Introduction: Polycystic ovarian disorder is the most frequent kind of persistent anovulation caused by androgen extra, affecting 6-12% of fertile women. PCOS is seen as a complex condition through a variable origin. It has also been linked to greater in metabolic and cardiovascular risk factors. The purpose of our research was to determine the frequency of subclinical hypothyroidism among patients of polycystic ovarian disease presenting in the outpatient department of tertiary care hospital Methods: The Study was a cross-sectional study which was conducted in Gynecology & Obstetrics Department, Lady Aitchison Hospital, Lahore. All polycystic ovarian disease patients were enrolled. Participants' blood samples were drawn utilizing aseptic methods and transported to a pathology laboratory for serum TSH levels to be measured. Subclinical hypothyroidism was found to be common in polycystic ovarian individuals diagnosed. SPSS v24 was used to enter and evaluate data. The Chi-square method was conducted to test the relevance of post-stratification. A p-value of 0.06 was believed important. Results: Total 136 cases with polycystic ovarian disease were selected for this study. Mean age was 28.4±7.9 years. Among 136 patients, 26(19.1%) had subclinical hypothyroidism. By stratification of subclinical hypothyroidism, it was found that age >30 years and obese had extensive effect having subclinical hypothyroidism (p=0.00001, p=0.002). Conclusion: Subclinical hypothyroidism may be a modifiable risk factor, associated with polycystic ovarian disease. Steps should be taken to minimize more this risk factor by screening and early intervention. Keywords: Subclinical Hypothyroidism, Polycystic Ovarian Disease.

Background: An experimental study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of planned teaching programme on knowledge regarding polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) among adolescent girls. Methods: The research design adopted for the study was one group pre – test post – test design and approach was educative and evaluative approach. This study was undertaken in village of Sursinghdhar, New Tehri, Uttarakhand, India. The data were collected through the questionnaire method with sample size 60 adolescent girls. Results: Findings related to the assessment of pre-test knowledge regarding PCOD depicted that 48.4% of the respondents had average knowledge while 43.3% had poor knowledge. Only 8.3% had good knowledge regarding PCOD. The pretest mean and Sd was 10.1±4.0. Post-test knowledge regarding PCOD depicted that 81.7% of respondents had good knowledge whereas 16.7% and 1.6% reported average and poor knowledge. The post test mean and SD was 19.0±2.8. Effectiveness of PTP on knowledge regarding PCOD among adolescent girls was calculated by paired t- test; and value was 24.1 with p value of 0.001 (S) at ≤0.05 level of significance. It was highly significant. Chi square test revealed that there was significant association between pre-test knowledge score with age (p value 0.02) and previous knowledge socio-demographic variable p value 0.05 at ≤0.05 level of significanceConclusions: The overall findings of the study clearly shows that the pretest knowledge was very less related to PCOD and there is the statistically enhancement in post-test knowledge after PTP. It reveals that, if the adolescent girls are provided regular awareness programme on PCOD will definitely brief up their knowledge, which in turn to improve the total quality of one’s reproductive health.

Background of the Study: The most common endocrine condition among women of reproductive age is polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Amenorrhea, hirsutism, infertility, obesity, acne vulgaris, and androgenic alopecia are some of the symptoms. PCOS is a stigmatising condition that has a negative impact on a woman's identity, mental health, and overall quality of life (QOL). In India, this issue has gotten too little attention. PCOS is a hormonal imbalance that affects one out of every ten women of childbearing age. PCOS causes hormonal imbalances and metabolism issues in women, which can have an impact on their overall health and attractiveness. Infertility can also be caused by PCOS, which is a common and treatable condition. Objectives: 1. To assess the existing level of anxiety and depression among polycystic ovarian disease women. 2. To assess the testosterone level in polycystic ovarian disease women. 3. To assess the effectiveness of yoga on level of anxiety and depression among polycystic ovarian disease women. 4. To associate the level of anxiety with selected demographic variables. 4. To associate the level of depression with selected demographic variables. Material and Methods: A Experimental one group pre-test and post-test study design  was undertaken to assess effectiveness of yoga (Malasana) related to level of  anxiety and depression among polycystic ovarian disease women . In this study a total number of 30 women who fulfill the inclusion criteria were selected. Modified anxiety rating scale and modified depression scale was developed to assess effectiveness of yoga (Malasana) related to level of anxiety and depression among polycystic ovarian disease women. Expected Results: This study is planned to assess the effectiveness of yoga (Malasana)  on  level of  anxiety and depression among polycystic ovarian disease. Hence it is expected to evaluate the effectiveness of yoga (Malasana) on level of anxiety and depression which helps to understand the effectiveness of malasana on anxiety and depression among polycystic ovarian disease women. Conclusion: The conclusion will be drawn from the results.

Abstract Inactive ovaries (IO) is a kind of postpartum ovarian disease in dairy cows, which sometimes accounts for 50% of ovarian disease, which seriously affects the dairy cows’s reproductive efficiency. To explore the metabolic changes in the serum and follicular fluid of dairy cows with IO during lactation, in this study six estrus (E) cows and six IO cows at 50 to 55 days in milk were selected according to B ultrasonic detection and clinical manifestations. The differential metabolites in serum and follicular fluid between the E cows and IO cows were identified by ultra-high-pressure liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry, combined with multidimensional statistical methods. The result shows that dairy cows with IO were in a subclinical ketosis status (BHBA > 1.20 mmol/L), 14 differential metabolites in the serum of IO cows included 10 increased metabolites and 4 decreased metabolites, while 14 differential metabolites in the follicular fluid of IO cows included 8 increased metabolites and 6 decreased metabolites. These differential metabolites mainly involve 9 metabolic pathways. Among them, the common enrichment pathway of different metabolites in serum and follicular fluid are glycerophospholipid metabolism, pentose and glucuronate interconversions. In conclusion, there are significant differences in the differential metabolites and enrichment pathways between serum and follicular fluid of IO cows. It implies that there are the complex changes in blood metabolism and local follicular metabolism of IO cows with subclinical ketosis, which their interaction relationship needs to be further confirmed.

Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD), Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) and cholelithiasis are the major female health issues in the modern times having significant potential to increase the chances of infertility. The allopathic treatment of these conditions relies on suppressing the symptoms only and are also not afforded by all. But in Ayurveda a holistic approach to disease is followed. An effective management of all three conditions with Ayurveda is well described with the present case study. A 40 years old Hindu non-smoking, non-alcoholic female residing Noida presented to the OPD of Shuddhi Ayurveda Clinic, Jeena Sikho Lifecare Pvt. Ltd. Noida on 12 September, 2020. The patient was presented with her previous ultasonographic reports which indicated the worst condition of her liver along with polycystic ovary and gall bladder stone. After Ayurvedic treatment for the duration of almost 10 months, a remarkable change in the liver was observed with reduced values of liver parameters. The ultrasonic reports of after treatment showed negligible presence of ovarian cyst and bladder stone showing effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatment in the management of these diseases without any side effect.
