Over the years, accountability in education has transformed from the primary focus being the school as a whole to the individual teacher. The purpose of this study was to determine the metrics Tennessee school-based agricultural education teachers perceive as indicators of excellent total programs (classroom instruction, FFA, SAE), and a modified Delphi study was used to seek a consensus. The following nine metrics were retained: (a) pesticide certification, (b) program of activities, (c) number of students participating in CDEs, (d) chapter community service hours, (e) total number of FFA activities, (f) number of CDEs coached, (g) at least one proficiency at regional level, (h) one American degree every 3 years, and (i) percentage of students with SAE. Overall, the metrics agreed upon are narrow in focus and all but one is a record of activity and not direct measures of students’ knowledge or skills. As a result, the measures do not include student growth or value-added scores or authentic assessments of 21st century skills. Additional research is needed to further investigate the metrics that should be used to measure a school-based agricultural education program’s success in Tennessee and across the nation.

A single parent’s phenomenon as a vulnerable family is commonly found in Indonesia with an increasing number from year to year. This study aimed to see the profile of a single parent in Indonesia and the implementation of family functions. A quantitative approach through secondary data analysis from the 2019 Program Accountability Performance Survey Family Module was used in this research. Processing and data analysis were carried out descriptively using cross-tabulation and chi-square correlation tests. The results showed a picture of a single parent in Indonesia that require special attention, namely single mothers due to a divorce, age group of 31–50 years, have many children, have low education, moderate economic status, have a job, live in urban areas, and most of them are in Java. The practice of implementing family functions is still deficient in single parent. Based on its characteristics, only the level of education, wealth, work status, and knowledge of family functions were positively and significantly related to the practice of family function in single parent. This study recommends the need for strategies in optimizing the implementation of family functions in single parent, namely socialization and strengthening of family functions, mainly reproductive functions, by prioritizing the description of a single parent in Indonesia that require special attention.

This chapter describes the history of UC Links, including the original Fifth Dimension and its later adaptation, La Clase Mágica, and how through these programs' learning activities, undergraduates enrolled in a university practicum course, and younger peers, participating in a local after-school program, together engage in the joint exploration of digital technologies. The authors then describe how the original model began to be adopted and adapted in a network of colleges and universities throughout the United States and beyond. The chapter offers concise descriptions of UC Links founding university-community partnerships and a summary of its institutional strategies for ensuring program accountability and sustainability. The chapter closes with an ethnographic focus on the historical development of the Fifth Dimension in Solana Beach, from the time it became a UC Links program in 1996 to the present.

An accountability is one of the important topics in scientific studies and public administration practice. This is because the public pays great attention to the implementation of policies, programs, projects and routine activities carried out by public sector institutions. However, in practice, we often find practices in public institutions that do not reflect accountability, especially in the zakat sector. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and document review studies. The results of this study include the legal accountability of the application of rules or laws related to the collection of zakat that has not been applied, namely the preparation of the zakat collection report required by BAZNAS Bandar Lampung City twice a year and only once a year, the target of collecting zakat which refers to the Decree of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia number 333 of 2015 that LAZ at the district / city level was able to collect as much as Rp. 3,000,000,000 (three billion rupiah) has not been successful, process accountability, program accountability, policy accountability. The accountability of the process of implementing the existing zakat collection procedure flow has been running effectively and efficiently. The process of internal obstacles consists of the lack of qualified human resources in terms of law and technology. The accountability of the zakat collection program is divided into two, counters and electronic. The policy accountability in the policy-making stages originates from the division meeting material which is then brought to the working meeting of the board of directors and executives for discussion
