and they are difficult to refer to a specific topic because they are constantly mixed and modified with each other. The author's attitude towards his or her audience depends on aspects of individuality and aspects of personality. Today, a considerable number of successful video blogs are products of mass Internet consumption, devoid of monotonous content, which factor in the interests of the audience and help the film as efficiently as possible due to additional effects and editing.

Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai pengembangan video blogging sebagai media pembelajaran sosiologi, serta untuk mengetahui kelayakan media video blogging pelajaran sosisologi dengan topik bentuk integrasi sosial dan faktor pendorong integrasi sosial yang dikembangkan berdasarkan respon siswa, dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa setelah dilakukan pembelajaran menggunakan media video blogging (vlog) sebagai media pembelajaran sosiologi. Jenis penelitian menggunakan pengembangan Reseach and Development dengan menggunakan model 4-D yaitu Define (Pendefenisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan), Disseminate (Penyebaran). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pengembangan media video blogging pada mata pelajaran sosiologi sangat layak digunakan, terbukti dari penilian ahli materi terhadap media video blogging dengan nilai 63 % dengan kategori baik. Penilaian validasi media terhadap media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan yaitu 93% dengan kategori sangat baik. Penilaian praktikalitas guru terhadap media pembelajaran yaitu 83 % dengan kategori sangat baik, dan penilaian tanggapan siswa terhadap media adalah 48 % dengan kategori cukup baik. Secara keseluruhan media pembelajaran berbasis video blogging dapat dikategorikan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran tatap muka sekaligus daring. Pengembangan media video blogging dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, berdasarkan hasil analisis hasil belajar siswa diperoleh Sig (2-tailed) yaitu 0,01, yang dinyatakan bahwa ada perubahan hasil belajar belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media video blogging.

Blogging is an integral part of modern Internet communication. It allows us to push the boundaries of time and space, making it possible for people around the world to interact online: find like-minded individuals, learn, communicate, get up-to-date information, etc. The most popular video format of such interaction today is video blogging. Video bloggers (vloggers) often find themselves in the position of a leader: their lifestyle and speech characteristics become a model for the channel’s subscribers; people listen to vloggers and try to copy them. Since each social role corresponds to a certain type of speech behaviour and a set of language tools, it can be assumed that the speech of vloggers also has some specific features. This paper is an integral part of a multidimensional study of the speech of modern vloggers from the embroidery community on YouTube and considers the active processes of word formation in their speech. The material included Russian-language YouTube videos dedicated to embroidery posted from 2016 to 2020. The research showed that the appearance of derived words in the colloquial speech of embroiderers is not accidental. Words are derived quite often and borrowed by vloggers from each other. They perform various functions, the main being nominative and emotionalevaluative. The creative component of embroiderers’ activity is reflected in their speech: the process of forming new words is characterized by imagery, metaphoricalness, and abundance of diminutives with positive connotations.

Research on Vlogs, ethnoscience, and social media literacy, is one of the trends in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, so it is exciting to research. However, scientific studies are still relatively new and rare. A systematic review is not yet available. Thus, the purpose of this study was to analyze the review content of synthesized articles with a focus on the study of the authors' origin, aims, method variations, and findings. This research's data collection method adopted the PRISMA design, consisting of four steps: identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Article searches are carried out using the publish or perish application directly linked to Google Scholar search. The total number of articles found was 2971 articles in the period 2016 to 2020. This study was decided to review 25 articles with the distribution of 8 Vlog, 6 ethnosciences, and 11 social media literacy. The results showed that (1) Indonesia was the country that was ranked first out of nine countries on the topics of Vlog by 75% and ethnoscience topics by 67%, (2) the purpose of the research is on average testing, finding and developing topics with other variables, (3) the research methods also used varied, including descriptive qualitative, quasi-experimental, exploratory, survey, literature review, and R&D, (4) The findings indicate that these topics are interesting to study because they have a positive effect on learning, increasing learning motivation, self-confidence, speaking skills, understanding concepts, and critical thinking skills, innovative, creative to the entrepreneurial character.

Abstract. This study analyzed the code-switching used in Fathia Izzati's YouTube videos channel according to the types and their functions. This study used a qualitative descriptive method since the research object is obtained from the internet or computer-based. The researchers used content analysis to get information based on research objectives. In collecting the data, the researchers analyzed the data through some steps, and they were: watching the videos, making transcription from the videos, identifying and classifying the utterances. As a result, from Fathia Izzati's videos, this study found three types of code-switching: inter-sentential switching, intra-sentential switching, and tag-switching. The speaker used two languages, namely Indonesian and English, during the vlog shooting process. The dominant type of code-switching that the speaker used is intra-sentential switching. Then, from the seven functions, this study found six functions the speakers did the code change. They were participant, solidarity, topic switch, switching for affective functions, metaphorical switching, and lexical borrowing.Keywords: bilingualism, sociolinguistics, code-switching, and video-blogging.Abstrak. Penelitian ini menganalisis alih kode yang digunakan dalam video di saluran YouTube Fathia Izzati berdasarkan jenis dan fungsinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif, karena objek pada penelitian ini diambil dari internet atau bersumber dari komputer. Peneliti menggunakan analisis konten untuk menemukan informasi yang tepat sesuai dengan pertanyaan dalam penelitian ini. Dalam mengumpulkan data, peneliti menganalisis data melalui beberapa langkah, yaitu menonton dan mendengarkan video, membuat transkripsi dari video, mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan ucapan Fathia Izzati. Hasilnya, dari video-video Fathia Izzati, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat tiga tipe code-switching, di antaranya adalah inter-sentential switching, intra-sentential switching, dan tag-switching. Jadi pembicara menggunakan dua bahasa yaitu bahasa Indonesia dan bInggris selama proses syuting vlog. Jenis alih kode yang paling dominan adalah intra-sentential switching. Peneliti menemukan bahwa dari tujuh fungsi yang ada, ditemuakan enam fungsi alih kode yang dilakukan pembicara, yaitu partisipan, solidaritas, pergantian topik, peralihan karena fungsi afektif, alih kode metaforis, dan kata pinjaman.Kata kunci: bilingualisme, sosiolinguistik, alih kode, video-blogging

Signed Language communicators use video communication services as they can be used to relay manual communication. One aspect of successful video blogging (vlogging) is being able to communicate a message clearly. Visual clarity is important as manual communication relies on the visual channel exclusively for processing and can become compromised if certain elements in the video, such as the lighting or background, are not set up correctly. A tool, termed the Vlog Analysis and Suggestion Tool (VAST) has been developed to assess Signed Language, talking head style, video and provide feedback to users based on the quality. Quality, in this work, is based on three technical factors: (1) lighting; (2) signing space; and (3) background. Results from a user study on VAST indicate that the tool is easy to use, helpful to users for determining video quality, and the technical factors assessed by the system are important to users.

The article is devoted to the study of the Ukrainian segment of video blogging as one of the most popular types of the functioning of the modern blogosphere. The content and statistics of popular video blogs were studied on the example of YouTube channels of Ukrainian bloggers and famous journalists. Today we are witnessing the rapid development of technologies that help journalists become better, and the creators of media content to work more quickly and ensure the completeness of the information. With the help of Internet communication, new ways of disseminating information have appeared in journalism. Journalists more often create their blogs on various platforms. Blogosphere video content has become very popular among the Ukrainian audience on YouTube because today the video format is the most effective in terms of communication. The YouTube social network partially replaces television, and the variety of thematic content is ably adapted to a wide audience. The paper analyzes Ukrainian blogs managed by journalists, where they publish different content formats. Therefore, the presentation of various examples of video blogs in our work helps to understand the specifics of Ukrainian blogging at its current stage of development. After all, videos of popular people such as Michael Shchur, Yanina Sokolova, Ostap Drozdov demonstrate the peculiarities of Ukrainian popular video content. For the research, we chose those blogs that are currently relevant to Ukrainian YouTube and have their specifics and uniqueness. The main objective of a blogger is to react quickly to the flow of information because the rating of the channel being monetized depends on it. With the help of statistical data, we can conclude that the Ukrainian audience is interested in a wide range of different information. Viewers now value the independent opinion of bloggers and more often listen to it. Every important event is covered by bloggers promptly. And the format in which it is presented depends on the individual style of the author and the concept of his channel. We can conclude that the video content of the modern blogosphere is developing rapidly. This provides the audience with information for different tastes.

Video-Blogging (Vlog) is one of the media that is of interest to today's millennial youth because it contains audiovisuals and digital images so that it can attract the attention of teenagers. One of the health promotion strategies using Vlog is to increase adolescent knowledge about HIV / AIDS. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of health promotion using vlog media on the level of adolescent knowledge. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental, one group pre and post-test design without a control group and a descriptive correlation. The sampling techniques is using a purposive sampling technique as many as 64 students. Statistical test using Wilcoxon and Kendal's tau.  The univariate results in this study were 45.3% male and 54.7% female, 43.8% information media from Radio/Tv / Internet. The results of the bivariate analysis were differences before and after health promotion (p-value = 0.000), but there was no significant relationship between vlog media and changes in knowledge levels (p-value = 0.249). The strategy to increase knowledge about HIV / AIDS in adolescents needs to be modified according to several other types of media so that the effectiveness of each media can be seen clearly.

The article is devoted to art blogging as a specific format of artistic communication, the most popular type of which is movie video blogging. It is characterized by a vivid experimental nature, the search for new creative models and new aesthetic orientations, and the borrowing of the rhetoric and aesthetics of unprofessional video bloggers by professionals, which has become one of the trends in modern professional blogosphere. The main and innovative features of art blogging include its synthetic character reflecting the integration of literature, media, everyday life, as well as visual and musical codes; the prevalence of user generated content that displaces traditional forms of film criticism and film journalism; a wide range of issues covered in the performances and a variety of communication formats; the development of its own value systems. Three types of film blogs are distinguished as belonging to a certain media platform: a. blogs on movie portals; b. authorial blogs on personal web pages in social networks and messengers; c. autonomous film blogs. Russian video blogging development is connected with YouTube video hosting. One of the important problems in analyzing movie blogs is the problem of defining new forms of creativity and aesthetics of bloggers' activities, whose popularity is high, making them opinion leaders and new intermediaries between film production and mass audience. This factor is due to several characteristics of film blogging: a. orientation towards freedom of opinion and honesty; b. interactive nature of communication providing various forms of feedback; c. entertainment, ease of presentation, playful style, humor; d. low style of speaking, colloquial nonliteral language; e. prevalence of negative criticism as a response to audience expectations.
