For the past 30 years, Lean has become popular throughout organisations across the globe. Based on the Toyota Production System (TPS), Lean is a proven systematic methodology to reduce waste in processes, optimise efficiency and ensure quality in the end products. Although Lean has been proven to be a successful methodology, it also has a high failure rate. Research has identified a range of critical success factors (CSF) that are crucial towards the successful implementation of Lean. This research endeavour takes a qualitative approach, using Grounded Theory (GT) to investigate Lean implementation in Maltese organisations and to determine whether established CSFs are applicable to the Maltese context. Participants from the manufacturing, catering, and logistics industries are interviewed, with the data coded and analysed using MAXQDA2020. The findings suggest the importance of leadership as a catalyst in driving change within an organisation to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

δ-ferrite was formed in the weld metal when the melted metal solidified to the room temperature. The δ-ferrite morphology depended on the composition, temperature gradient and growth rate. Research on the influence of heat treatment temperature (400°C, 600°C, 900°C) on the morphology changes and the δ-ferrite content is presented in this paper using optical microscopy, SEM, TEM. The δ-ferrite concentration reduced continuously in increasing temperature (from 23.5% after welding to 11% at 900°C for 10 hours). Besides, the formation of sigma phase and carbides at 600°C were the main cause of increasing hardness values in the fusion zone. However, the heat treatment at a temperature of 900°C eliminated both the sigma phase and brittleness.

An increase of steroid hormones in controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) procedures is reducing the success rate in assisted reproductive technology (ART), and this includes the pregnancy rate and/or implantation rate. Research has found that the decrease in the success rate occurred due to the decreased expression of the protein that is needed to prepare the endometrium so that the embryo could attach. The aim of the study was to analyse the changes in E-chaderin expression due to COH and its relations with increased level of steroid hormones as one of the proteins in the endometrium. There were 13 samples of stored biological tissue from Macaca nemestrina endometrial tissue; came from one group of natural cycles as the control group ( n = 4 ) and three groups of stimulated cycles. The first stimulated cycle group was injected by a 30 IU dose of rFSH ( n = 2 ). The second stimulated cycle group was injected by a 50 IU dose of rFSH ( n = 4 ). The third stimulated cycle group was injected by a 70 IU dose of rFSH ( n = 3 ). The expression of E-cadherin was measured by the immunohistochemistry (IHC) technique. Estradiol (E2) and progesterone (P4) levels were assessed using ELISA and have already been done. The IHC staining expression of E-cadherin was found in the cytoplasm of glandular epithelium. Immunostaining measurement used the H_SCORE. We found that the expression of E-cadherin within the group was not significantly different ( p value: 0.178). Similarly, both the correlation between the estradiol level with E-cadherin and the correlation between the progesterone level with E-cadherin were not significantly different ( p value: 0.872 and p value: 0.836). The conclusion is that the level of E-Cadherin expression in the endometrium that were taken in themiddle secretion phase not affected by the dose regimen that given. In addition, the level of expression is not influenced by the increase of serum E2 and P4 levels.

The purpose of the article is to establish the main trends in the development of the market of fuel and energy resources in the agricultural sector, to build a model for calculating the retail price of diesel fuel in Ukraine, depending on world oil prices and the US dollar exchange rate. Research methods. In the process of research, the dialectical method of scientific cognition, analysis and synthesis, system generalization (establishment of the basic tendencies of development of the market of fuel and energy resources in the agricultural sector, formation of conclusions) is used; analytical alignment of the trend (linear) (identifying the trend in the dynamics of demand for gasoline and diesel fuel) were used; world oil prices and retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel in Ukraine); correlation and regression analysis (quantitative measurement of the degree of influence on the price of diesel fuel of both individual factors and their combination; construction of a regression model for calculating the retail price of diesel fuel in Ukraine depending on world oil prices and the US dollar exchange rate). Research results. The main trends in the development of the market of fuel and energy resources in the agricultural sector of Ukraine have been established. The degree of influence of both individual factors and their combination on the price of diesel fuel has been determined. A regression model is built for calculating the retail price of diesel fuel in Ukraine depending on world oil prices and the US dollar exchange rate. A short-term forecast of the price of diesel fuel in Ukraine has been carried out. Scientific novelty. Based on the establishment of the main trends in the development of the market of fuel and energy resources in the agricultural sector, an econometric model based on multiple linear regression has been built, which allows determining the relationship between the retail price of diesel fuel in Ukraine and the world oil price, as well as the dollar exchange rate. Practical significance. Conclusions, suggestions and practical recommendations can be used in the development of investment projects in agriculture and the formation of state programs for the agricultural sector development. One of solutions that is often used in recent times in street networks is vertical shift in pavement level at mid-block pedestrian crossings. This measure is aimed at reducing vehicle speed and increasing the motorist yield rate. Research results about the influence of raised mid-block pedestrian crossings on pedestrian and driver behaviour are presented through analysis of traffic flow parameters. The research was conducted at a mid-block signalised pedestrian crossing prior to and after rehabilitation of that crossing.

Detransition is tied to three related but distinct concepts – the act of detransitioning, the ‘detransitioner’ identity, and the negative transition experience – which I refer to collectively using the umbrella term ‘detrans’. Detrans research is inevitably political and value-laden, but different methodologies and research questions lend themselves to divergent goals. Drawing on work in the feminist philosophy of science and transfeminist scholarship, I draw a conceptual distinction between research aligned with the goals of ‘preventing detrans’ vs. ‘supporting detrans’. Existing research has constructed detransition as a negative clinical outcome to be prevented because it has been focused on the causes of detrans and the detrans rate. Research associated with the goal of supporting detrans is defined by its focus on the experience and process of detrans itself. Research on preventing detrans constructs detrans as a divisive issue of zero-sum clinical risk, and it is not oriented toward helping people who detransition or who have a negative transition experience. Research on supporting detrans, in contrast, constructs detrans as an issue of inclusion and can be used to improve the medical and mental health care that detrans people receive. I argue that there is an urgent need for qualitative sociological research involving detrans people. I conclude with some broad guidelines for researchers studying detrans.

Currently, in the whole world is experiencing a COVID-19 pandemic, including Indonesia. In Indonesia, there are quite a lot of people who have been affected by this virus. The presence of the COVID-19 will affect the economy, both in Indonesia and throughout the world. Many countries are predicted to experience a recession due to this pandemic. Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said, if COVID-19 could be handled as soon as possible, then economic growth was still above 4%. But the government must keep on preparing if this pandemic will last for another 3-6 months, the economic situation will worsen, with economic growth estimated at around 2.5% or even 0%.The purpose of this research is to find out the growth of COVID-19 in Indonesia and the impact of COVID-19 on the exchange rate. In this research, a descriptive analysis method is used by collecting data from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance and Bank Indonesia. The results of this study indicate the growth of COVID-19 in Indonesia and the impact of the virus on the exchange rate. Keywords : COVID-19, Exchange Rate, Research Methodology

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of mucos acidity of vaginal mucous when estrus towards conception rate at KUD Tani Wilis Tulungagung District and KSU Tunas Setia Baru Pasuruan District. Measured samples were taken from 30 dairy cattles in each KUD. Mucos acidity of vaginal mucous were obtained by using a digital acidity meter before insemination was done on dairy cattle. After measuring the acidity from mucosal vagina mucous, artificial insemination has done on estrus dairy cattle. On the 60th day after insemination, rectal palpation was done to check the conception rate. Research result from 30 dairy cattle on each KUD showed that mucos acidity of vaginal mucous has signifficant effect towards conception rate. Mucos acidity of vaginal mucous range 6.5-8.5 with the highest range of conception rate in KSU Tunas Setia Baru Pasuruan District 7.5-7.7 and in KUD Tani Wilis Tulungagung District with the highest range of conception range 7.2-7.4 and 7.5-7.7.

In theory, Registered Reports eliminate publication bias against negative results because publication decisions are made without knowledge of the results; increase clarity between planned (hypothesis testing; confirmatory) and unplanned (hypothesis generating; exploratory) analyses, thereby increasing the diagnosticity of statistical inferences; and, leverage peer review expertise more effectively to foster better research methodology and more informative outcomes--regardless of whether they are positive or negative results, or are consistent or inconsistent with hypothesized outcomes. With the RRs published to date, there is observational evidence for some of these expectations. But, given the potentially transformative impact of RRs on the research process, we believe that it is essential to conduct a randomized trial to evaluate the model’s qualities. By collaborating with journals, we can conduct a randomized trial of RRs in an ecologically valid context. Authors who receive revise-and-resubmit decision letters asking for an additional study will be invited to participate in the trial. Those that opt-in will be randomized to either a status quo (i.e., standard of care) or RR condition for their resubmission with the additional study. We will examine the impact of RRs on publication (e.g., acceptance rate), research outcomes (e.g., rate of positive results), and qualities of methodology (e.g., sample size, transparency, rigor).
