Abstract- Museum as an architectural object with its function as an educational and recreational facility is open to public and must be able to be used by all people. Therefore, the design of museums must be accessible for all people, including those with special needs. One of the museums in Indonesia which is considered to be a good work of architecture is the Museum of Bank Indonesia. It receives many visitors from various circles, including people with visual impairments. To accommodate visitors with visual impairments, the Museum of Bank Indonesia must have design features that help them to do activities, despite their limited sense of sight. Through this study, the research aims to find out how physical elements in the Museum of Bank Indonesia accommodates the orientation and mobility of visitors with visual impairments. This is a qualitative research, with a descriptive discussion. The collected data are the data on physical elements in the Museum of Bank Indonesia and the data on the behavior of visually impaired visitors while doing orientation and mobility in the Museum of Bank Indonesia exhibition area. The data are collected through observation and interview, then analyzed by using a table which elaborates physical elements from technical requirements aspect and sensory design aspect, and how they accommodate visually impaired visitors. Research shows that some physical elements in the Museum of Bank Indonesia are already adequate in accommodating visually impaired visitors. They able to provide assistance for visually impaired visitors while doing orientation and mobility, as well as gathering information on the museum objects. On the other hand, there are also some physical elements that hinder visually impaired visitors because they don’t technically meet the user’s needs. Therefore, improvement in the physical elements design is needed, so it can accommodate visitors with visual impairments better.   Key Words: museum, visual impairment, Bank Indonesia, universal design, sensory design

Depok city has now developed into one of the cities that experienced quite high growth in the JABODETABEK area. For the people of the city itself a comfortable city can not be met only with infrastructure development, but also required public space to interact and socialize one of them by utilizing the natural potential that exists as a recreational facility. Lake as a natural beauty with the form of protected areas has a function as a water importer (recharge) in groundwater basins, clean water reserves, land fisheries and recreational facilities. Situ Tipar is one of the four that is being prioritized to improve competitiveness in 2020. But for the existing condition of Situ Tipar still has some problems, namely the misuse of the border there, the lack of quality and quantity of public facilities and existing conditions that are not maintained so that the lake has not been able to facilitate tourists who come to Situ Tipar. On this basis, this research was carried out to provide recommendations to the government and surrounding residents to organize areas that improve the quality of Tipar in accordance with its function and positive impacts that can prosper the surrounding residents. This research refers to existing data and combined with the study of government and empirical regulations. The analysis method that the author uses is policy analysis, location, footprint, tourist attraction and best practices with descriptive analysis tools, SWOT and benchmarking Keywords:  City; Recreation; Situ AbstrakKota Depok kini telah berkembang menjadi salah satu kota yang mengalami pertumbuhan cukup tinggi di wilayah Jabodetabek.

There is an intrinsic relationship between photovoltaic materials and building forms; although there are numerous imaginations and concepts about buildings integrated photovoltaic materials. The relationship between these two components needed to be identified and examined in the process of architectural decision making. This thesis explores the relationship between photovoltaic materials and building forms in particular geographical and climatic environments through case studies and then proposes an architectural design project. Based on the research suggestion, the design illustrates how a recreational facility adopts an approximate building form for photovoltaic integration and how the concept is developed. Some implications and principle for solar design are summarized in the final chapter.

The article examines the process of degradation of the landscape-ecological framework of the city due to the dominance of the human-centered approach to the urban recreational areas’ organization. Using the methods of cartographic analysis, full-scale photographic recording, synthesis and abstraction, a study of the recreational territories of Kharkov city was carried out and three main types of recreational objects development were identified: small recreational objects (up to 10 hectares), which completely lost the opportunity for sustainable development, self-creation and are completely dependent from human withdrawal; medium-sized district and city parks, which are being reorganized into urban parks and amusement parks with a high level of recreational load; large elements of the landscape-ecological framework, which are degrading due to the complete absence of the recreational organization of the territory. It was also determined that the main reasons for the loss of sustainable development by recreational facilities are: lack of a comprehensive strategy of the system of landscape and recreational areas development for the city; making situational decisions about the reconstruction of recreational facilities in the city; inconsistency of the park’s type within its place in the structure of the landscape-ecological framework of the city; preference for the organization of park areas with high recreational loads; irregular organization of recreational areas in the city. The main steps of the strategy for the integrated development of the city landscape-recreational system are proposed, which are as follows: determining the level of value of a recreational facility in the structure of the city landscape-ecological framework, assessing the sustainability of a recreational facility development at the present stage, predicting the types of recreational organization of territories, the prospective level of recreational load, and the level of domestication of the object in order to preserve its sustainable development in the future.

Understanding the decision-making behavior of pedestrians is essential for urban designers and developers in enhancing the commercial and aesthetic value of streets and other urban spaces. However, limited research has been conducted on the activity scheduling behavior of pedestrians. The majority of the studies conducted on outdoor facilities utilize spatial representations by links and are unable to sufficiently represent the highly flexible behavior of pedestrians. This study proposes a new method to discretize data from the global positioning system (GPS) into a two-dimensional grid-based spatial representation with a high spatial resolution. The information regarding the stay at the point of interests (POIs) is extracted from the discretized data, and the activity scheduling model is estimated. The estimation results indicate that the visitors’ attributes, such as the age of the representative and number of children, affect the probability of the activity choice and the time spent at the POI. The probability of choosing the main gate increases in the latter half of the stay, confirming the existence of time pressure. The information on the decision-making behavior of the visitors to a facility, obtained from the GPS data, can be applied to the data-oriented spatial design process to create attractive and lively spaces.

Although dead wood is considered to be one of the most reliable indicators for measuring the level of biodiversity, it was still seemingly unpopular with the public. In order to identify the public’s preferences for dead wood and explore the driving factors for it, this study investigated academic-related group and layman group preferences for a variety of forms of dead wood in different types of environment through the use of questionnaire surveys. The results showed: (a) The participants preferred the urban natural environments with dead wood, especially the layman group; (b) the existence of dead wood in semi-open/semi-closed green space and blue space was most likely to be appreciated; (c) the participants most liked the dead wood with a peculiar shape in the semi-open/semi-closed and the closed green space, and a regular shape in the open green space; (d) the information of landscape appreciation had the greatest positive influence on public’s dead wood preference, followed by the information of recreational facility and ecological education, and the information of “leading the way” was the least; (e) the present findings serve to provide a practical guidance for future optimal planning of urban environments from urban biodiversity and human recreation aspects.

Reduced public open space due to competition in urban areas has resulted in reduced community gathering activities (third place). Many big cities in Indonesia are aggressively building new parks or revitalizing old parks, like in the city of Jakarta. This is because the population density reaches 15,663 people / km2. The population continues to grow from 4.5 million people (1970) to double that, which is 9.6 million in 2010, while now it has reached 10.4 million people and is estimated to be 11-15 million by 2020-2030. As a result, almost all of the surface of the city has been devoured by buildings and changed the function of its designation Kelapa Gading sub-district with an area of 161.21 ha, this district has several shopping centers whose area exceeds the existing green space, namely, an area of 996,215 m2, through the results of observational studies that have been carried out then a proposed project that can meet the needs of the ivory coconut community for a healthy lifestyle with limited land as a means of sports that can accommodate various groups of people. Not only as a sports facility, but as a recreational facility and container that can accommodate interactions in the ivory coconut community. By looking at the parameters that exist in designing the third space, this design is adjusted to the ivory community's need for public space as the third space.
