Communication is the main currency through which we make transactions in the social world. Without it, interactions among people would be mechanical. Dementia is one of the mental disorders with the abilities of excluding one from participating in a social world. The aim of this study was to review literature on the efficacy of nonverbal communication when working with people living with dementia. A narrative style of literature review was used in writing this article. It involved conducting an online search of articles from the following scientific databases (2000-2019): ProQuest Central, ScienceDirect, Wiley online library, Springer Link, and Oxford Journals. Only articles that had been peer reviewed were selected in writing this review. The process of selecting articles involved pairing the word dementia in every search with the following key words: communication, epidemiology, types, nonverbal, touch, instrumental, expressive, facial expressions and eye contacts, and personal space. Themes were then extracted from the selected articles. From our findings we concluded that nonverbal communication is an important component for working with people living with dementia. This is because people living with dementia have a reduced capacity to use the verbal form of communication. This now makes it necessary for professionals providing care to people living with dementia to be acquainted with nonverbal forms of communication.

The importance of the partnership between the parents and the kindergarten is indisputable and there are a number of works which explore the topic of the collaboration between the parents and the preschool teachers. However, there is a lack of studies that examine the parents perception of the satisfaction with the specific elements of the kindergarten, which is an important predictor for a high-quality partnership, in the present and in the future. In accordance with the aforementioned, the goal of this research is to determine the level of the parents satisfaction with the specific elements of the kindergarten, as well as the reasons for the enrolment of children in the kindergarten. The research participants are the parents (N=132) of the children in early childhood and the preschool children who are enrolled in the kindergartens established by the units of the local self-government in the Međimurje County. The results show that the parents are predominantly satisfied with the kindergarten, and the childrens social and emotional development is highlighted as the reason for the childrens enrolment in the educational institution. Key words: communication; space; the parents attitudes; partnership with the kindergartenVažnost partnerstva roditelja i dječjeg vrtića je neupitna te postoje mnoga istraživanja i radovi koji se bave pitanjem suradnje roditelja i odgajatelja.

Interpersonal and communication skills (ICS) are central to the practice of psychiatry. These skills are broad and can be defined in several ways, and several frameworks are presented, using the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education competencies as well as other published guidelines. ICS are essential to good patient care and require special knowledge in psychiatry due to the particular diseases that are encountered. ICS are equally valuable to psychiatrists in communicating with family members, other physicians, and other members of the healthcare team, as well as in education and leadership. Recommendations for adapting ICS to these circumstances are outlined. For psychiatry trainees, regular evaluation of ICS is mandated but is also recommended for practicing psychiatrists. If deficiencies are noted, strategies for addressing them can be pursued, and suggested improvement practices are provided. This review contains 2 figures, 4 tables, and 21 references. Key Words: communication, communication skills, consultation-liaison psychiatry, doctor-patient communication, interpersonal, psychiatry, psychotherapy, therapeutic alliance, rapport

Palabras Clave: Comunicación –cine africano –cosmovisiones –interculturalidad -colonialismo The Eyes of the Cinema: Introduction to the Anthropology of Cinema in traveling and close-up on the (anti) colonial representations of Africa Abstract.-Communication goes beyond the limits of the simple transmission of information, plays a fundamental role in the construction of ideologies. One of its many manifestations is what we know as the concept of "art". The cinematography indicated as seventh art, is not excluded from complex frames of communication and cultural diffusion, on the contrary, perhaps it is the most complex artistic manifestation due to its ability to articulate different languages with different symbolic load. It is crucial to see cinema as a cultural tool that contrasts ideologies and worldviews at different semiotic and trans-systemic levels, which takes an intercultural accent in a global world. Of this, a magnificent illustration is "The African Cinema", where its particularities are found, precisely, in the socio-political and cultural contexts that have crossed its history; from colonialism to the present. Key Words: Communication -African cinema -worldviews -interculturality –colonialism
