Lack of students' skills in answering questions that require analysis, evaluation, and creativity so that in learning they cannot answer questions that require higher-order thinking skills. This results in the level of thinking of students in Indonesia is still low, as seen from Indonesia's ranking in the TIMSS in 2015. One of the efforts made to improve these higher thinking skills is by using the HOTS test package. This type of research is a development research with the Thiagrajan or Four D Model which aims to describe the process and results of developing HOTS-based test packages for eighth grade students on the Theorema Pythagoras material which is valid, practical, and effective in training students' higher order thinking skills. The method used in this research is the test method to determine the validity and effectiveness of the test package and the questionnaire method to determine practicality. The results of this study are in the form of students' achievements in analyzing, evaluating, and creating in accordance with higher-order thinking indicators with good interpretations. The HOTS-based test package, the subject of Pythagorean Theorema, produced in this study is valid, practical, and effective and can be used to improve students' higher order thinking skills. Keywords: Test Package, Pythagorean Theorem, Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)

This study aims to produce a package of questions measuring internalized argumentation skills (IAS) that meet the requirements of logical validity (content and construct) and empirical validity. The research follows Fenrich’s development model. The implementation of the test package to test the empirical validity involved 30 participants, students of the Chemistry Education Study Program. The research data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the research, a package of IAS measuring questions for chemistry students has been successfully developed. The IAS measuring test package consists of five questions with details of one easy level question, three medium level questions, and one difficult level question. The package of questions developed has met the requirements of logical validity (content and construct) and empirical validity.

Goodness of fit (GOF) tests of logistic regression attempt to find out the suitability of the model to the data. The null hypothesis of all GOF tests is the model fit. R as a free software package has many GOF tests in different packages. A Monte Carlo simulation has been conducted to study two situations; the first, studying the ability of each test, under its default settings, to accept the null hypothesis when the model truly fitted. The second, studying the power of these tests when assumptions of sufficient linear combination of the explanatory variables are violated (by omitting linear covariate term, quadratic term, or interaction term). Moreover, checking whether the same test in different R packages had the same results or not. As the sample size supposed to affect simulation results, so the pattern of change of GOF tests results under different sample sizes as well as different model settings was estimated. All tests accept the null hypothesis (more than 95% of simulation trials) when the model truly fitted except modified Hosmer-Lemeshow test in "LogisticDx" package under all different model settings and Osius and Rojek’s (OsRo) test when the true model had an interaction term between binary and categorical covariates. In addition, le Cessie-van Houwelingen-Copas-Hosmer unweighted sum of squares (CHCH) test gave unexpected different results under different packages. Concerning the power study, all tests had a very low power when a departure of missing covariate existed. Generally, stukel’s test (package ’LogisticDX) and CHCH test (package "RMS") reached a power in detecting a missing quadratic term greater than 80% under lower sample size while OsRo test (package ’LogisticDX’) was better in detecting missing interaction term. Beside the simulation study, we evaluated the performance of GOF tests using the breast cancer dataset.

Ethnomatematics is the science of mathematics practiced by a cultural group where the society has unconsciously applied the concept of mathematics. The purpose of this study is to describe ethnomatemics in the activity of making tobacco motifs and to produce test packages. This type of research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. There are three subjects in this study, S1 as the maker of patterns / designs, color locking, and "nglorod", S2 as a dyeing and coloring, and S3 as the maker of batik cap. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. This research is focused on the tobacco making batik activity. The results of this study indicate the existence of ethnomatematics which includes activities: counting, measuring, and designing. Ethnomatematics in this study was made as a test package in the form of descriptive questions for even ninth grade students.

This  research developed  product of test instruments based computer -High Order Thinking (CBT-HOT)  in intermediate reading courses in Ikip Budi Utomo Malang. Test instruments based computer -High Order Thinking (CBT-HOT) in intermediate reading courses are high-level test package that are provided online by using a website as a basis for students who access it, so it is suitable to campus vision that must use ICT technology. The product consists of five test packages compiled with high-level criteria according to Taxonomy Bloom , those are package A, B, C, D and E. The design of this research adapts from the Borg and Gall model with the following steps (1) need analysis, (2) planning, (3) product development, (4) expert validation, (5) product revisions and (6) product trials. The objectives of this study are: (1) to produce scientific articles published in reputable national journals; (2) to produce scientific article published in international scientific journals; (3) produce CBT-HOT based test computer products that will be certified. The average value on material validation showed good results,  which the average score 2,81. The average value of media  validation also shows good results, which is 2.86. The average value in test instruments is 2.87.

This study aims to explore anything ethnomatematics related to woodwork in Tutul Village, Jember. Woodcraft is a craft made from wood. This type of research is a study using a qualitative approach with ethnographic design. Research subjects in this study were craftsmen and owners of "Ara Collections" wood production houses. In this study the object is focused on bracelets, necklaces, and keeping. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that wood crafts have mathematical elements. The mathematical elements found are ball, tube, cube, integrated cone, rectangular flat, circle, parabolic, ellipsoid, hyperbole, hyperbole, geometric patterns, reflection, dilation, and congruence and concordance. The teaching material made is in the form of a geometry test package related to ethnomatematics in wood crafts in Tutul Village, Balung Sub-District, Jember.   Keywords: Ethnomatematics; Woodcraft; Geometry; Teaching Materials

Librarian Work Competency Certification Program has been implemented since 2013. The significance and sustainability of the program's implementation need to be evaluated comprehensively to give decision makers the sustainability of the program going forward. The evaluation uses the context, input, process, product (CIPP) model by analyzing the objectives, planning, implementation planning and the certification program results. The study was conducted at the Jakarta Librarian Professional Certification Institute (LSP) competency test site. Based on interview data, focus group discussions, observations, and study of related documents it is known that the program has been carried out by applicable procedures and regulations. So that in general, the Librarian LSP is eligible to provide a certificate of competence to the librarian following the results of the competency certification test package that is followed. However, there are still several aspects that need to be corrected and refined immediately, bearing in mind that the certification program has an impact on librarians for career development and increasing competitive value for their parent institutions. Optimizing the performance of Librarian LSPs or the formation of other forms of Librarian LSPs is needed to accelerate the certification of Indonesian librarians.

abstractWe tested whether the proportion of typical sentences in a series of auditory sentences would lead people to adjust the strength of activation of world knowledge (i.e., retrieval rules adaptation) during comprehension. This issue is important because it could help clarify how people efficiently integrate different memory information in cognitive processes. In two experiments, all task materials were presented to participants as a whole package, in which proportions of typical sentences, with typical final locations, varied under different conditions. In Experiment 1, the proportion of typical sentences was equal to the atypical ones (i.e., 50% typical vs. 50% atypical), whereas in Experiment 2, the proportion of typical sentences was not equal to the atypical ones (i.e., 75% typical vs. 25% atypical, and 25% typical vs. 75% atypical). Visual fixation on the critical area in a visual display before/while hearing the critical words was compared across conditions, and across-condition differences were used as an index of the adaptation of the retrieval rule in the activation of world knowledge. The findings indicated that the adaptation of retrieval rules occurs throughout the whole test package of sentence comprehension, and the strength of activation of world knowledge in sentence comprehension can be adjusted.
