Socio-Communicative Register Switching as a Parameter of Linguistic Creativity: Cinematic Discourse vs Discourse of Children’s LiteratureThis study is devoted to the discourse specificity of socio-communicative register switching as a parameter of linguistic creativity. A contrastive analysis of cinematic discourse and discourse of children’s literature helped to define the characteristics of register and the criteria of socio-communicative dissonance, which served to distinguish between creative and non-creative use of register switching. The study identifies three creative techniques of register switching, demonstrating socio-communicative dissonance (as intentional pragmatic distortion) in social roles, communicative situations and socio-communicative discourse format. The results indicate the parametric variance of activity in the discourse types under consideration, with higher values of both creative and non-creative techniques in the discourse of children’s literature, and higher relative values of creative vs non-creative use of socio-communicative register switching in cinematic discourse. The results also demonstrate the efficiency of the parametric method in the study of linguistic creativity. Przełączanie rejestrów socjokomunikatywnych jako parametr kreatywności lingwistycznej. Dyskurs kinowy vs dyskurs literatury dziecięcejPrzedmiotem artykułu jest dyskursowa specyfika przełączania rejestrów socjokomunikatywnych w roli parametru kreatywności lingwistycznej. Konfrontatywna analiza dyskursu uwzględniająca dyskurs kinowy i dyskurs literatury dziecięcej pomogła określić charakterystykę rejestrów oraz kryteria dysonansu socjokomunikatywnego, co posłużyło do wskazania różnic pomiędzy kreatywnym a niekreatywnym użyciem przełączania rejestrów. Stwierdzono istnienie trzech kreatywnych technik przełączania rejestrów, wprowadzających dysonans socjokomunikatywny (będący celowym zniekształceniem pragmatycznym) w zakresie ról społecznych, sytuacji komunikacyjnych i formatu dyskursu socjokomunikatywnego. Rezultaty pokazują zmienność aktywności parametrowej konfrontowanych typów dyskursu, z wyższymi wartościami zarówno kreatywnych, jak i niekreatywnych technik w dyskursie literatury dziecięcej, a zarazem wyższymi relatywnymi wartościami wykorzystania przełączania kreatywnych rejestrów socjokomunikatywnych w dyskursie kinowym. Jednocześnie rezultaty dowodzą skuteczności metody parametrycznej w badaniach nad kreatywnością lingwistyczną.

In this article, the notions of discourse and discourse categories are considered within the framework of a cognitive-communicative paradigm. In particular, three groups of discourse categories: cognitive, communicative and metadiscursive are considered in this paper. Within the group of cognitive discourse categories, I consider Restoration ideology and argue, that the institution of theatre and the dramatic discourse of the period became powerful means royal propaganda. I argue, that the dramatic discourse of the English Restoration performed two main functions: entertainment and dissemination of a new ideology. In this paper, I substantiate that the religious discourse of English Puritanism was replaced by the secular Restoration one. Within the group of cognitive categories, I also single out basic discourse-generative concepts of the dramatic discourse of the English Restoration. As to the group of communicative discourse categories, I focus on the values, chronotope, and the participants of the dramatic discourse of the English Restoration. I argue, that Restoration discourse disseminated libertine values such as licentiousness and debauchery. As to the chronotope of the dramatic discourse of the English Restoration, in this article, I state that the events in Restoration drama take place mostly in popular and familiar to both readers and viewers places of the London of the seventeenth century and discourse participants are mostly representatives of a wealthy upper middle class and the nobility. Within the group of metadiscursive discourse categories, I focus on the existing variety of genres inherent in the dramatic discourse of the English Restoration.

The article investigates the publicity phenomenon in modern education as a moral-communicative discourse of a technogenic society. The study confirms that a person's identity falls under the manipulative influence and becomes the target of direct social and communicative coercion in the public environment. The educational environment includes a lot of public informatization. The article proves that educational media practices in public communications form certain public strategies such as the social organization of society, its socio-cultural norms, and values. The nature of these strategies is sometimes contrived, perfunctory and favorable for information confrontation, serves the only material interests and needs. The study proves that the concept of communicative competence of modern youth, which is constantly in a changing, information-saturated public environment, becomes especially important in the modern educational environment. It must have complex communication skills of social and public adaptation, techniques of effective interpersonal communication in which morality would not have a hidden nature, would not focus only on the physiologically-hidden nature of a person and would not invent surrogate identities. Such kind of publicity including the skills of communicative competence in the educational environment is the requirements of a modern technogenic civilization trying to survive. It is stated that in the present time when information and communication can act as effective activators of value-moral principles of educational culture. Such communication skills are necessary for the fast formation of sustainable principles of cross-cultural understanding that would support the values of tolerance and a healthy lifestyle. In such a case, the development of science and educational competences of all participants of the educational process should lead to periodic modification, improvement of the whole system of interpersonal communication, giving them new forms directed to the tolerance, in which the subject of communication finds himself in the "Other", or find "Other" in himself.

The proposed article considers the politics of memory as a tool for overcoming crises in contemporary Ukrainian society. In an open information society, memory is a resource of social dialogue, which provides the construction of a conventional grand narrative, multilateral communication of different groups and segments of the population, the search for opportunities for understanding and reconciliation. There is still no general public consensus in Ukraine on the „alien”, anti-Ukrainian nature of imperial and communist power imposed from outside. Political discussions continue on the interpretation of the Russian imperial and totalitarian Soviet past between the bearers of different conflicting models of memory – neo-Soviet, national-state and liberal. In the post-Maidan period, Ukrainian society is testing a wide range of mnemonic tools of historical policy related to the realities of hybrid warfare and the need to change the emphasis in the language of memory. Decommunization has become an essential step towards the dialogic practices of commemoration and departure from the speculative verbal-symbolic arsenal of post-truth. The implementation of new accents of memory policy is organically connected with digital mobility, which provides alternative platforms of mnemonic practices and expands the possibilities of recalling, remembering, reassessing the events of the past in virtual communicative discourse. The author substantiates the thesis about the ambivalence of memory policy in Ukraine, argues that the Russian cultural and informational influence negatively affects the processes of implementation of constructive directions of memory policy in Ukraine, the establishment of national dialogue. Key words: memory policy, social dialogue, hybrid war, commemoration, postmemory, post-truth, digital mobility.

The appeal to the problem of polyfunctionality of art is caused by the modern post-postmodern situation in the field of philosophical and cultural knowledge, which raised the problem of understanding the essence of art and its existence. A stochastic state was revealed, an uncertainty in view of the transformations of art itself, following not only the footsteps of the changing world, but also anticipating civilizational shifts, guessing a lot of probabilities and possibilities in the cultural movement of humanity. In this regard, the article rethinks the problem of the polyfunctionality of art and puts forward the idea of the polyfunctionality of art in the problematic field of aesthetics. Art is considered by the authors from the point of view of phenomenology and axiology as an aesthetic way of being in the human world, as a valuable interaction of a person with the world, as a subject of constructing new meanings and meanings by the consciousness when meeting with art. The article asserts the polyfunctional essence of art, which, according to the authors, stems from the variety of interpretations of the concept of «art» in the history of aesthetic thought and modern discourse, due to the multidimensional nature of its manifestations in the human life world. After analyzing various approaches to the understanding of art, and following the phenomenological methodology, as well as the ontological method and axiological approach, the authors came to the conclusion that definitions do not answer the question «what is art?», they rather say «what is art for?». In other words, it is not «what is» that is defined, but «what it means». It is noted that the leading functions recognized in aesthetics, such as aesthetic, communicative, harmonizing, transforming, are predominant at certain stages of culture, but they are separate functions of art that do not exhaust the fullness of the multifunctional essence, the ideological integrity of art in culture. It is pointed out that at the present stage, the features of openness, isolation, and «atomicity» of the communicative discourse are becoming more and more acute, leading to a change in the models of art functions, determining the problematic nature of the aesthetic «super-function» of art in the promotion of civilizational and cultural space. The idea of the polyfunctional essence of art presupposes a specific form of mental development of the polyfunctionality of art, is the principle of explaining the existence of art and includes the process of further searching for the definition of art on the basis of its multi-valued existence in culture.

The current state of world development is characterized by a dynamic deepening of the processes of integration of political, economic, cultural life of the world. Now we can observe the rapprochement of different countries and peoples, which has a significant impact on their culture, values, language and speech elements. This process is called globalization. As a result of globalization, there is an interpenetration of languages, which blurs the boundaries between languages, which is manifested in changes in the lexical, grammatical and syntactic levels of language. Borrowings are primarily distributed through the media and the Internet. The objective of the article is to investigate the influence of globalization processes taking place in the society on the formation of the latest business communicative discourse. Research methods: descriptive method, method of comparative analysis, which make it possible to determine the specifics of the Ukrainian language functioning at the present level and draw conclusions about the material processed. At the heart of the globalization of official business discourse is the Ukrainian model of society. It is closely connected with the Ukrainian language, which has been fighting for its rights for centuries in order to take a worthy place among the worlds languages. That is why attention is paid to the development trends of the Ukrainian language in modern conditions, in particular the issue of language culture. Globalization determines the prospects for the development of the Ukrainian language today. The consequence of globalization is cultural integration, it is a tool for influencing national culture and language. The processes of globalization can have both positive and negative effects on the language situation, ie it can be argued that globalization has a two-vector nature. There are three globalization tendencies in the development of the Ukrainian language today. The first is the development in Ukrainian of the world space previously closed to it. The second is a change in the status of the Ukrainian language. Now it is in demand in the official business sphere, in the field of education, culture, economics, politics, etc. The third is language policy in Ukraine, strengthening the role of the Ukrainian language as a state-building language. The modern business sphere is an effective means of transmitting information designed for the maximum audience. Its specificity is determined primarily by its functional nature to be a means of influence. Business relationships react instantly to changes and events in the world, capture them. The issue of the culture of the Ukrainian language remains relevant and appears globally in the context of the development of the Ukrainian state. Urgently, this issue manifests itself in the official business style, as the field of office work still uses a huge number of copies of the Russian language and forgets about the actual Ukrainian versions. This problem is due to the functioning of the Ukrainian language in the context of bilingualism. We should not forget that the success of the case depends on the level of language training, on the ability to formulate an opinion correctly. Successfully selected words and explanations make it possible to take into account the situation of business communication, the problem and find a decent solution. Therefore, the arsenal of language tools used by the business sector today has changed and requires a separate study.
