Data collection was done by sampling with questionnaires and observation techniques. Through descriptive statistical analysis of the results of the variables Self-Efficacy (X1) and Motivation (X2) obtained from questionnaires for 30 respondents using the percentage of answers to 35 indicators. The same method in motivational variable data is for 12 indicators. Moreover, with the same method, the result data of lecturer performance variable (Y) towards 26 question indicators stated that lecturer performance at STPI is already good or high, it means that the correlation between two positive variables is solemnly strong. The result of this study indicated that self-efficacy and motivation are closely and strongly related to the effectiveness of the performance of STPI lecturers in the application of Higher Education Tridharma by STPI lecturers.

Individuals do not all come to tasks, activities, or assignments with the same readiness to engage. Differences in the ability to focus, comprehend, or problem-solve can lead to inequalities of outcome and make learners less likely to realize their potential. Given that interest development supports persistence, conscientiousness, and the ability to work with negative feedback, educators and policymakers could help to increase educational opportunity for all by promoting the development of interest. Interest is a cognitive and motivational variable that describes (a) engagement, or participation, with some content (such as physics, writing, or baseball) and also (b) the motivation to continue to seek opportunities to engage with that content: seeking information, posing questions, and tackling challenge. Interest works because the information search it creates is rewarding. The development of interest heightens understanding and sustains engaged work. It also positively influences outcomes such as performance and continued enrollment. Even the development of a little interest can make a difference. Educators and policymakers can enhance educational opportunities by promoting interest development. Methods are described.

This research is a field research using a quantitative approach. The research results can be concluded that the provision of motivation has a significant effect on employee performance at PT. Bank Sumut Syariah KCP Marelan. This can be seen from the hypothesis test where the coefficient of determination (R2) shows 0.714 or 71.4%, meaning that the performance variable can be explained by the motivational variable by 71.4% while the remaining 28.6% is explained by other variables outside the research. And in the t test obtained tcount of 5,469. meaning tcount (5,469)> ttable (1,782) and Pvalue (0.00) <α (0.05), meaning that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. While the regression model formed states that motivation provides a significant effect on performance with a coefficient of 1,004 which means that if motivation is given as much as 1 time the performance will increase by 1,004.

This chapter focuses on interest as a cognitive and affective motivational variable that develops and can be supported to develop. It provides an explanation of Hidi and Renninger’s (2006; Renninger & Hidi, 2016) four-phase model of interest development and its relation to other approaches to interest, including interest conceptualized as an emotion, experience, task features, value, or vocational interest, and considers issues pertaining to the identification and measurement of interest as a variable that develops. Following this, the chapter reviews research that tracks interest over time as well as studies that focus on earlier and/or later phases of interest, with particular attention to (a) the triggering of interest in both earlier and later phases of interest, (b) maintaining interest once it has been triggered, (c) fluctuations in interest, and (d) shifts between phases in the development of interest. Two studies of interest development are reviewed in depth and their complementarities are described to illustrate how consideration of study complementarity can provide validation and insight about interest development. Finally, a Punnett square is used to demonstrate how it can enable the identification of relations among a learner’s phase of interest, the achievement demands of the learning environment, and metacognitive awareness, in addition to suggesting next steps for the study of interest development.

This paper aims to identify the voluntary motivations that lead people to volunteer at the House of the Child with Cancer. The empirical part of the article had as a locus the House of the Child with Cancer located in the municipality of João Pessoa/PB. The empirical data was collected based on the theoretical model of Cavalcante (2012), which identifies the motivations within voluntary work. Through this research it is possible to manage people in the third sector. The quantitative method of research was applied, including the use of 30 questionnaires with all volunteers working in the House of the Child with Cancer. Statistical measures were used for data analysis, standard deviation and coefficient of variation. The results showed that, in the following order, the major motivational variables of the research participants in the institution are related to: selflessness, learning and social justice. It is also observed that the selfish motivational variable was the least relevant for the volunteers in terms of voluntary motivation.
