The article presents the determination of the topographic spatial resolution of an optical point sensor. It is quantified by the lateral period limit DLIM measured on a type ASG material measure, also called (topographic) Siemens star, with a confocal sensor following both a radial measurement and evaluation, as proposed by ISO 25178-70, and the measurement and subsequent evaluation of two line scans, proposed by the NPL Good Practice Guide. As will be shown, for the latter, an only slightly misidentified target centre of the Siemens star leads to quite significant errors of the determined DLIM. Remarkably, a misidentified target centre does not necessarily result in an overestimation of DLIM, but lower values might also be obtained. Therefore, a modified Good Practice Guide is proposed to determine DLIM more accurately, as it includes a thorough determination of the centre of the Siemens star as well. While the measurement and evaluation effort is increased slightly compared to the NPL Good Practice Guide, it is still much faster than a complete radial measurement and evaluation.

One of the main factors in achieving effective and efficient performance isattention to human resources. Having reliable and truly appropriate human resourceswith needs is the hope of every manager. The company needs employees with the appropriate abilities with job roles. As for the position of PT. Bogowonto Primalaras still uses a work period limit where employees cannot fill vacant positions at any time, based on the criteria of tenure an employee fulfills the term of service that is in accordance with his expectations. where on assessment in absenteeism is carried out by collecting daily report data that makes HRD send one by one who has sent the daily report. Where is the report related to the productivity criteria of an employee who has reached the target or not.

Background: Medical students who experience failure in the final exam are around 10%. In Indonesia, there are students who failed to pass the competency test for medical profession program students (UKMPPD) until 14 times. The impact of this failure is the occurence of mental health disorder. Students need support more than guidance on clinical knowledge and skills. This study aimed to identify the motivation and support needed by the UKMPPD retaker students in the effort to achieve graduation Methods: This research is a qualitative research with phenomenological approach, the data was obtained by in-depth interview and focus group discussion (FGD). This research was followed by 16 respondents. The data analysis was conducted by thematic analysis method. Results: Identified intrinsic motivation predictor originated from learning independence, relation, and low competence. The extrinsic motivation predictors are originated from external regulation, that is UKMPPD regulation. The motivation predictor is originated from anxiety and study period limit. The support needed by the respondents from medical schools are in the form of psychological approach, absolving the retaker students from selection tests, providing form of selection tests that compatible with the blueprint and rules of UKMPPD multiple choice question, also giving the opportunity to pass with other exam methods. Conditions of motivation can change with the factors that influence it. Changes in motivational conditions that may occur are an increase in motivational conditions, decreased motivational conditions, or persistent motivational conditions. Conclusion: The motivation condition of retaker students is amotivated and motivated (external and internal motivation). Support from medical school that can increase motivation is given to students to keep their motivation level.

The multicolour CCD light curves of the eclipsing binary systems CRTS J213033.6+213159 and 1SWASP J212454.61+203030.8 are presented for the first time, the observations are analyzed using the latest version of the WilsonDevinney code. Both the systems are found to be W UMa contact binaries belonging two different subtypes. All the light curves show the inverse O'Connell effect. By using our 2 times of minimum light for both the systems and the 187 and 105 ToMs extract from the SWASP observations, respectively for CRTS J213033.6+213159 and for 1SWASP J212454.61+203030.8, the orbital periods are here revised. The spectral type K of the systems and their short orbital periods (< 0.3 days), suggests that they are near the shortest period limit. The absolute dimensions are estimated and, from statistical diagrams, it is found that both components of the systems follow the general pattern of the relative subtype of W Ursae Majoris systems.

ABSTRACT Close detached binaries were theoretically predicted to evolve into contact by three subtypes of case A binary evolution, cases AD, AR, and AS, which correspond to the formation of contact during dynamic-, thermal-, and nuclear-time-scale mass transfer phases, respectively. It is unclear, however, what is the difference between contact binaries in these subtypes, and whether all of these subtypes can account for the formation of observed W Ursae Majoris (W UMa) binaries. Using Eggleton’s stellar evolution code with the non-conservative assumption, I obtained the low-mass contact binaries produced by cases AD, AR, and AS at the moment of contact and their parameter spaces. The results support that the progenitors of low-mass contact binaries are detached binaries with orbital periods shorter than $\sim 2\!-\!5\,$ d, and their borderlines depend strongly on the primary mass. In addition, the period–colour relations for cases AR and AS can be in better agreement with that for observed W UMa candidates, but case AD shows a significantly worse agreement. Moreover, cases AR and AS can produce a short-period limit (corresponding to a low-mass limit) at almost any age, e.g. from young age ($\sim 0.2\,$ Gyr) to old age ($\sim 13\,$ Gyr), agreeing with observed W UMa binaries in star clusters, but no such limit occurs for case AD at any age. These results support that cases AR and AS, as opposed to case AD, can lead to W UMa binaries (including young W UMa binaries).

Mutius Philippus Vincentius Franciscus Xaverius Clementi (b. 1752–d. 1832) was an Italian composer, a pianist virtuoso and conductor, a teacher, a publisher, and a musical entrepreneur. Son of Niccolò Clementi and Magdalena (née Kaiser), he was educated in Rome with, among others, Antonio Boroni and Gaetano Carpani. An oratorio (disp 1, old WO1), now lost, is dating from 1764. In 1766 he moved to Dorset (United Kingdom), following the English nobleman Peter Beckford (b. 1740–d. 1811), which assured him a solid continuity in the study of composition and the practice of the harpsichord. From around 1774 and 1780, Clementi settled in London, where he appeared in piano performances and composed his first works for piano, comprising solo and accompanied sonatas (Opp. 1–4 and the Op-sn 17, old WO2). Between 1780 and 1785, Clementi traveled for his first European trip between Paris, Lyons, and Vienna, where he appeared before the Emperor Joseph II for the famous piano competition with Mozart on 24 December 1781. During these years, Clementi composed the Opp. 5 and 6 (published in Paris by Bailleux) and the so-called “Viennese” sonatas Opp. 7–10 (published by Artaria, Castaud and Torricella), also comprising the Toccata Op. 11, the Op. 12, and other pieces. Back to London, Clementi continued his career as a performer (until around early 1790) and as a teacher. Belonging to this period is the largest part of Clementi’s musical production (from Op. 13 to Op. 39) made of solo and accompanied piano sonatas, the two symphonies Op. 18, also comprising his first musical tutor, the Introduction to the Art of Playing on the Piano Forte (Op. 42, 1801) and the Practical Harmony (Op-sn 38, old WO7, 1801–). Following the bankruptcy of Longman & Broderip, on 1 November 1798 Clementi became a senior partner in Longman, Clementi, and Co. and from 1801 onwards he founded Muzio Clementi & Co., establishing a successful business activity as a music publisher, as a piano maker and a music dealer for around thirty years. He started business relationships with Pleyel in Paris, Breitkopf and Härtel in Leipzig and Artaria in Vienna, reaching important goals as the contract with Haydn and the one with Beethoven of 1807. From the summer 1802 until 1810, Clementi traveled to the continental Europe, dealing mainly with the sponsoring of his business firm. His compositions for this period limit to Opp. 40 and 41, the Op-sn 12, old WO8, the Op. 50 (though published later in 1821), plenty of arrangements for piano and a huge number of revisions aimed at the inclusion within Breitkopf & Härtel’s important project of the Œuvres Complettes (1803–1819) and for his own firm. In the last period of his life, Clementi focused on the composition of his four major symphonies (remained unpublished), the Appendix Op. 43, the three volumes of the Gradus ad Parnassum Op. 44 (1817–1826), and the Opp. 46–49, the Opp-sn 25, 1 and 2 (old WO9, WO10, and WO11). Beyond being published by Clementi’s own publishing firms, Clementi’s works and revisions were reissued extensively by Welcker, Preston, Dale, Longman & Broderip, Bailleux, Sieber, Imbault, Porro, Castaud, Artaria, André, Breitkopf & Härtel, and Hoffmeister.

Al-Qur'an as a guide book through the concept of social laws seeks to encourage a positive transformation in human social life so that its function as a hudan can be realized. The social principles discussed in the Qur'an among other are those related to the dogmas that regulate the existence or period limit of human civilization. The doctrine is implied by this holy book through the terminology of ajal which is framed with the word ummah in QS. al-A‘raf 7: 34. The problem then arises regarding how to determine the meaning of ajal. This article is then written to address the problem that can be solved based on the mechanism of the epistemological framework of exegesis, using the syntagmatic-paradigmatic semiotic analysis of Ferdinand De Saussure. From the research that has been done, it is understood that the terminology of the collapse of the society’s civilization which is contained in the verse can be interpreted with the following senses: 1) It expresses the meaning of the population destruction caused by punishment; 2) It is interpreted as the phase of the end of the power/sovereign order of a nation as part of the characteristics of the community civilization entity. Generally, it was concluded that the trigger for the end of the civiliztion existence was caused by the fading of the religiosity in their lives which influenced the pattern of community interaction which then caused various kinds of social inequality. The disequilibrium that arises in the midst of this social ecosystem then ends the glory period of the civilization. Keywords: Collapse of society’s civilization, Al-Qur’an, Tafsir. Kata Kunci: Peradaban masyarakat, Al-qur’an, Tafsir.

In this paper, bifurcations and synchronization of a fractional-order Bloch system are studied. Firstly, the bifurcations with the variation of every order and the system parameter for the system are discussed. The rich dynamics in the fractional-order Bloch system including chaos, period, limit cycles, period-doubling, and tangent bifurcations are found. Furthermore, based on the stability theory of fractional-order systems, the adaptive synchronization for the system with unknown parameters is realized by designing appropriate controllers. Numerical simulations are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness and flexibility of the controllers.
