Modern healthcare systems have been dominated by virtual approaches and digital technologies. This has increased the concern for the security of healthcare devices and data due to the lack of information confidentiality and data integrity in this sector. Information category at risk and the importance of patient safety make cybersecurity unique in the field of health. Regarding the context of this problem construction of cyber resilience in healthcare organizations has become a vital task. A comprehensive solution to this problem can be obtained by the combination of human behavioral changes, technological enhancements, process modifications, and new legislations and regulations.

Abstract This chapter reports on a co-creation project that was conducted in the city district Bremen Osterholz. A core group of 11 older residents co-created a digital district guide over the duration of ten months. In a first step, the group identified an information gap between existing neighbourhood resources to support older residents and older residents’ awareness about them. The solution proposed was to better inform older adults in order to facilitate social participation in their everyday lives (ranging from consulting services to social encounters and outdoor activities). Members of the core group defined the specific information needs (including relevant attributes for each information category) and collected data for all categories. In addition, focus groups with 80 older residents were conducted with the support of local social care service providers. The focus groups were used partly for collecting information about the district, but also for testing the first prototype. The chapter describes co-creation methods such as cultural probes and data tables. It concludes with lessons learned.

Purpose: The “Principles of transparency and best practice in scholarly publishing” are of increasing importance in an open science environment as a way to increase the transparency and quality of academic society journals. However, little previous research has investigated the application of this new guideline in practice. The aim of this study was to investigate the degree to which this guideline is being applied by Korean academic society– published journals listed in Journal Citation Reports. Methods: The researchers investigated the homepages of 59 Korean academic society– published journals to evaluate whether they had adopted the 33 items listed in the guideline. Based on the information available on the journals’ homepages, each item was classified as ‘yes’ or ‘no’ within the four categories of basic journal information, publication ethics, copyright and archiving information, and profit model. Results: The basic journal information category was generally well-practiced, with the exceptions of the peer review process, readership, and author fees. The copyright and licensing information category was also well-practiced, with the exception of policies on posting accepted articles with third parties and archiving items. However, most items in the publication ethics category were not well practiced, with the exception of authorship and intellectual property. All items in the profit model category were infrequently implemented. Conclusion: These findings serve as a good indicator for Korean journal editors of areas for improvement. It may be helpful to review journals’ publication policies and homepages to comply with international publishing standards.

Various information systems adopt different information category standards and description methods even for the same battlefield space. This leads to the heterogeneity of information distributed in different systems, which hinders the information sharing among different systems. In this paper, we adopt the idea of schema mapping and design a framework of realizing heterogeneous information sharing based on content. We design a concept-logic tree model to organize the battlefield situation information and realize the mapping from local concept models in different systems to a global unified concept model. By constructing a unified information space, we realize the centralized organization, storage, and management of entity description information. Then, the information broadcasting mechanism and content based information query mechanism are designed to realize information sharing. Theoretical analysis and experiment results verify the effectiveness of the proposed framework.

We compare traditional and new methods of information search in computer networks. As the result we prove the necessity of considering the quality of information category in the process of information search by students of all forms of education. We give the definitions of “junk information” and information quality. It is necessary to take into account the information quality for intellectualization of information search and eventually for efficacy improvement of information search. One of the main sources of quality information on the Internet is legal electronic libraries. We consider the characteristics of network sources, which contain quality information and allow students to differ legal electronic libraries from unauthorized. As the example we consider several electronic libraries. We recommend to lecturers several tasks, which can be useful for students while learning methods of intellectual information search in electronic educational resources, these tasks are aimed to form competencies of modern educational standards. We conclude it is necessary to pay far more attention to the issue of quality information search on the Internet, than we do today.
